DCS Night At Jethawks

Katie's school was selling tickets to the Jethawks for $5, so I figured, why not? We had fun last time we went. I bought 3, so my Mom or David could come with us. David declined, so I invited my Mom. They had a special going, the first 1000 guests received a hat, and Katie and I were given one. My Mom was rushing from work, so she was too late to get one =/ Katie didn't wear hers though, so my Mom took that one. It was a nice night out.

We ate, snacked, and had fun!
My Mom wanted to try this pose...haha. Like the Lion King :p
By the end of the night, we were playing catch with a ball Katie found, that my Mom said was thrown from the field. Not sure if I believe her completely...lol. Katie was having a blast though, and every time they threw the ball, Emma burst into giggles. It was the cutest thing. Love them both so much. Who knew taking 2 girls to a baseball game would be so much fun?

Memorial Day 2014

Katie and I plan on going to Drytown a lot this summer! We don't go for more than an hour or two because of Emma, but we plan to go often! I tried to get Katie on the big slides this year, with me. But, she was a little scared and freaked out so we had to drag the tube back down the stairs. Embarrassing, but maybe she'll try again before summer ends.

Love those girls.

Cherry Picking

I have always wanted to go Cherry Picking. Every year I seem to forget about it and by the time I remember, the time frame for it is over. I was on top of it this year, determined not to miss it! I signed up for the mailing list to get the e-mail, and found out it opened the weekend of Memorial Day. I promised Katie we'd go to Drytown the first day it opened, so I waited til the next day for my cherries. They give you really big buckets to fill, and if you fill it, it's $45. No way was I going to pay $45 for cherries, so we only filled it about a quarter of the way. We paid about $12, and they were soooo yummy. Those were the best cherries. I am definitely going to try to make it back up next year. I don't know how people go when it's even hotter than it was today, yikes. It was crowded since it was opening weekend, but we managed just fine. Emma was getting a little fussy and I had to hold her for a while, but it was still fun and worth it to go.

After cherry picking, my Mom invited us to her house and she tried to make a Cherry Pie recipe she found off Pinterest, but it was more like a cookie with cherry on top, haha. It was not very good, in my opinion, but she also made some with chocolate on top, and those were okay ;)

I have the best kids. So thankful for them, and for their Grandma =)

Mr. Pigg's Barbeque Emporium

Katie has been practicing her songs for this performance, even David and I have caught ourselves singing her favorite song haha. We were told to dress in black and white, no dresses =/ The kids did a great job on their performance. A lot of people couldn't make it, since it was in the morning during work hours, but my Mom, Emma, and I were there for her. I go to as many things as I can. I like that she can look in the audience and see me there smiling at her. I love Katie so much. She's a wonderful girl.

The Firm Foundational Non-Denominational Tabernacle Temple of Glory! Haha, Katie's favorite lyric.

Girl Scouts At Knott's

The Girl Scouts used some of the cookie selling money to buy tickets for Knott's Berry Farm. Only 3 girls were able to make it to this event, but it was still a lot of fun. It was a pretty hot day, but not the worst. We went to look around the smaller rides first, and then hit up the roller coasters that the girls weren't too scared to go on :p My Mom got us to go watch the Mystery Lodge, haha. That thing is so boring to me, but it was nice to sit with Emma for a few minutes in the air conditioned room :p

Our last ride was the train where the robbers come. That ride always scared me, haha. The girls had fun with it though. Good thing they didn't have any money, haha.

I'm thankful we joined the Girl Scouts, it's been fun. I hope we do more fun trips in the future. Hopefully Katie chooses to stay in for a few more years.

I hate dogs, so I'm glad David helped Emma play with it today. She seemed to enjoy herself. Gave her a nice good bath after to get all the gross dog germs off of her lol.

My 8 Month Baby

8 whole months. Wow. I wish time could slow down, but at the same time, I'm so anxious to see who she's becoming. She is so dang adorable and finally starting to crawl. I'm enjoying staying home with her so much. I am so lucky to have 2 beautiful kids.

Hannah's Summer Performance

Ashleigh invited me to watch Hannah's end of the year performance, so Emma and I headed over after taking Katie to school. It was summer/Hawaiian themed and so cute. Hannah did a great job =) Emma might have enjoyed it too, lol. She sat at least :p

We love you Hannah, good job! Wish Katie could have come with us =)

Girl Scout Bowling

The Girl Scouts met at the bowling alley this week, and had their weekly meeting enjoying each other's company and having fun together. I failed and didn't realize everyone would show up in their uniform. Next time, I'll know better ;p Katie had fun, I'm glad we joined this troop. It's nice to meet new friends =)

Mother's Day Breakfast

The next morning, we got up early and went to our breakfast reservations at Goofy's Kitchen. Emma wore her first pony tail, she looked so cute.

They had an all you can eat breakfast buffet and it was yummy. They had waffles, oatmeal, cereal, eggs, omelets, bacon, pancakes, so much stuff. And of course, dessert =) All the while, characters were walking around, coming to each of the tables. Emma didn't care for them much, but Katie was having a great time.

 Jello
Emma enjoyed a gummy worm, haha.
We swam, one more time, before leaving to go back home. It was a nice trip. Katie had an absolute blast, Emma enjoyed being outside and playing all day. Happy Mother's Day Mom. I hope you had a fun trip with us. You do so much for us, I like to be able to do things for you sometimes, too. We love you very much! I'm so thankful everyday, that you're my Mom! =)

Mother's Day 2014

My Mom has always wanted to stay at the Disneyland Hotel. Back when the Neverland pool was there, it probably would have been even better. But better late than never, right? Katie and I saved up for months to have a special Mother's Day. It was supposed to be a surprise, but my Aunt told my Mom. Next year, my lips are sealed. lol. So even though it wasn't a cool surprise, we still had a lot of fun. Katie and I bought a box and stickers months ago and saved up our money in there. Every time Katie cleaned her room and got a dollar, she'd add it to the box. If I happened to have a $5 bill in my pocket, I'd stick it in the box to help Katie out. We had a good $700 by the time Mother's Day came around. I was proud of Katie for doing so well, and not buying toys with her money instead. We didn't buy tickets for Disneyland, because Katie wanted to swim and stuff at the hotel, and we wouldn't have time to do everything.

When we got there, Katie was in love. The headboard lit up with fireworks and sang, the pillows were cute, Mickey's hand held the lamps. and we had a pool view. Guess what we did as soon as we got there? lol

They even gave Katie her own room key, personalized. (We all got one, except Emma :p) She was too excited.
We changed into our swim suits and went to the pool, first thing.

It was a relaxing, fun Mother's Day. The girls loved swimming, I loved swimming, and I hope my Mom had fun, too.
After we swam, we went to go eat dinner, but my Mom didn't want to spend too much of Katie's money, so we went to a cheap place, and regretted it pretty quickly. It didn't taste all that great, just cheap food. Thankfully, I already made a breakfast reservation, so she couldn't cheap out on me twice, lol. I wanted to go somewhere nice for Mother's Day dinner, but it's okay. I was looking forward to breakfast =)
Before bed, we got back into our swim suits, and spent an hour night swimming and hanging out in the jacuzzi (It wasn't very hot at all, so even Emma was able to go in it). Really nice day.

Thanks for reading my blog!
