Thanksgiving 2014

We spent the morning with my family, like usual, since we eat early. The kids all played together, and had lots of fun. Little Emma was in the mix as well. She loves playing with the older kids.
I was able to hang out with my cousins too.
I'm glad some of the family was able to come over and spend time with my Grandma. I know she loves having the family together.
Always always thankful for my kids.

We headed over to the Wonser's for dinner. Katie stocked up on olives, haha. She's cute.
Zoey took pictures of everyone around the house.
The older girls thought they were too cool drinking apple cider out of the "big girl" cups haha. Funny watching them grow up, when I met them so young.
We ended the night sitting around the bonfire in the backyard. It was a nice relaxing day/night. I'm glad we are able to fit both families in each year.
I adore holidays. It's nice to get together with everyone and hang out. Even better when the kids get along and have a good time too =)

Athena's 8th Birthday

Katie's friend from school and Girl Scouts invited Katie (and Emma) to The American Girl Place for her birthday party. The girls were all given lunch and birthday cake. There were so many of Katie's classmates there. They had so much fun. They all brought a doll to sit at the table with them, and Emma borrowed one of the toddler dolls they have there for guests. She was very excited.
The group photo of the girls and their dolls.
Katie sat next to her bff Abby.
The dessert cart for the girls.
The store set up this group photo before all the girls ate their cake.
After, we went outside to open presents. Athena got a lot of neat things, I'm pretty sure she had a great birthday. All the girls had a fun day.
After presents, everyone split off by themselves. I took Katie back to the American Girl place and let her use the money she brought with her to buy a new outfit for her doll. But instead she bought a $30 tiny dog for it =/ lol. She loves it though.

Holloway Wedding

My friend Rachel asked me to be a bridesmaid in her wedding. My Mom watched the kids and David and I spent the night in the hotel with them, since it was an early morning wedding out of town. David got to sleep in while I got up early to get ready with the girls ;)
We had to wait outside a while for photos and things, so things got a little bit silly :p
It was nice having a day to ourselves, I would not have been able to watch the kids and be in the wedding. We had a good time at the rehearsal dinner and ceremony =)

I love that David was willing to wear purple to match me ;)

Congratulations David & Rachel! I wish you the best for your future together! It was a pretty wedding, I'm so happy for Rachel to find someone to spend her life with, and happy she chose to include me.

Thanksgiving School Party

Emma and I joined Katie at her Thanksgiving party. She likes when I go to her school events, and Emma has to tag along because she's too hard for anyone to baby-sit. The teacher was nice enough to share a few snacks with Emma, and she was chowing down.

The snacks were cute, the kids were given the pieces and they "made" them before eating them.
And now, Katie has a week off of school with us =)

Thankful For Girl Scouts

We had a small potluck tonight for our Girl Scout meeting. The kids made a craft telling what they were thankful for this year, and then they were able to get a plate of food to eat. Instead of turkey, our leader Gemma bought fried chicken, hahaha.

Big Hero 6

I took the kids to the movies to see Big Hero 6. Sam was in town visiting so we picked him up too. My Mom met us at the theater. Having 3 kids in my car was different. Emma wanted Katie and Sam's toys, they didn't want to share, and I turned my music on ;) When we got there Sam and Katie picked out a snack and we watched the movie. It was so cute! Disney always does good.

50's For The 50th

Katie's school celebrated the 50th day of school by having a 50's dress down down. Luckily, I already had a poodle skirt in the closet that was too big for Katie last year. It was perfect this year. She was happy to wear it, I think she liked it. She was so pretty. I love this girl.

Thanks for reading my blog!
