South Carolina Day 5, Home At Last

California, here we come, right back where we started from, Californiaaaaaaaa.

It was our last morning in South Carolina. We had to be on our plane by 12:46, and Lynn had to be on hers around 11, at the Columbia, SC airport. We dropped her off then drove the hour and a half to Charlotte, NC where our airport was.
We got there a little early so we took pictures, ate, and shopped for magnets for Mary, since she collects them. We wondered if we should buy medicine for motion sickness, since my Mom and I didn't enjoy the plane ride up to NC. We chose not to, and regretted it. Right when the plane was landing into Memphis, TN Katie threw up on her shirt and the floor of the plane. We took her shirt off, cleaned her up in the restroom, and went to buy her a new one. As well as some medicine for all 3 of us, since my Mom wasn't feeling good either. Since we were in Memphis, everything was Elvis. (Well, almost everything.) Katie was now wearing "Elvis is the King of Rock & Roll, but I'm the PRINCESS" lol.
I bought her a sherbert smoothie to settle her tummy, and because I felt sad for her. She drank it up, chewed her medicine, and off we went on the plane to go home. Mary met us at LAX and took us home. We stopped by Don Cuco's on the way home and ate, it was yummy :) Thanks for taking us and picking us up Mary!

South Carolina Day 4, Plantation

David was back at Fort Jackson, on his way to Maryland, and we went to visit a plantation my Mom wanted to go to. For me, it was pretty darn boring since all there was to do was look at flowers, but my Mom and Lynn liked it. I walked around taking pictures of Katie while they went on a tour of an old house that was there. I tried to go on the tour too, since I had a ticket, but those old ladies in there were shooting killer looks at Katie for talking and I quickly got out of there, less than a minute after the tour started :/ Katie got to run around though, she chased some ducks, and had fun.

There was a small petting zoo there too, so we let Katie play for a bit. When she picked up balls of poo poo though, it was time to go! Haha.

After that we drove to a small town and went on a horse ride. Of course the minute we sat down it started pouring haha. We got soaked! I was cracking up, the guide looked mad at me lol. Too funny though, just our luck! lol After we got off the horse we went to eat at Bocci's, an Italian restaurant and drove three hours back to the hotel. Boring day for me, but my Mom had fun. I was tired!

South Carolina Day 3, Graduation Day

Congratulations soldiers!

David has officially graduation from basic training. We got there an hour early in order to get a good seat. 2 minutes after the graduation started, someone pulled the fire alarm! We all had to exit the building. I couldn't believe it. I lost my good seat! I got an okay one when we were allowed back in the building, but it wasn't as good. I was a little bummed. So much for getting there early. The ceremony only lasted about 15 minutes. It was very simple. When it was over we went to go pick up David and sign him out for the night. He had to be back at 4am :/ Not fun. After we signed him out, we went to go change. I was in a dress and it was cold! David wanted to wear normal clothes for a day too lol. Then we went to go eat at Cracker Barrel. It was pretty good, except my hamburger was sooo red inside I couldn't eat it. Grosses me out, lol.After we ate, we found a children's museum to go to, EdVenture. It was fun! lol. I think David and I liked it more than Katie. We kept playing with everything :p Katie planted carrots.She played in a fire truck.She raced boats in the water.

We went down a slide.Katie was a dentist.
We played a big Operation game. We played Wii volleyball.

Katie went grocery shopping.

We took a picture with Ed.We went on a boat.

We met Curious George.We rode a camel.I became a news reporter.I played with magnets.Katie played on a floor piano.I even became a weather girl :p

After EdVenture, David and I went to the movies to see I Love You, Man. It was pretty funny :p While we were there, my Mom was at the hotel with Katie, and she took some cute pictures of Katie in David's beret. She's such a doll.

After, we went to go eat at Outback Steakhouse. We then went back to the hotel until 3am when David had to be back. We were sooo tired! Fun day at the museum and movies, boring day getting lost in the car for 4 hours! :p

South Carolina Day 2, Family Day

Today was the first day we got to see David in 9 weeks! He saw us from across the street and walked over.

Next of course we stood there taking a bunch of pictures haha. Katie recognized him right away, it was cute :)

We went to a store real quick so David could buy a suitcase to take to Maryland. The only store in Fort Jackson I think. It was so miserably crowded, I hated it! I was about to punch everyone by the time we were ready to leave lol.

Of all the places, and the 2 restaurants they had to eat at, David wanted to go to Taco Bell for lunch, so that's where we went...lol. (And for dinner he chose Burger King! lol) We drove to the park next. Katie was playing with David's hat on the ride over. She loves hats, and thought she was the coolest.When we got to the park, Katie played for about 2 hours. She had a lot of fun! She kept just wanting more and more "slides." It was tough stuff keeping up with her. There wasn't really much to do on Fort Jackson, and David wasn't allowed to leave, so we finally ended up at a museum they had there. It was boring to me, so I kind of just wandered around and took a few pictures.
He had to be back by 8:30. I didn't get as many pictures as I'd like, but honestly, we were lost most of the trip (and I mean all 4 days! lol) so we were kind of in the car 80% of the time, and didn't have many picture opportunities :/
