Second Grade Open House

I love Katie's school events, and Open House is a good one. I always come early and we have dinner in the cafeteria before the classroom doors open. The Cheer team is usually selling desserts too, so we always buy a brownie or something for a dollar. Then we go look around Katie's classroom and look at her art on the walls. The girl she drew that looks like her this year, is adorable. We end the night with a trip to the Library where the Book Fair is held. Katie always gets a few books to read. I enjoy it. We had a good time.

First Grade Open House

Katie's Open House was fun. I like going to all her school events =) We waited around the parking lot, until it was time to open the school.

The cafeteria opened before the classrooms, so we went to buy dinner and hang out for a bit with my Mom.
Every year during Open House, the Book Fair is also going on. We went to look around and let Katie pick out a few books. We usually try to buy one book the teacher asked for, for the classroom, too.
Katie gets so excited to donate a book to the teacher's library.
She showed me the work she's been doing in class. Pretty cute stuff.
The little goober keeps getting her birthday wrong lately. She can't seem to understand that her birthday is still June 13, even if we didn't have her party that day. I tried to explain to her, even though her birthday is the 13th, most people work on weekdays, and so we do birthdays on weekends so more people can come celebrate. She hasn't quite gotten it just yet. So since her party was on June 8th last year, now she thinks that's her birth date.

Kindergarten Open House

Katie's Kindergarten Open House was tonight, so I came over as soon as I got off work. My Mom met me there. Outside the school, a club was selling snacks, so I bought one for Katie.
She played on the playground while we waited for the classroom to open.
She was excited to show me the things she made =)
She drew the baby in my belly, haha. And Grandma. She loves her.

The teacher had some snacks set out for all the visitors =)
After we saw everything in her classroom, we went to the Book Fair and got Katie a few things, as well as one of the books on her teacher's wish list to donate to the class. Katie was very tired by the end of the night. She wanted to go give the book to her teacher, but it was already so late, and she has school tomorrow, so I told her to wait until tomorrow morning, and she broke down in tears. Poor girl. Hopefully she gets a good nights rest tonight. Tomorrow she is getting an award at Chapel. Student of the Month! =)

Katie's Preschool Open House

I had to work overtime the night of Katie's Open House, because my class was having their Open House too, but I was able to sneak into Katie's room for a few minutes to look around at the art and pictures she had up. My Mom and Mary came too, so Katie was able to stay with them while I was in my classroom.

She's so precious. She did an awesome job on all her art! Love it!

David's Kindergarten Open House

My Mom, Mary, Katie, Sammy, and I went to David's Open House. It was freezing and they made us wait outside for what seemed like forever! Katie played on the playground while we waited. When we were let inside the classroom, David and his classmates recited a short Green Eggs and Ham poem.
After the poem, we were allowed to walk around and look at their work :)

Thanks for reading my blog!
