Memorial Day, 2012

For our day off from work/school, we chose to spend it at Drytown together. This time we invited my Mom to join us.

Katie was trying to step over my Mom in the water, lol. They play weird things.

So nice to be able to take Katie out of the house for a few hours to have fun and not pay a lot of money =) I always feel bad when she's stuck in the house bored.

Drytown's Opening Weekend

Guess who's excited Drytown is finally open for the Summer?! Katie and I spent many hours there today, enjoying the nice cool water and playing together. They measured her and gave her a wristband to wear, apparently she's tall enough to be in the Lazy River by herself now. According to Mom, heck no she's not going alone! But according to Drytown...she can.

 Time for the kid area!
Katie likes to wear her special hat in the kid area, because she hates water splashing in her eyes.
 Snack break.

Back in the Lazy River for a few more laps :p
So glad Drytown is open again, Katie loves it so much. Now that we live by it, she's always asking me "how long until it opens?" when we drive by, haha. Since I work all the time, we can only come on weekends now, but that's still better than nothing!

A Day Out With Cousins

We spent the first day of our 3 day weekend with Katie's cousins. We went to the dog park with Madison and Hannah to play for a few hours. Katie really likes playing with them. I'm glad they're all close in age =)

After that we went to Lancaster to walk around the Blvd and get a treat for the girls.
Of course they had to stop to take a ride in the glass elevator, haha. Poor Katie put her hands in the bath salt things downstairs, and then rubbed her eyes =/ She was crying, it hurt her so much =/ She was trying to be tough, but it was sad.
Our final stop was the candy store! They each pick a feather lollipop for some reason. Silly girls.

Katie's Cubbie Certificate

Instead of class tonight for Katie, they had an award's ceremony for doing their memory verses and getting their points.
Katie missed a few classes, but still went to most, but they only gave her this participation certificate. Kind of a bummer.

Katie's Preschool Open House

I had to work overtime the night of Katie's Open House, because my class was having their Open House too, but I was able to sneak into Katie's room for a few minutes to look around at the art and pictures she had up. My Mom and Mary came too, so Katie was able to stay with them while I was in my classroom.

She's so precious. She did an awesome job on all her art! Love it!

Mulligan's For Free!

Katie got her prize for raising money for the Jog-A-Thon at school. A pass for Mulligan's Family Fun Center. My Mom and I took her there to use it. She was tall enough for the rides too =)

Those little brats in the corner kept squirting us! We were getting soaked! I had to throw my hood on, haha.

The Go-Karts were fun =) We did good!
This ride was too small for me, so Katie went on by herself.
Katie was pretty good at Mini Golf, before she got bored. lol.

My sneaky little cheater. I love her.

 Good job, Katie!

We went on the Bumper Boats one more time, without anyone else there to wet us! :p
Fun day with my best girl <3 br="">

Grandpa's Outback Birthday Dinner

Grandpa's birthday dinner was at Outback Steakhouse this year. Katie and I came from work to come celebrate with them. The kids were silly playing around.

Happy 65th Birthday! I hope you enjoyed your night out with your family =)

Mother's Day, 2012

We got up and got ready for the beach and checked out of the hotel.
 Dug in the sand.
 Acted super cute. lol :p
And walked down the block to look at the stores.
The Shell Store was my favorite when I was little. They have neat things in there. I still like looking around in there :p
Katie bought some treasures. Not the sunglasses, don't worry, haha.
After shopping we went to eat at Ruby's on the Pier.

So thankful for this beautiful girl who made me a Mom.
Learning how to do the monkey bars. She's getting better and better each try.
 Katie's one cool chick.
Time to scooter around before we leave.
I had a fun weekend, hope my Mom did too! I know Katie did! I love that girl so much. She makes me love being a Mom. The best way to celebrate Mother's Day is to take my kid to do something fun, she's the reason I'm a Mom after all :p

Thanks for reading my blog!
