Cherry Picking

I have always wanted to go Cherry Picking. Every year I seem to forget about it and by the time I remember, the time frame for it is over. I was on top of it this year, determined not to miss it! I signed up for the mailing list to get the e-mail, and found out it opened the weekend of Memorial Day. I promised Katie we'd go to Drytown the first day it opened, so I waited til the next day for my cherries. They give you really big buckets to fill, and if you fill it, it's $45. No way was I going to pay $45 for cherries, so we only filled it about a quarter of the way. We paid about $12, and they were soooo yummy. Those were the best cherries. I am definitely going to try to make it back up next year. I don't know how people go when it's even hotter than it was today, yikes. It was crowded since it was opening weekend, but we managed just fine. Emma was getting a little fussy and I had to hold her for a while, but it was still fun and worth it to go.

After cherry picking, my Mom invited us to her house and she tried to make a Cherry Pie recipe she found off Pinterest, but it was more like a cookie with cherry on top, haha. It was not very good, in my opinion, but she also made some with chocolate on top, and those were okay ;)

I have the best kids. So thankful for them, and for their Grandma =)
