Easter Dress: FOUND

I finally found an Easter dress for Katie! Hurray! It's not as Spring-ish and Easter-ish as I'd like, but she looks like a princess in it for sure! It's so pretty! Expensive for a baby dress she'll wear only twice! (To have her pictures taken, and Easter day.) But beautiful. I wish I had pictures of it to share, but give me a week! I made an appointment with Kiddie Kandids for this Thursday :) I'll be taking her First St. Patrick's Day pictures and her Easter pictures at the same time, to save me money. I will just need to do a quick "costume change" lol.

David and I are taking her to the beach for the first time on Saturday (weather permitting), just to walk around and dip her toes in the sand. It's way too cold for the ocean, I'm sure. But it will be a nice relaxing family day I hope :) Hopefully I can get some good, cute pictures in while we're there. But first I have to unload my camera at Sam's Club. My memory card is FULL!

Valencia Mall

Yesterday Katie and I went with my Mom to the Valencia mall in search of an Easter dress. We didn't find one smaller than 12 months :/ So I'll need to keep looking. But it was fun strolling around the mall. I took Katie on her first ride on a carousel (sp?). They had a 2 story one in the mall. But I wanted my Mom to be able to take pics of Katie on it, so I went on the first story. She did good! She held on all by herself, and was just looking around the whole time. She did look at me and smile once, and I thought it was the cutest thing :) Right after the ride, someone handed me a coupon for a free 10x13 picture for first time customers. So we decided what the heck, lets get a free picture. We go inside and get one taken. It was fun. The people were REALLY good with Katie, even though she didn't smile much, I did get a few cute pictures. I really like Kiddie Kandids a LOT better though. The place I went to, Picture People, didn't have backgrounds. They have white, blue, and some other color, I forget. But that's all...they mostly just use props they said. The pictures are cute, but definately not the best. We might go again soon though, only because they said the Easter Bunny will be there 1 weekend, and my Mom bought me a $12 membership, which gives me a free sheet and $10 off every time I go. So I can get 2 sheets for $8 every time. lol. Unless I love the pictures and end up spending more. But idk if that will happen at this place. At Kiddie Kandids I always spend more than I want to! haha. But anyway, it was a fun day, and I'm glad we went. After David got off work, we went to see his Mom because she's going back to Florida today, and she wanted to see Katie one more time. Apparently staying up that late exhausted my little girl, because she slept ALL night again, for the 3rd time this week! I'm SO HAPPY! SLEEEEP! It was not 3 nights in a row :( But it was still 3 nights this week, and that is good for Mommy!

Please Be a Stage!

Katie has recently decided she doesn't want her diaper to be changed. She screams and crawls away from me every time. This has lasted about a week so far, and it's driving me crazy. It's always such a struggle, not only to change her diaper, but to put clothes on her too :/ She lets me take the diaper and clothes off, but when it's time to put them back on- forget it! I hope this stops soon, it's quickly running through my Mommy patience.

Another trip to the park

Yesterday my Mom, David, and I took Katie to the park. She rode around in her car for a while, and then played at the park. We tried putting her in the grass, but she did not like the feeling of it, and whined when she tried to crawl on it lol.

Later into the day, David let Katie wear his sunglasses because she did not like the sun in her eyes! So he put the glasses on her, and she actually kept them on! I think she liked them haha. She looked all around with them on her head, it made us laugh. We took some cute pictures, and had a nice time :) It was a nice day out, I'm glad we went.


I forgot to mention a week or so ago, we took Katie out in her car for the first time, around my Aunt Mary's neighborhood, and took some funny pictures. This one is my favorite haha. Katie LOVES being in her car, and I'm glad. I can't wait until the weather is pretty everyday out here, and we can spend more time outdoors and at the park. I also have a season pass for Dry Town, our local water park, so I can take Katie on boring summer days :)

Too many pictures!

Friday I bought a pack of new photo albums since I haven't had any to put new pictures in for MONTHS. So I bought a pack of 3, that hold 300 each. 900 pictures altogether. You'd think that'd be enough to hold all my pictures. But nope! I'm going to have to go back and get another 3 pack. They're only $20 for all 3, and hey, now I'll have 6 matching ones lol. I'm still putting them in right now, it's taking longer than I thought! Right now I'm doing October 2007 lol. I organized them into months (I wrote the month, and date if I knew it, on all the pics when I got them developed so I would remember lol). After I get them organized into months, I try to put them in order of how they happened that month lol. Taking forever! I have 1 more photo album to fill, and probably 500-600 more pictures :/

Later that night I also took Ashley (my cousin) out to eat. I haven't seen her in a LONG time! And I miss her. So we went out to eat, and of course I took Katie! I ordered Katie a side of mashed potatoes lol. But she only ate a little bit. She mostly chewed on Ashley's straw from her water cup, and I gave her a lick of a lemon to see what she would do, and she actually liked the darn thing and started sucking it up, so I had to take it away from here lol.

Then we took a ride over to Toys R Us to buy Katie diapers and a new toy. I had promised her we would the day before, and just in case she really can understand me, I wasn't going to lie to her! haha. I bought her a cute Curious George toy that plays peek-a-boo. But I realized after I bought it, he goes all over the house while he's playing, so I had to take it to my Mom's, since it won't go good on my carpet, and my Mom has a lot of tile. Oh well, she can play with it there. Anyway, that was my Friday night.

Happy Valentine's Day

Happy Valentine's Day everyone! I hope you all have a good day!

I'm going to spend the day with Katie until David gets off work. I'm going to cook for him and bake cookies, and have his Valentine presents ready for him. I can't wait until he comes home :)

We already spent Valentine's Day together on the 12th since he had work on the actual day. He surprised me and took me ice skating and out to dinner. It was sweet :)

My work day wasn't so great since I don't think my teacher likes me, but hopefully tonight will go better. I got my tax check today too, so that is also a nice surprise. I still have to go pick it up, but H&R Block called me to tell me

Awe...

So after my horrible weekend with Katie's teething, and no sleep for neither her or me. David brought me a balloon home, and I thought he was so sweet :) He cooked me dinner the other night too, while I was trying for an hour to rock Katie to sleep :) Thank goodness she is feeling much better lately, thanks to the Infant Motrin lol. She's still WILD, but at least she's not whining and crying to whole time she's playing anymore lol.

Tomorrow he's taking me out for an early Valentine's, since he has work on the actual day. He's so cute sometimes, I love it :)

Valentine Pictures

On Friday we went to the mall to take her pictures at Kiddie Kandids. I got there a little early to meet my Mom so she could fix Katie's hair. I cannot for the life of me seem to get her hair into pigtails. So at 3:15 our appointment passes us by because they're so busy. By this time Katie is getting restless. When it's finally our turn, the lady helping us, who was posing her and taking the pictures, didn't really know what she was doing in my opinion. As soon as I got in there, she asked me what I wanted to do. How the heck do I know what props and backgrounds they have? She works there, not me...so I told her, I don't know, I want Valentine pictures. She was trying to give me a black background. I wasn't going for that...Katie was wearing a pink & red dress, I wanted it to match obviously.

So anyway, Katie was cranky, kept whining, and didn't want to smile. So I made another appointment for the same day, at 6:45 and pushed Katie around the mall in her stroller until then. She slept and drank her bottle, and looked around the stores. When it was time to go back, my cousin Desiree was also going to be there, taking pictures of her son and niece. All the pictures came out really cute. Katie was in a little better of a mood, and I love every picture she took, and had to buy each pose lol. But as soon as she was done with the pictures, Katie became Ms. Crabby again. But at least she took the pics good the second time! I'm happy about that.

Spoke too soon!

Katie's teething these past 2 day has literally been HELL. She is up all night screaming in pain. Nothing was working. Infant Tylenol, Baby Orajel, holding her, rocking her, I was at a loss! My Mom and Mary finally brought over Highlands this morning, and she instantly stopped crying. THANK GOODNESS! What a relief, I have not slept in almost 2 days. I finally got her to sleep lat night a little after midnight, after hours of rocking her and walking around carrying her. Only for her to wake up two hours later :( I am dead tired, and so is Katie, but she couldn't sleep because she was in too much pain. I felt so sad for her, my heart was breaking. Please, give me a month before her next tooth comes in! lol

Woohoo!

Just noticed Katie now has 2 teeth coming in :) The two bottom front teeth. I'm excited. She's so cute :p

Mama?

Katie has been saying something, that sounds extremely like "Mama" lately. But I don't want to jump the gun and say she is saying it, when she's really not. David and I heard her again this morning, when she was in her crib, crying to get out. He swears she said Mama, and it did sound like it, but again, I'm not 100% sure, but either way, it's exciting. I hope she starts talking soon :) I can't wait! She's growing up so fast, I can't believe she's almost 8 months. My little baby is going to be a toddler before I know it :(

Kiddie Kandids

I've made an appointment for Katie to take her Valentine's Day pictures at Kiddie Kandids this Friday (my payday haha). I was scared I wouldn't be able to get them taken since Kiddie Kandids has been under construction this past month, but they just opened up today! I was so happy when I found out! BUT...I did find a different outfit for her to wear now lol. Instead of the "My Heart Belongs To Mommy" shirt I had. This new one is a cute dress I found at Kohl's last week. I hope she comes out extra cute. I'll have to have my Mom help me with her new cute pigtails for the pictures. That would be so cute :) I'll post pictures when I take them.

School

I started my classes for the semester yesterday. I have to say. I really hate school. lol. The only class it looks like I'm going to like is my PE class if you can believe that. But I do hate waking up early to go to it! That's a bummer haha. Monday's are now my worst days. I am at school all day it seems, and I miss Katie so much :/ I'm sad knowing I won't be able to see her and spend time with her on Monday's, because when I get home, it's already past her bedtime :/ This is going to be a struggle for me, I hate being away from her for too long. And to top it all off, Desiree and I are stuck in a hard boring class (History of California). The teacher makes us write notes for 2 hours straight. And each week we have an essay test on all our notes and 3 chapters of the book! I'm not sure I'm going to do well in this class, I'm really going to have to try hard! Stressful for me!



Anyway, while I was at school all night yesterday, my Mom was busy giving Katie a new "do." Came out really cute I think! I guess she finally has enough hair to be able to put it into two small pigtails :) (And yes, she loves to eat tv remotes, lol)

Wishing it was warmer...

My Mom bought Katie a new "car" to drive around in. Or more likely- be pushed around in lol. I can't wait until it's warmer outside so that I can take her "driving" around the park. She hasn't been able to use her new car yet because of the weather and it makes me sad :( I hope she likes it, it's so cute :) She's so funny in it, the whole time we were pushing her around in my Mom's house, she kept standing up in the car lol. Silly girl.
