Grandma's Spooky House

My Mom went to the Dollar Tree and picked up some Halloween decorations so she and Katie could decorate her house a little and get in the spirit of the holiday. Katie had a lot of fun putting stickers on the window and adding spider webs to the fireplace.

Katie's Crafts

I love Katie's crafts she brings home from school. She's always so excited to show me what's in her backpack everyday. She's proud of her work, and she knows I'll tell her how good she did :p Right now they're working on their name.

Bye Daddy, We'll Miss You!

I hate hate hate saying goodbye to this man. It never seems to get easier. Katie and I had to say goodbye to him again this morning, sending him off to his new state, Washington. The only thing making me feel better, is knowing that in less than a year the Army will be done with! The bad side, that will probably be the next time we see him =(

Chinese Chicken Salad Dinner

David's Mom made Chinese Chicken Salad for him for dinner, and let Katie watch the noodle things grow.
Mommy took pictures while we waited for the food to cook.
 Love these two!
This is the only salad I'll eat, haha. Does not taste like salad to me at all! I guess it's whatever dressing she uses, tastes sweet.

Park Time With Daddy

David and I took Katie to the park to have some fun for the afternoon. The "dog park" is the newest park in Palmdale, and coincidentally, also the cleanest/nicest. It's a bit of a drive, but worth it.

Excited For School

I hope Katie is always excited to go to school, and always keeps her good attitude. She's a great kid. Every day I look at her, and I'm just so happy she's mine.

Hanging Out With Family

We braved the weather and went to visit David's family. Just kidding, the snow didn't last that long. It was perfectly clear and safe to drive after about, 20 minutes, maybe less.
Katie and David were watching tv together. I love seeing them spend time together. Katie sure got comfy.

Snow In California Is A Big Deal

Southern California does not get snow very often. Once or twice a year we might get a tiny bit during the winter months, usually between December and March. Lets just say, that the very few times it does snow, it's a big deal. People take pictures, post about it online, call each other on the phone to say "it's snowing! Look outside!" The whole ordeal. Haha. So of course I grabbed my camera when I looked outside and saw the weather ;p

Daddy's Here Before His Move!

My pretty girl posing for me before school.
I love her poses. She is so stinkin' cute.
Waiting for the doors to open at school.

Guess who's back in town visiting?! So glad David gets to see Katie off to school for a few days. He's home for a little over a week, before he moves from South Korea to Washington state. Finally, he's in the same time zone as me! This has been a hard 2 years with the 16 hour time difference. One more year and he'll be home with us for good, I'm SO excited!
And of course David wanted to go get Thai food for dinner!

Katie's 1st Day of School

My Mom made Katie a sign that I'm supposed to keep forever and ever so that every year Katie can take this same picture, but a year older each time. She also came over and helped me do Katie's hair  for her first day of school so she would look so super cute. I'm not that talented at doing hair, mine always looks the same :p

Katie goes to school in the mornings and is off by lunch time. They have circle time, art time, a small snack, and play time.

Her playground.
Every morning when we get to school, we need to wait in line. Each kid goes in one at a time, the parent signs them in and leaves, and then it's the next kid's turn. Same thing when we pick up. Only one parent is allowed in the room at a time to sign their kid out. It can take up to 10 mins to wait to be able to pick your kid up. Crazy. But I guess it's safe for them.
I cannot believe that Katie is now in preschool. My big 4 year old girl. I am so proud of her. She's already so smart, I know she will do great in school. I'm going to be so lonely in the mornings now. My Mom bought me a gym membership, so I'll be heading over there everyday after dropping Katie off at school. Then I'll pick her up after and get to spend the rest of the afternoon with her =)

Katie's Preschool Shoes

My Mom bought Katie a few new pairs of shoes for her first day of school. They are so cute, I can't wait to see her in them =)

First Day of Preschool Dress

Since we all know I only know how to make one type of dress....guess what Katie's going to wear for her first day of preschool? lol. We found a cute preschool fabric. She's going to look so cute on her first day of school. I can't believe she's starting school soon! She's growing up so much, I am so proud of her.

Breakfast for Dinner

My Aunt Becky bought me a Mickey Waffle Maker for my birthday this year, so Katie and I made a special dinner tonight and ate Mickey up! They were so delicious! Sometimes you need some yummy breakfast foods for dinner. It makes the heart happy.

My 2nd Attempt

Katie and I went back to Wal-Mart to pick out some more fabric, to see if I could make the pillowcase dress on my own. The good news is, I can! The bad news is, this is the only dress type I know how to make, so I have to just keep doing the same pattern. I'm not sure I'd know how to read a new pattern without any help!

Thanks for reading my blog!
