Lunch With Dad

We hooked up with Dad on his lunch break today near his work. I haven't been to Katz N Jammers since I was in driving school as a teenager. It was fun to eat there with the kids. Cute little place. Grateful for days like this with my little family. There's nothing like the laid back summer time feeling, in my opinion. Doing whatever you want each day, being lazy, going out and having fun, just living together and spending all our time together.

Planters Of Flowers

David spruced up the backyard a bit by adding some planters and flowers. They look pretty nice. Home improvements are always great.

David's New Toy

David bought himself a new toy. He's currently obsessed with golf and goes with his friend Adam and brother Steven when he gets the chance. He wanted to work on his short distance putting I guess, so he bought himself a little indoor golf hole to practice on. He was teaching Katie how to play on it too. It's cool to see them spend time together and to see Katie grow old enough to be interested in our interests as well.
Emma was just hangin' haha.

Travis is 9!

A photo of my 19 soon to be 20 week old bump.
We went to Travis' birthday today at his house. They had the pool ready to go for the kids to play in, and the swing set too. Katie swam like a fishy all day, while Emma played on the swings and followed me around, like usual.

Little Audrey is so cute. Emma was interested in her today. She can't play just yet, but one day!
Currently obsessed with Nerf Guns.

I just hung out and followed kids around. Took photos. It was nice. I'm so glad they have cousins on both sides of the family to play with on holidays and birthdays.

Home Life

Enjoying lazy summer days, promising myself that I'll do more with them next summer when I'm not pregnant anymore, because I feel guilty for being tired and hot.

David laid on the floor, so the kids laid on him.

Better Late Than Never

So I have a photo of my Dad and I when I was a baby, in a sailor dress, and a few years ago, David surprised me for Mother's Day by recreating the photo with Katie. Well, I realized we never got a chance to do that with Emma, and time was running out for her to fit in that dress. We might be a few months later than I took these photos or when Katie took these photos, but I'm glad we were able to get them with Emma too. I am going to need a bigger frame though, that will hold all 3 now =)
Later on, we headed over to the Acton Park, to movie night =) Of course we had to go a little early to play on the playground first though. Super nice summer nights with my girls. Snow cones are also a must. So thankful to have these free movie nights with inexpensive snacks. It's a nice way to spend an evening together.

Karaoke and S'mores

My little nosy girl was checking out the backyard today, since she can reach when she stands on the treadmill. She is so funny.
Katie played with the new karaoke machine Desiree gave her for her birthday today, so far we only have 2 songs, I have to figure out how to add more or buy another cd or something for it. Katie has always had a passion for singing, so this was a cool gift.
When it got dark, David set the bon fire up for us in the backyard. I love when he does that for us. We all made s'mores and they were delicious.I bought 4 metal sticks from Target for $1 each, to roast the marshmallows on, pretty good deal. Emma was making me a little nervous, but Katie is a pro by now. So yummy! Summer nights are so relaxing and wonderful. Now if only the summer days weren't so hot.

Surprising Father's Day

This year on Father's Day, I made an announcement on Facebook. David, Katie, and I have been keeping a secret for a few months. The girls are going to have a little brother this year! I found out I was pregnant on Easter and wanted to wait until the first trimester was done before telling anyone. Then, we figured we should wait until I found out the sex of the baby before telling anyone. At an appointment I had a few weeks ago, I was told that it was a boy, but just to be safe, the technician told me she is 80% sure and not to take it for 100% just yet. Then the other day, at my appointment, they said it is definitely a boy, and showed me proof on the ultrasound. I'm kind of nervous to have 3 kids, because 2 is already so much work, but it's going to be exciting and it's going to be fun, and we're all going to love him so much. I'm nervous and excited at the same time. I have no experience with boys, so we'll see how I do! I'm good at Princesses and tea parties, now I have to learn some new tricks. David is super happy to have another boy in the house with all our drama girls.
Now for Father's Day. We spent it with David's family like we do every year. They had a bbq at Michael's house. Emma was chowing on the ribs! I'm glad she likes meat. David told his family about the baby in person, before I posted it. I had already told my Mom a few days ago. David's family is almost all girls too, so this boy will be a nice change from the many girls we all have. I'm sure he'll end up playing dolls eventually though, being so surrounded haha. Here's to the future! Wish us luck! We're going to be outnumbered now!

Katie's 8th Party

My beautiful baby girl had her party today. She had a blast! I'm so glad. Every year she tells me "this was the best birthday ever!" haha. That's a good thing to hear, that she loves all her birthdays so much =) The theme this year was Ever After High. She just loves those movies on Netflix. I've watched them with her, they are cute. She's growing up so quickly, but I'm also excited to see the new adventures in her life. She'll always be my baby girl. At her party, everyone had a lot of fun. I was disappointed that we had to have it so early, but it was still fun. I booked the party over a month in advance, but the only time available for a weekend was 9 am. Bummer. I'm thankful for everyone who woke up early to come celebrate with us. It was a good morning, lots of fun. We played and played and jumped and slid and had tons of fun, then we had pizza and cake in another room. Katie got tons of books and presents and gift cards and nice things. She's a lucky girl to have so much family and friends who care about her. Living around all her family is great.

When we got home, Katie and David played with her new chess set. She is so smart, I had no idea how to play when I was her age, and she put it on her wishlist this year. I'm always so proud of her. I like when David and Katie get to spend time together and do something they both like. Watching David play and get along with the girls is one of my favorite things.
