Mother's Day In Ghost Town

We did a small Mother's Day this year. Katie made me cute crafts at school and David gave me flowers and a cool digital frame. We took my Mom to Ghost Town this year, no over nighter, which made me sad, but it was still fun. When I had gotten there, my camera wasn't turning on, so I figured I must have forgotten to charge it =/ I was super bummed. Thank goodness for cell phone cameras. We took old fashioned photos together, the kid one came out cuter in my opinion, but it was cool to try out. The kids did all sorts of crafts. They made candles, necklaces, stained glass designs, it was cool. We even went into the crooked shack, I liked it. Sure was hard to walk in there though haha. We took a short hike up the mountain to take in the view and rode the train before leaving. Nice day. When we got home, Katie and Emma lit their candles and they made the house smell like chocolate. Katie loves hers. She also bought me an angel in the gift shop to surprise me for Mother's Day. She is so sweet. I love that girl to the moon and back. So grateful for everything this Mother's Day, especially my Mom and kids. They're all so good to me. I enjoy spending time with them. Makes my days more fun.

Photos For Mother's Day

The kids and I went to JcPenney today to take pictures to surprise my Mom for Mother's Day this year. The manager called me to let me know they're doing a special vintage day, so I figured, let's try it, and made an appointment. They came out alright, not my favorites, but they're cute. They had outfits that were like, one size fits all, so they weren't the most flattering. The kids liked it though, and did really well.

Mother's Day Breakfast

The next morning, we got up early and went to our breakfast reservations at Goofy's Kitchen. Emma wore her first pony tail, she looked so cute.

They had an all you can eat breakfast buffet and it was yummy. They had waffles, oatmeal, cereal, eggs, omelets, bacon, pancakes, so much stuff. And of course, dessert =) All the while, characters were walking around, coming to each of the tables. Emma didn't care for them much, but Katie was having a great time.

 Jello
Emma enjoyed a gummy worm, haha.
We swam, one more time, before leaving to go back home. It was a nice trip. Katie had an absolute blast, Emma enjoyed being outside and playing all day. Happy Mother's Day Mom. I hope you had a fun trip with us. You do so much for us, I like to be able to do things for you sometimes, too. We love you very much! I'm so thankful everyday, that you're my Mom! =)

Mother's Day 2014

My Mom has always wanted to stay at the Disneyland Hotel. Back when the Neverland pool was there, it probably would have been even better. But better late than never, right? Katie and I saved up for months to have a special Mother's Day. It was supposed to be a surprise, but my Aunt told my Mom. Next year, my lips are sealed. lol. So even though it wasn't a cool surprise, we still had a lot of fun. Katie and I bought a box and stickers months ago and saved up our money in there. Every time Katie cleaned her room and got a dollar, she'd add it to the box. If I happened to have a $5 bill in my pocket, I'd stick it in the box to help Katie out. We had a good $700 by the time Mother's Day came around. I was proud of Katie for doing so well, and not buying toys with her money instead. We didn't buy tickets for Disneyland, because Katie wanted to swim and stuff at the hotel, and we wouldn't have time to do everything.

When we got there, Katie was in love. The headboard lit up with fireworks and sang, the pillows were cute, Mickey's hand held the lamps. and we had a pool view. Guess what we did as soon as we got there? lol

They even gave Katie her own room key, personalized. (We all got one, except Emma :p) She was too excited.
We changed into our swim suits and went to the pool, first thing.

It was a relaxing, fun Mother's Day. The girls loved swimming, I loved swimming, and I hope my Mom had fun, too.
After we swam, we went to go eat dinner, but my Mom didn't want to spend too much of Katie's money, so we went to a cheap place, and regretted it pretty quickly. It didn't taste all that great, just cheap food. Thankfully, I already made a breakfast reservation, so she couldn't cheap out on me twice, lol. I wanted to go somewhere nice for Mother's Day dinner, but it's okay. I was looking forward to breakfast =)
Before bed, we got back into our swim suits, and spent an hour night swimming and hanging out in the jacuzzi (It wasn't very hot at all, so even Emma was able to go in it). Really nice day.

Girl Scout Mother's Day

We celebrated Mother's Day today at Girl Scouts, by making cards for the Moms. Katie made this one for me.
Why the leader handed out Thanksgiving, Christmas, Easter, etc papers with the flowers and plants and stuff, I'll never know. So, this is my beautiful Mother's Day card from Katie this year, lol. Love it. She's too funny.

Mother's Day At Seal Beach

I like to go places for Mother's Day. My Mom does too :p Nicer to spend the day together doing something fun, rather than just do dinner and a present. We have been going to Seal Beach for the past few years. We went again this year, with Ashleigh, Anthony, the kids, and Mary. David stayed home to have dinner with his Mom. I am 22 weeks pregnant today =) When we got to the beach, there were no parking spots! It was frustrating. When we finally got one, we unloaded our trunks with all the towels and sand toys and boogie boards.

We went to zPizza for lunch.
The girls had so much fun playing together in the water.
Katie was singing into the ocean like Ariel. She's so cute.
Katie had a great time playing with my Mom today.

The girls loved the boogie boards. All 3 of them, and the 2 Grandma's played on them.
Their sand castle.
We ended the day with a walk down the boardwalk and ice cream at Cold Stone.
Super fun day!
The best part of Mother's Day, the special gifts from Katie. She made me a beautiful card and flower picture at school this year. So cute =)
David also bought me a cute frame and necklace. He's so sweet. The frame was of our beautiful baby girl in my tummy. We can't wait to meet her! I love my family so much! I'm thankful for all 3 of them!

Thanks for reading my blog!
