Blake is home from the Army, and we all got together to visit him at my Grandma's house. Precious moments with family.

Grandma Lynn's Birthday

We all got together at Jennifer's place to celebrate David's Mom's birthday. The cousins played together and had a great time. Grandma Lynn gave my baby boy a new toy, because it was a train. But Emma said wait, girls like trains too. So she'll just keep it company until he's old enough to use it, lol. It winds up and moves on its own, she loved it.

T-Swift!

Taylor Swift will always be my favorite. Thankfully my cousin loves her too, and goes to the concerts with me. I think I've been to all of her concerts but one, and I regret it totally! She puts on the best shows. Her bracelets that light up to the beat of her songs are awesome when you're looking out at the audience seeing them all light up together. Fun little addition! Thank you for all the fun times Lauryn. Love you forever.

The AV Fair

An annual trip we always do! The AV fair. Thankful for the $1 tickets my husband always gets for us. The older kids all got wristbands and had a great time together. Emma was too short to do much so I bought her a pony ride and she hung out in the kid area a bit too, without rides. She always has a good spirit about everything. The older kids wristbands gave them two free games and they each got a prize. I always let them pick out a treat before we leave too. Mine usually end up picking out ice cream. Even shivering, they'll eat it. That's devotion.

Birthday Dinner

Invited the family over to celebrate my birthday. Thankful for my Mom for cooking tacos, my favorite, for dinner and for making my favorite cake. Thank you to everyone for coming as well! Always fun with family! I got so busy talking I barely have any photos this time!

Lunch With Dad

We hooked up with Dad on his lunch break today near his work. I haven't been to Katz N Jammers since I was in driving school as a teenager. It was fun to eat there with the kids. Cute little place. Grateful for days like this with my little family. There's nothing like the laid back summer time feeling, in my opinion. Doing whatever you want each day, being lazy, going out and having fun, just living together and spending all our time together.

Free Slushies

Took the girls out to use one of the free slushie coupons David got from his work. Just little summer things to do together.

Camp Successfully Over

Time to go home! It was fun, the kids liked it. We had a free pancake breakfast before we left, I guess they do that every Sunday morning. And now in two weeks, Katie goes back to school! Summer time is almost over. The relaxing and fun times off will be missed, but the summer heat will not! Grateful for the family time!

Camping Continued

Well, our second day here at the KOA. It seems really fun. They have activities for the kids each day it seems. A pool. A little store and pizza place if we need anything. But let me tell you about the bugs!! No, not roaming around eating us. In the bathroom! YUCK! I guess they come out at night, when they're attracted to the lights inside. I went to wash my face before bed and man. They were all over the counter where the sinks are. It's like the counter is marbled with them, it is grody. They were gone in the morning though, so they must have cleaned in there. I am so thankful my Mom filled up an air mattress for me to sleep on. After that horrible sleep at the Jethawks from being pregnant, this mattress was sweet relief, even if I did have to share it with 2 kids.

Emma is always willing and ready to pose when my Mom wants to stop on the side of the road for a nature shot. She's a good sport.
For our first full day at camp, my Mom wanted to go to the river. My kids tried, they really did. But, we're just not as into nature as she is. So, they put their feet in, and played in the shallow water. My Grandma sure dove in good though. It was a good time together hanging out, but we didn't really get too wet.

After the river, we hung out at camp, playing games and went for a swim. They liked the pool a lot better than the river water!

The kids played water balloon games the camp did.
We got dinner ready together. The KOA had a communal kitchen area that we were able to use. Pretty neat. We just had to bring our own pots and pans and things. And of course s'mores for dessert! The ultimate camping dessert!

My Mom brought these weird popcorn things that pop over the fire. Kinda cool.

Thanks for reading my blog!
