Our trip to Seaworld

The morning started off with Katie getting stuck inside of my car. The passenger door doesn't accept the key (I think a key has broken off in there before and is now stuck) and Jorge never finished fixing my new door for my driver side. It doesn't have a handle, so it won't open at all. Well, getting out of my car in the morning, to switch to my Mom's, David locked the door behind him. He didn't realize all the doors were locked now. Katie was still in the car, all alone. How scary! We couldn't figure out how to get it open, after a few minutes, my Mom says how about the trunk? So I opened the trunk and tried to kick the seat down, but Katie was in the middle of the backseat, so she was in the way and it wouldn't push very far. My Mom and I kept trying to kick it more and more, and we finally got it cracked enough for Dave Dave to crawl through and unlock the door. I know Jorge is busy, but it's getting very annoying not having a working door. How scary to have my baby locked in there :(

We finally got on the road after that. The kids slept maybe halfway there. When Katie woke up she threw up everywhere and was stinky :/ I rinsed her off as best I could with wipes in the car, but obviously that wasn't good enough. We waited until after breakfast (so she could at least take SOME cute pictures in her Elmo outfit with the characters) then my Mom took her to the bathroom and washed her clothes in the sink and changed her into pajama's. Boy did I feel tacky having my daughter run around in pajama's all day :/

The breakfast wasn't that good, and definately not worth the $20 per person. The characters were cute though. We missed Elmo but we took pictures with some of the others ones, and they danced too, and Katie joined them. She had fun. I bought a cute one of David with Big Bird (Elmo and Big Bird were the only ones they took the pictures of with their cameras, and we missed Elmo :/).

After that we went to go to the Bay of Play area that's for kids. David ran on the nets, and went all over the bridges super fast. We lost track of him and I had to climb up there after him to find him. Apparently, he got scared when he didn't see any of us, because I found him talking to a worker there lol. I stuck with that kid on the nets the rest of the morning. He goes FAST, I was beat! It was sticky outside, but had cool breezes, but I still needed lost of cold water :p After the nets he wanted to go in the bounce place, then the punching bag area. After that we found where Elmo and Zoe take pictures with you, and there was no line so we went to town haha. My Mom bought one and I'm waiting for her to scan it so I can add it. Some came out cute, like David hugging Zoe. They liked Zoe best for some reason, maybe because she was a cute girl? It was funny though.

My Mom took David and Katie on some rides and I got some pictures of them. Katie liked all the rides a lot. She was smiling so cute, and clapped after each one ended, haha. It was cute. She shook her head when it was time to get off, but she didn't have a choice, other kids were in line. We saw the characters dancing on their boat and singing, then Dave Dave played in the water area. Katie did not want to get wet, so she was in her stroller. We saw a face painting place and David picked a spider to go on his face. It came out good. We started walking to find something to do and Katie fell asleep soon after.

Because David only took 2 bites of sausage in the morning, he started asking for Yogo's (the snack his Mom usually brings with her lol) so we stopped for lunch. This food was better lol. But David still didn't eat much. Maybe a chicken strip and some whipped cream from his pudding...lol. Oh well. David found a rabbit on the way to look for the SkyRide and didn't like it when it ran from him haha. There were quite a few around the bushes and grassy areas. We found the SkyRide a little after that and bought tickets to go on. It was pretty up there, and Katie liked it. I took pictures of her, but because they wouldn't let all 5 of us go together, I didn't get any of Dave Dave :/

The starfish were next and Dave Dave wanted to touch the far ones that no one could reach lol. So he was out of luck there, and had to grab the close ones :p We saw the dolphins next and I was kind of dissapointed we missed the feeding times. That would have been fun. David saw the words Rapids, and for some reason thought it said his name, and insisted on riding "David" so my Mom took him on. There was no line, so they went on 3 times in a row. David, Katie, and I were bored waiting so we looked in the store next to the ride and David bought Katie a stuffed animal she grabbed off the shelf. She needs to learn stuff cost money :p My Mom and David were SOAKED after the ride. My Mom changed David so he could be dry and fresh. We were going to leave after that but my Mom promised Dave Dave she would get him the star candy he wanted that he saw earlier. We didn't remember which store we saw it in, so we got him some fish gummies instead. He wanted one of each color, lol. Katie had a tiny piece of one. They're funny kids. It was a long day, but it was fun. The kids slept the whole ride home. I gave Katie a bath when we got home because of the throw up and everything, I wanted to get her fresh for bed. She had dinner and then knocked out soon after. I like the pictures I got. We have a season pass, so maybe we will go again before the year is over. Maybe in November when it's a little cooler out.

Visiting GG

We had a boring Friday. I went over to my Grandma's with Katie to visit everyone, because we had nothing else to do. Katie was playing with David and Blake, and then later Mary came over. Katie likes visiting her family, she loves all the attention, haha. She was playing with David's toys and eating yum yums all day. It was fun and relaxing. Then on the way home I had to stop by the store to get milk for Katie. There was a fruit roll up laying in the aisle where we pay, so Katie snatched it up and I bought it for her. She loved it. She's never had one before. After that I stopped by Burger King to grab food for David and I real quick, and I think Katie knows food comes out of those drive thru windows, because she started whining til I gave her a fry, lol. She's so funny.

Pelona Vista

Katie, David, my Mom, Ashley, Mary, and I went walking at Pelona Vista Park a couple days ago. It was relaxing. We went around the big field twice and the little field once. Katie brought her stroller and Drowsy and was pushing her around a lot, and David brought his bike. We also brought Katie's car, so she could sit and relax when she wanted to. While my Mom was pushing the pink car around (empty since Katie was pushing her stroller), a little boy walked right in front of my Mom until she stopped and he decided to climb into the car lol. His Dad got embarrassed and got him real quick, but it was funny, haha. Those cars are fun :p We saw some dogs there too, and their owner let Katie play with them, she loves dogs so much. David ended up stealing Katie's stroller and baby and ran off with it, teasing her lol. Kids are trouble :p It was nice to get out though. We walked about 2-3 miles, but it took us a long time to do it! Mary, Ashley, and I stepped in a puddle of water (Mary got it the worst), and Mary tried to get my Mom to, too lol. My Mom overheard though and stayed on the dirt track. Funny night. I'm glad I went. (Again, sorry for the cruddy pic :/ My camera has been out of batteries so all I've had to use is my phone and it doesn't take good pics. I got batteries for Seaworld tomorrow though! Thanks Mom, I stole some of yours LOL)

Katie's Sophisticated Now

Today Desiree, Dave Dave, and I took Katie to Claire's in the mall to get her ears pierced. I had to sign the consent form and everything before we could get started. Desiree recorded it all for me :) They wouldn't let me use the Elmo earrings my Mom bought for Katie, so I had to buy some they had there. Something about being pre-packed to go in the gun and being "starter" earrings that are sharp enough to pierce. I picked white flowers so they would match every outfit I put on her in the next 8 weeks since I can't take them out for that long. I think they look very pretty on her. We gave her Motrin before she got there so that she could have it in her system to help ease the pain. She cried for about 2 minutes after, and then she was back to her normal happy self :) I love that she is such a happy baby. She is always smiling (unless she's tired!) On the way home we stopped by McDonald's and got some food. Katie ate some of her hamburger meat and some of my fries, and David got a Kid's Meal. It was a nice time. I'm glad she didn't cry too long.

Visiting

Katie and I were bored the other day so we went around to visit family. We tried Mary's house first, but no one was home so we went over to GG's house. Apparently I had just missed Mary by 2 minutes :/ We hung out with Desiree, Blake, and David for a while then GG and Joe came home from lunch with Joe's family. We left a little after that because it was kind of boring...lol. We went over to Mary's house and Katie played with her for about an hour. They read books, played in the car outside, and on a teeter totter. Katie had fun :) We ended the trip by going to AM/PM with Mary and getting a cup of crushed ice, yum! I like boring relaxing days. Thanks for hanging out with us Mary :p (Sorry if the pictures aren't the best, I took them on my sidekick :/ )

"More"

I wish I had a picture! Today Katie came up to me and handed me her bottle, and signed "more" to me. It was the cutest thing, of course I went and got her some juice :) She's growing so much, I can't believe how fast it goes by. She's such a beautiful little toddler :p I need to start teaching her more words now that I know she understands :)

Lazy Day

My cousin Desiree took Katie on her first trip without her Mommy & Daddy there with her. They went to Disneyland together, with Desiree's friend Turquois and her daughter Savannah. Savannah's birthday is next week and Desiree wanted to treat her while she's out here in California. (She lives in Texas) Desiree said Katie is being very good and is having fun. They went to eat breakfast with the characters and are going to have dinner with Ariel and the princesses at California Adventure. I hope she takes lot of pictures.

I miss Katie, but it sure is relaxing without her for a whole day! I slept in, cleaned the house, did the dishes, baked chocolate chip muffins and pumpkin bread, and now I have the time to blog :p Hopefully David and I can go to the movies tonight or something too. It's nice having a day to ourselves :)

I'll post more pictures of Disneyland as soon as Desiree sends them :) For now, I have these that she has sent me so far today on the sidekick :)

Desiree's Birthday

Desiree's birthday was on the 8th. She's going to San Fransisco in October to celebrate. We did cake for her on the 9th though. I felt bad she didn't get a birthday cake (They couldn't find one at the store the day before they said, but the truth is, Dave Dave drove them nuts the whole time so they just went home lol) My Grandma and I were going to go halves on a Cold Stone cake, but Mary ended up helping instead. She went with me and we picked out a cookie dough ice cream cake that was delicious :) The men that wrote "Happy Birthday" on the cake, asked us 3 times how to spell her name, and in the end it still came out wrong lol. Boys are funny. They did make it pretty with sprinkles though. That was a nice little touch :) We got back to Grams and surprised Desiree with the cake when she got home from class. Katie liked it the most I think. She started yelling and crying when her piece was all gone haha. She's so silly, makes me smile.

A Tired Baby In Wal-Mart

A couple of days ago when David and I wanted to go grocery shopping, Katie was tired. When we got there, we put her in the front seat of the cart and her head started bobbing back, eyes closing. That is obviously not a cozy position, so David and I had an idea. We went to the bedding section, grabbed a blanket and a pillow, and made her a small little bed in the cart haha. David pushed the cart with Katie, while I pushed a cart with our groceries :p

Ashley's Birthday :)

My cousin Ashley's birthday was on the 2nd, but since work and school started, we took her out to eat today. She picked the Olive Garden so my Mom, David, Katie, and I took her out to eat. Debbie also joined us :) It was a nice time. Katie was a little fussy because of her teeth, but it was still okay...lol. When it was almost time to leave they brought out a cake for Ashley and sang their little song they do. We all had a slice, it was yummy! My Mom and I pitched in and bought her a mall gift card too. After we finished eating David, Katie, and I went shopping in the mall and saw Ash there spending her gift card. She's cute :) I hope you liked your present, food, and cake Ash. I'm glad we got to spend time with you. You'll always be the sweetest girl I know! :) Happy Birthday!

The Poses I Didn't Buy...

I wish I had enough money to have been able to buy all the poses of Katie in her Hawaiian dress. She came out so cute in every one! All I ended up buying was the 8x10 for Katie's Grandma, and a sheet of wallets of the black background picture, because it was too cute! :)

Grandma Lynn's Visit

Wednesday we picked up David's Mom from the airport after I got off work. She came down for a 4 day visit from Florida. When we got back to Palmdale she took us, and her other son Steve, to Red Lobster for dinner. It was yummy. Katie of course took everyone else's food, although she hasn't had much of an apetite lately, because she's teething :/ But for some reason, she always has room for the yummy stuff! haha. Thank you for treating us Lynn! Also on Friday she cooked Fetticini for David, because he has been asking for it, and of course Mom always makes it best! When David got home we went over there and hung out and had dinner. It was nice :)

Yesterday we went over there again, this time for her birthday dinner. Everyone came over this time. Jennifer made tacos and burritoes for everyone, and Bobby brought a cake home for her. The 3 kids played together, it was a fun night. Lynn brought surprises for each of the kids. Katie and Travis got animal crackers, and Karli got a princess necklace, Jacks, and an Ariel Pez candy. That was nice of her :) Katie carried her box all over the house chomping away. Lynn taught Karli how to play Jacks, and they played for about a half hour while the food was cooking. Then Travis decided he wanted the Jacks too, and carried some around in his train all night. Kids are so funny. I wonder what they're thinking :p She got a lot of nice presents. David and I got her stuff from her wish list, a framed picture of Katie in the Hawaiian dress Lynn gave her for Christmas and a Nicholas Sparks book. She also got 3 more books, a gift card for Linens & Things, a framed picture of all her sons that they took on their Uncle's 80th Birthday. She also got a few matching black frames. I think the highlight of the night was when a moth flew in and everyone freaked out haha. David's brother Peech let it back outside, only to have it stick to Jennifer's clothes without her knowing it, bringing it back inside, and into David's Dad's bathroom with her and Karin in it. LOL. They ran out and made David go in and get it. So funny. Lynn also gave me a replica of a Wal-Mart cart, but Katie's size. Katie likes it so much! She started pushing it around outside while we were saying bye to everyone going up and down the street. Then David put her in the cart and pushed her fast all over the street. She liked it a lot but I couldn't get a good picture of her smiling, because she would get mad whenever David stopped long enough for me to try to get one lol. I'm glad she got a new toy she likes. Now I have to take her outside sometimes so she has room to push it around :p I hope Lynn had a nice birthday :)
