Roscoe's
I always hear how good Roscoe's Chicken and Waffles is, but I've never been myself. So I recruited David, Lauryn and Oscar to go with me to give it a try. When we got there, we realized all their chicken has bones in it. I'm very picky, and I don't like bones in my meat. I found out tonight, neither do Lauryn or Oscar haha. So David ordered chicken, I ordered a waffle, and Lauryn and Oscar each got a chicken sandwich. The end result: All four of us decided we are not a fan, and most likely wouldn't go back again. We tried it, we didn't like it, now we know!

Meet The Teacher, Kindergarten
Katie's school does a "Meet the Teacher" the Friday before school starts, so the kids can get familiar with the classroom and see who their teacher is and where their desk is and everything. I went with Maria to go check it out during lunch when the kids were napping. I was able to see her desk and cubby and show her where everything was so she wouldn't be so lost on Tuesday, her first day of school. The teacher even put juices on all the desks for the kids who came. Her new teacher is Ms. Ferguson, she seems nice =)

Disney's Cars Land
I took the day off work to go to Disneyland with my Mom and Katie. It was a nice day, not too crowded!
The new Cars Land is open, and my Mom and I wanted to check it out. Katie didn't care as much, since "Cars is for boys." So we just dragged her along with us :p
They had a couple new rides for the kids to enjoy, and Katie sure had fun on them =) We couldn't get her on the fast one, but that's okay, there will always be more time for that when she gets older and more brave.
My Mom's favorite treat at Disneyland.
Katie got this $20 misting fan out of me, thank goodness I had gift cards from my birthday. She sure liked making herself cool, until she lost the battery cover, that bummed me out!
Katie's first time on the canoe's.
Katie's first time watching the Disney Jr. show in California Adventure. It had Mickey Mouse's Clubhouse, Jake and the Neverland Pirates, and Little Einsteins. It was really cute and a lot of fun.
Katie went on the Rapids for the first time today too! So many firsts! I bought her this pin to remember how much she loved the rapids. My Mom took her on it twice. She is finally tall enough!
One more time before going home!
Such a good day, I love Disneyland!

Katie's Gymnastics Field Trip
My class and Katie's class went to main campus for a field trip to their gymnastics center as a last field trip of the summer, before the new school year starts next week. Maria even brought her daughter Leah.
They were not prepared for us at all, apparently, someone forgot to make the reservation or something, so the workers did the best they could to make sure the kids had a fun time.
What a chaotic fun day for the kids. It was so crazy not having anything planned, but the end result was the kids having a great time anyway, so that's awesome. Katie sure enjoyed herself. They did the parachute, then did an obstacle course and the kids just went around and around on that until it was time to go back to school for lunch. But it was a lot of fun for them, jumping in the foam blocks, swinging on the ropes, and all that fun stuff.

Lynn's 60th Birthday
For Lynn's 60th birthday, Jennifer made us reservations at La Chene. The whole family went and celebrated her birthday. Katie picked a beautiful dress and flower to wear.
I'm very suspicious that they told everyone the wrong time, since most of the Wonsers usually show up late. So, David and I were careful to get there on time, meaning...we got there about...45 minutes before everyone else showed up. So we walked around and tried to pass the time.
Katie made David play wedding with her. They walked down the aisle together.
And then took their vows. Haha. So adorable.
Thank goodness Katie brought paper and crayons so she had something to do.
The menu was written on a big chalkboard.
Preston ordered escargot and shared it with the table so people could try it. David was brave enough, yuck! lol
I'm a picky eater, so I ordered something simple...Chicken Alfredo. It was not good =/ Oh well. Everyone else liked their food I think, I'm just so picky. Maybe I should have ordered something else.
Lynn and her grandkids.
Lynn and her children.
Lynn and her husband Bob.
The whole entire clan!
Happy Birthday Lynn! What a special 60th to have the whole family together at a nice restaurant to celebrate her =)

AV Fair 2012
Miss Christy gave me some tickets to the fair for my birthday, and my Mom gave Katie money to buy a wristband, so David and I took her. I brought money to be prepared to buy snacks and toys for Katie, I know my girl!
She loves playing games to try to win prizes.
We ran into Jaren with his Dad and sisters, so he went on a few rides with Katie. They were SO excited to see each other they were dancing and jumping up and down together. It was so cute.
They always hold hands when they walk somewhere together.
She got this $8 unicorn out of me =/
We bought tickets for the Ferris Wheel. Sold separately from the wristband! So fun though, all 3 of us were able to ride it together.
This super slide in the big kid area was by far Katie's favorite. She went on more than 20 times!
I know the fair is always hot and crowded and a lot of people (including most of my family) hate it, but I love taking Katie every year. I solve the heat problem by going at night. It's something fun in town to do, that makes Katie happy.
