Sunday

This Sunday was pretty laidback for me. David and I hung out at our apartment with Katie til about 2:30 pm, then he went to the movies with his brother Steve. Katie and I got ready for the day and headed off to my Mom's house to fill up her pool. Katie liked standing outside the pool and dipping her hands in, splashing around. We left without getting in it, to my Grandma's house. Mary and Desiree were the only ones there, and we hung out with them for about an hour and then went back to my Mom's. She was home from work now, and we put Katie in the pool. She kept smiling and laughing, but wouldn't sit down in it. She's funny. She kept squatting down real quick and then coming back up, and once she accidently fell on her little butt in the pool and she looked so surprised and hopped back up to continue to stand in it and splash with her hands. After she played in the pool, my Mom made her some blueberry pancakes that she chowed down on, and some carrot juice...yum :/ lol.

After Katie ate, we went with her Dad to his brother Peech's house. His Dad, 2 brothers, and niece and nephew were there. Katie played in the hammock with her cousin Karli for a while. That's all she did the whole time she was over there, layed in the hammock, lol. She liked it and thought she was the coolest in it. It was cute :) An hour later we went home and Katie played for a little bit and then knocked out since she hadn't napped all day. She was TIRED. After she went to sleep David and I hung out in the living room and watched Waiting since it was on t.v. It was a boring, relaxing, nice day. Hopefully now that it's getting warmer outside, Katie will be able to enjoy her pool a lot more. It also has a slide with it, so she can slide into the pool, but we haven't put it in yet. I don't want her to accidently roll down it or something if it's wet and slippery lol. Soon though I guess. We also have Season Passes to our small local water park, so we'll be going there during the summer too, since I don't work during the summer thanks to the school district schedule :) I'll be able to spend the whole 3 months with her. I can't wait!
Also, if you enlarge the pic of her in the pool, you can see another tooth popping through on the bottom. Teething sucks!

Aquarium

Saturday David, Katie, and I went to the Aquarium of the Pacific in Long Beach. It took an hour and a half to get there, and by the time we got there, I realized her stroller was still at my Mom's from our trip to Disneyland :/ Since it was "my fault" we didn't have the stroller, David made me carry Katie the entire time. After the hour and a half we were there, my arm just about fell off it hurt so bad from her 20 lbs of weight lol. Next time, I'll double check for the stroller I guess! Anyway, I was kind of bummed by the aquarium and felt like I wasted my time and money :/ Katie didn't care for any of the fish or the seals or anything, except for pulling at my necklace the whole time. I wasn't even impressed. Now I know for next time I guess. That's the best picture I got too :/ Since I was holding her the whole time, I wasn't really able to take too many, and the few I did take she either wasn't looking or she blinked. After we got back to Palmdale we ended the day with dinner at Red Robin and we bought the movie 21 from a man in our apartments and watched that before going to bed. The rest of the day after the aquarium was nice and relaxing. I just really regret going there! lol.

My Silly Goose

I caught her playing under the chair the other day and it made me laugh. Who knows what she was doing under there...lol.
Also, yesterday she started using her Elmo toy as a walker...that made me laugh too! I can't believe she was able to push it across the carpet, it doesn't have wheels. It's one of those toys you lay under and play with. She's so silly.

Disneyland

Yesterday Mary, Ashleigh, Hannah, Anthony, Blake, my Mom, Katie, and I went to Disneyland for Hannah's birthday. It was a lot of fun! I had to get up at 5:30am which was not fun, but I did it! lol. We left and got there just in time to head over to our breakfast reservation. We ate at the Plaza Inn with Minnie and friends. We got to take pictures with Chip or Dale (lol), Pooh Bear, Eeyore, Cinderella's Fairy Godmother, and Minnie Mouse. The food was so yummy. Katie loved the watermelon and sucked on it almost the whole time we were eating. She also had a few bites of French Toast and some Fruit Loops. She loved eating all the yummy food. After we ate we started going on rides. Katie was scared of Pinocchio, Snow White, and the Haunted Mansion, because they're pretty dark with loud scary noises for most of the ride. She practically crawled on top of my head trying to find a "safe place" lol. It was cute. After a few rides, the kids fell asleep so Blake, Ashleigh, Anthony, and I went on Indiana Jones while my Mom and Mary watched Katie and Hannah. I haven't been on one of the faster rides at Disneyland since before I was pregnant. It was a fun day. We went on rides, went to Toontown and took a bunch of pictures, then we went to Downtown Disney to have dinner. We ate at the House of Blues, and they sat us outside with two babies when it was COLD. Kind of annoyed me, but we stayed and ate. After dinner we went to Build-A-Bear and Ashleigh and Anthony made Hannah a Disney bear. It's cute :) When we finished there, we went back to Disneyland and got in line for Nemo. That was our last ride of the night. It was not worth a 5 minute wait to me, pretty boring ride. Oh well, now I know for next time not to go on it. The kids were already asleep 5 minutes after we put them in their strollers. We walked down Main Street and stopped at a candy store so Anthony and Ashleigh could buy Hannah a couple lollipops, then Anthony bought his Mom a license plate holder thing for her car, and we walked to the tram. It took a long time to get from Nemo to our car! lol. Mary's car was below empty so we headed for a gas station. I got crushed ice while we were there, yum :) I knocked out a few minutes later and woke up when we were almost home. Long, fun day! The kids were sooo tired, but they had a lot of fun! Katie smiled pretty much the whole day! I'm so glad she had fun. I just liked taking cute pictures of her :) I wanted to get her a Mickey hat, but I had her hair so cute, and I didn't think she'd keep it on for long so I decided to wait until next time. Within the next 30 days we're going to California Adventure too, with our Twofers :) I'm excited. I hope Katie has just as much fun there.

I took probably over 200 pictures! Here are some from my Mom's memory card, I haven't uploaded mine yet. The first picture is the one they take at the front gate, Mary bought it.

Hannah's 1st Birthday

Today we had Hannah's birthday party, a day early, because tomorrow we are all going to Disneyland. Her party was at my Grandma's house. We all just hung around and talked in the kitchen since CNN is always on in the living room, loud...lol. We ate pizza, had cake, and Hannah opened her presents. She got a lot of cute stuff. She got her own cake, and she loved it! It was so cute watching her eat it. We all took a lot of pictures :)

Here are a few:

Poppy Festival

Yesterday my Mom and I took Katie to the Poppy Festival in Lancaster. It was only in town for the weekend, and I wanted to go. I love just looking around and being bored. I'm waiting for the Strawberry Festival to start too :) On the way there, my Mom put Katie in a big girl carseat for the first time. She is now tall enough to be in one, and I'm going to buy her a pink one on Friday. Yesterday, my Mom used the one she has for work though. Katie loved facing forward. She thought she was the coolest. It was cute :)

When we got there, we took her out and put her in her stoller and started walking over. There wasn't anything to do there except walk around and look at everything, but it was still a nice time. It was relaxing. I wanted to get snackies while we walked, but nothing looked like I had to have it lol. I was going to get lunch since I hadn't eaten yet, but was too cheap to spend $8 on a hamburger and fries, no drink :/ My Mom got a roasted corn on the cob that she always gets at Knott's Berry Farm though. Katie slept most of the day, so I didn't really get any pictures. I did get one before she knocked out, but that's it :/
It was fun there though. I saw a 3 foot Guinea Pig that looked pretty nasty, tried a fried twinkie which tasted the same to me, just doubled the calories I guess. They had rides and stuff for the kids there too, but Katie was too little to go on any. Bummer. The Antelope Valley Fair will be coming up in August, and hopefully she'll have fun there. They had pony rides and stuff, and hopefully there will be at least one ride she can go on.

Woohoo!

This is the best picture I could take before she sat down, but my daughter is standing up!!! All by herself! I can't tell you how excited I am. She has been doing this for the past couple of days. She will let go of whatever she's holding onto. Whether it's the table, the couch, or my leg, she lets go for a few seconds, and then grabs back on when she feels like she will fall. I LOVE IT! I stood her up for the picture though. I've been doing it lately, I stand or sit in front of her and let go of her hand, and she will stand there for a few seconds (her record is 11 seconds lol) before she plops down to sit. She's so cute! I can't wait until she starts walking! She took 3 teeny tiny steps today, but it was more of a stumble than steps. I mean, she didn't mean to walk, she was just trying to grab onto me before she fell lol. It still excited me though :) I can't wait until she makes her real first steps! I'm anxious and waiting!

Baby-sitting David

I think this was taken on Tuesday, when I went to go visit my cousin Anthony because I was so bored I was looking for someone to hang out with for a while lol. We hung out in his room for a little while, and then my cousins Blake and Lauryn went with me to take Katie for a walk in her car car. After we went around the block, my Aunt Mary came home with Dave Dave. She had to go back to work, and David's Mom was at the dentist, so Anthony and I had to watch him. We were hungry and loaded the kids up to go eat at Dragon Express. It was....an interesting trip to say the least lol. Yikes!
I watched David again the other day, when Desiree was at school and my Grandma had to take her brother home from the hospital. They each had a mini popsicle before they played lol. They're cute together. After they ate their snackie, they went to go play. David read me a book, they played with the alphabet magnets on the fridge, and then David watched SpongeBob and played with some magnets on my Grandma's bed. Katie was crawling all around the room trying to get his letters lol. It was a relaxing boring day! lol. After work David's Mom came home and took him with her to get a car wash and I took Katie to the backyard to swing for a while. My Grandma came home a little after that, and my cousin Anthony dropped by too. David gave Katie a half of his Oreo cookie, and then 5 seconds later he decided he wanted it back. So my Grandma gave her another one, and she chomped that sucker up! lol. It was messy! But Katie liked her snack :) (And no, she doesn't eat like this everyday! She hardly ever gets sweets.) I stayed hanging out with everyone until my Mom got home, then I went over to her house :) It was such a boring day, but it was relaxing too, and Katie had fun playing with everyone. She had a lot of visitors throughout the day to play with, and she smiled at each new person that came through the door :) It was so cute.

Of all the toys...

Of all the toys my cute little daughter has to play with during her bath time, she'd rather play with the soap bottle :/ Why do I bother spending my money on her toys? lol. She had all her bath letters in there, a few blocks, and a couple other toys, and yet, here she is, holding up her soap bottle like it's a fun prize...lol. She cracks me up, I love her SOOO much! :)

Seal Beach

Today we took another family trip. David and I took Katie to the beach for her first time! I think we were more excited than she was. We were telling her all week, "you're gonna go to the beach on Sunday." It was an hour and 15 minute drive, both ways. Katie slept the entire time. The weather was good beach weather. It was pretty hot out, but also cold breezes. We had a nice time. When we first got there, my Mom was just leaving to pick up some clients to take home (she takes kids to visit their real parents), so she let us have her parking spot. That was good, because the parking lot was packed, and we couldn't find any spots on the street either. We got changed in the bathroom, and then we took her to the ocean. She did NOT like the water! haha. I think it just may have been too cold for her, because I know it was too cold for me. I didn't get wet past my knees haha. Katie was so cute though. I dressed her in a cute summer outfit that her Aunts Mary and Desiree bought her for. And she was finally able to wear the bathing suit Desiree bought her for Christmas. Katie looked so cute in it :) After about 30 minutes of hoping she'd get used to the water we gave up. We took another trip to the bathroom to get changed back into our normal clothes. I didn't want to walk around in my bathing suit all day, I'm kind of shy! lol. After we changed we walked back to the car to get rid of the wet clothes and to get her stroller. We went to eat on the pier at a restraunt called Ruby's Diner. I've been there before, but I think this was David's first time to Seal Beach. David liked the food a lot. I told him we'll have to try a new restraunt every time we go, because they all looked so good to us! Yes, I plan to keep going, whether Katie likes the water or not. We can at least walk around and play in the sand, enjoying the day. After we ate we walked along the shops and I found 2 cute frames that were on sale. David picked out one to put a picture of him and Katie in, and I got one for a picture of me and Katie. I can't wait to develop my pictures :) All in all the day was fun! I can't wait to go again. I love spending time with my new family. I love my WHOLE family of course! But it's always nice to go just David, Katie, and me :) Here are some pics. Bare with me if I post too many, I'm just excited about her first trip to the beach.

Happy 10 Months Katie!

My baby girl is 10 months today. Time is flying by! I can't believe how old she is getting. And more beautiful everyday. I love her SO much, and I can't believe how amazing she is. I love watching her learn everyday, and I love watching her grow. She's so special to me. Before I know it she'll be walking all over the house. I can't to see all the new things she's going to do and see. She's growing into such a beautiful toddler <3

Happy 10 months Katie! Mommy and Daddy love you to pieces!

Getty Center

Yesterday David, Katie, and I went to the Getty Center/Museum, whatever it is lol. I had to go somewhere for school, and this was close enough. I was very bored most of the time, but I did like taking pictures :) Also a requirement by the way lol. She wanted proof that I really went. Katie was a very good girl! She slept the whole way there and back, I was so glad! We took the tram up to the buildings, and then started taking a couple pictures, looked around for maybe an hour and went home. I wasn't too impressed, the pictures were ugly to me, and I guess I just am not the type that likes looking at museums, unless they're the fun ones that are for kids haha. Those ones I like :) But anyway, here are a few pictures from our trip.
