David & Sam's Birthday

Desiree decided to celebrate David and Sam's birthdays together at my Grandma's house while they were down visiting for the holidays so the family could attend.

The kids had a fun night playing together. They don't all get to hang out very much now that the boys live in New Mexico. Glad they came down to visit!

The Chill At Queen Mary

The day after Christmas, my family went to the Queen Mary. They're doing a special winter thing, where you can go sledding, ice skating and look at carved ice. Seemed pretty cool.

It was so cold inside this room, they gave everyone snow jackets to wear. Everything was carved out of ice, and some of it was even colored. It was pretty neat.

You could even slide down the ice version of the Queen Mary.

I bought this yummy dessert for my Mom, but then she just gave it to the kids to share =/
 Katie sure liked it!
The sleds were fun. We didn't know everything was sold separately. We thought we would be able to do everything, but turns out we only paid to go inside the ice room. We had to pay extra for the kids to go sledding, and we didn't even bother with the ice skating, because that would have been even more money. The kids really enjoyed the sleds though, they went on and on, using all their turns up. (They were given wristbands that let them go on a certain number of times)

It was pretty fun there, I just wish it wasn't so expensive to do the activities offered. The kids had a great time though, and that's what matters!

A Wonser Christmas

We went to Christy's for Christmas and exchanged presents with everyone. In David's family, everyone always gets a gift for each of the kids, and then the adults do a secret santa and buy 1 person something. David bought Travis a gun, big surprise ;p

Everyone pitched in and bought Grandpa a new flat screen TV.

Merry Christmas everyone!

Santa Came!

Santa came! And he made Katie's playroom so nice! He CLEANED it! It must have taken that poor man hours to get this all done. He brought her new benches with storage boxes for her toys.
A new desk was brought for her too. Santa very nicely plugged up her iPad to charge for her on top of it.

She was so excited to open her presents. Katie is such a sweet girl. I love her. I wish I could buy her every single thing she wants.
Katie picked this Halo lego set out for David, and she was so excited to watch him open it.
 David bought this for Katie.
She kept asking me for a Cake Pop kit!

David's really anxious to get out there and teach Katie how to shoot with her new bb gun. He's hoping she likes it.
David was happy to open his new mini fridge, to go in the garage with his pool table I bought him =) I love that man. I'm glad he liked the presents I got him. I wish I could have gotten him so much more, I like to see him happy =)
We had a nice family Christmas morning =)

The Boat Dud

My Mom bought us tickets for a Christmas Eve boat ride. We were supposed to see houses all lit up for Christmas and have hot cocoa  and cookies and a fun holiday night. That's not exactly how it all went though. When we got there, we were in good spirits. We walked around taking photos and I even bought a magnet from one of the stores, to remember our trip.

This is the boat we were going on .Katie, of course, wanted to sit upstairs. Way more fun up there.
David got Reindeer milk, specially spiked.
Katie got hot cocoa, extra marshmallows. The snacks were free, so that was cool. Except for David's obviously.
Sadly, this was probably the most decorated house we saw. At least half of the houses didn't bother to decorate, if they did, they put one or two decorations up. A few strings of lights. It wasn't at all what I expected.
We tried to make the most of it, but even before the ride was over, we all decided we wouldn't come back next year, haha.

The only cool thing about the trip, was this light up Santa and his reindeer that flew over us, on his way to deliver presents to all the girls and boys. Katie was so excited, but I think my Mom was most excited, to see her trip wasn't a complete waste. Haha.
Before we went to bed that night, Katie set her Tinkerbell table out by the tree and gave Santa milk and cookies. But, she didn't think regular milk was good enough for him, so she added some chocolate for him. She's a nice girl. I just love her so much!!
