Zoey's 1st Birthday!

Zoey's first birthday was at her house, for friends and family. She was given lots of presents and lots of people came to see her.
Her parents rented a bouncy for all the kids who came.
Even some of the older kids played on it.
 Zoey's first cake!
 Tasting the frosting.
I think she liked it! She liked the frosting a lot more than the bread part, haha.
After she had her cupcake, she opened her presents.
She was getting pretty tired though. I think it was past her nap time.
She was being a trooper though, and was able to stay awake to play with her new toys =)

I hope she enjoyed her first birthday! The kids seemed to have lots of fun =) She's growing so quickly! Pretty soon my new baby will be here for her to play with =) I love kids so much. They're so innocent and fun.

Kindergarten Student of the Month

Katie was sent home with an envelope with a bumper sticker that says "My Child Was Student of the Month at Desert Christian Elementary" and a paper that told me the date and time of the assembly. David, my Mom and I went to support Katie. She was able to sit with us during chapel =)
She was given her award for her enthusiasm, haha. I love her. Even if she is wild ;p
Katie and her teacher, Miss Ferguson.

I am so proud of this beautiful girl. I love her so much, she's amazing.

Decades Day

Originally for Decades Day, I had a Poodle Skirt in mind, I even ordered one for Katie. But then when it came in the mail...it was much too long, so I had to go a different route, quick! I went to Target, and thank goodness neon is in style again right now, haha. Katie was an 80's girl. I think. I tried. lol.

Kindergarten Open House

Katie's Kindergarten Open House was tonight, so I came over as soon as I got off work. My Mom met me there. Outside the school, a club was selling snacks, so I bought one for Katie.
She played on the playground while we waited for the classroom to open.
She was excited to show me the things she made =)
She drew the baby in my belly, haha. And Grandma. She loves her.

The teacher had some snacks set out for all the visitors =)
After we saw everything in her classroom, we went to the Book Fair and got Katie a few things, as well as one of the books on her teacher's wish list to donate to the class. Katie was very tired by the end of the night. She wanted to go give the book to her teacher, but it was already so late, and she has school tomorrow, so I told her to wait until tomorrow morning, and she broke down in tears. Poor girl. Hopefully she gets a good nights rest tonight. Tomorrow she is getting an award at Chapel. Student of the Month! =)

Disney Day

Disney Day was here, and Katie wore her Tinkerbell twirl dress. She decided she was not going to let me take her picture this morning, so I had to sneak one. Bratty Brat.

Wacky Wednesday

For Wacky Wednesday, Katie sure did a good job. I found this headband at the Dollar Tree, and Katie picked the outfit herself. She wore 2 different shoes, a pants that she thought didn't match very well. It was hard to get her to leave the house, she got embarrassed after she got dressed. I finally got her out the door, and when we got to her class, and everyone was telling her how much they liked her hair and outfit, she felt a lot better and started laughing with her friends at everyone's outfits.

Soldiers For Christ Day

The kids were all supposed to wear Camo for Soliders for Christ Day. Katie and I went shopping and bought this shirt for her. It came with an owl necklace for some reason, so she wanted to wear that too.

Sports Day

Katie's school has a dress down week this week. Usually it's the week of the Jog-A-Thon, but for some reason they did it the week after this year. Anyway, today was Sport's Day. David and I don't like sports (thankfully!) so Katie just wore a dance shirt. Our family doesn't have a "team" or anything, lol.

Poppy Festival, 2013

David and I took Katie to the Poppy Festival. I know it's expensive and a lot of people think it's lame, but I love taking Katie every year. I always buy her a snack and let her go on some rides.
This year's snack was a candy apple covered in sprinkles.

Katie loves these fun houses so much! She always wants to go in them, she will even chose them over rides!

She played on the playground for a bit while David and I drank some water. It was hot out! I bought Katie a water too, don't worry :p
There are lots of little booths there, selling things. David bought bones for his dogs and some pickled garlic that he loved. Katie bought a bow and arrow and a bubble gun. I bought a few little stakes for the yard.
The ice cream man was set up outside the Poppy Festival. Smart man. lol.
 Nap time! :p

Kindergarten Jog-A-Thon

It's time for the Jog-A-Thon again! My boss, Miss Laura, let me go watch Katie at her school this morning. I made sure to pack her an ice cold water bottle to take. The only problem? She drank most of it before the jog even began, lol. Oh well.
They did a short assembly before the job. The Cheer Bears did a show, the wrestling team, and some dancers.
The kids were supposed to do 25 laps each. Just a small rectangle on their field for the Kindergarteners.

Someone pushed Katie and made her fall after 2 laps. After that, her heart just wasn't in it anymore, and she walked sadly the rest of the time. Poor girl.
She barely picked her speed back up for the last 2 laps, to finish with a bang, lol.
My Mom cheated for her, and marked her more than once each time she came around, because she was walking so slowly after being knocked down, and my Mom didn't want her to be the only one left with 10 laps left to go, lol. Oh well, the school still got their money Katie raised for their donations.

Katie showed us how she can do the Monkey Bars after the jog was over. She's getting really good at it =)

Thanks for reading my blog!
