So Cool She's Jealous

I'm pretty sure Izzy was jealous of Emma's coolness today. Haha. We were playing in the backyard and watering the grass today while Katie was at school. The dog watched from the gate, wishing she could have a turn to drive, I'm sure.

Backyard Fun

Emma was playing with her new car Gee Gee bought her today, in the backyard. She is too small to drive herself, but Katie and I took turns pushing her around. She was having so much fun! When she gets older she'll be able to put her feet down and drive like a Flintstone, haha.

Disneyland Birthday

I wanted to take Emma to Disneyland for her first birthday. I thought it would be so much fun for her, we even made reservations to eat with the Princesses at Ariel's Grotto. Plus, Katie hasn't been in a while either, and I knew she would enjoy it too. My Mom, the kids and I got a hotel room the night before, close by, and swam the night before. Katie adores hotels. Especially if they have a pool. So we hung out and avoided a long and early morning drive. We got there on time and waited for the gates to open.

Emma liked some of the rides, but other rides, like Winnie the Pooh, freaked her out a bit. She slept through Dumbo.

Dipping her toes in the water was a big hit. Haha. It was warmer out than we thought it would be today. I thought summer was over by September, but I was wrong.

We took a lunch break to eat with the Princesses, where Emma cried at the sight of cake once again. Too funny. The desserts were my favorite.

We spent time at Disneyland, we spent time at California Adventure. It was a fun day. Hard, with feeding Emma throughout, and changing her, and things. But still fun. I might take her again when she's 2, I think she would enjoy it more. Katie had tons of fun, I had fun, and Emma really enjoyed being outdoors with her family. Plus, she looked super cute ;)

12 Months

My baby is one year old. I can't believe how much time has gone by, it seems like it has only been a few months. She is saying a few words, like "Katie" and "Dada." She is standing up while holding things. She is just about to start walking. She makes me laugh on a daily basis. She is learning so much, it's amazing. I'm so proud of who she is. She is hard, and she is difficult and stubborn, but she is so special to me. I love her so much. I'm so excited for the years to come.

Emma's 1st Birthday!

I had Emma's birthday party later in the day so I could get her rested and fed after the bridal shower. We did a small party for her at the park, with just family, because she doesn't really have friends yet, lol.

Lauryn and Becky brought her this cute turtle to play on. She's still a little too small to reach the floor, so she had to be pushed around. She liked it though =)

And the other kids did too ;)

The only bummer was it got dark pretty quickly. My Mom made Emma her own cake, but apparently, Emma doesn't like cake. As soon as she touched it she started crying. So much for that! haha. I tried again when we got home, and she gave me the same reaction, so I'm going to assume she doesn't like cake yet. lol.

She did get some pretty cool toys though, and pretty outfits =) I was so excited that she opened all her presents by herself. Katie was not interested in opening her presents at all on her first birthday, so watching Emma tear the paper off and look in all the bags was pretty cool.

So glad everyone was able to make it to her special day =) Thank you for coming, and thank you for her gifts, she loves them all!

Rachel's Bridal Shower

Rachel's bridal shower landed on the same day as Emma's birthday party, so we had a busy day! It was a nice shower and Emma was a good sport. It was fun seeing my old co-workers again, I liked talking to them and getting the scoop on what's been going on over there, haha.

Can't wait for the wedding in November! =)

Cheer Bears

This year, Katie has decided to join Cheer Bears, the cheer team for the younger kids, Kindergarten-2nd grade. Today was her first practice, and she LOVED it. We are still waiting for their practice shirts to come in, so they didn't match today. She is so excited, I can't wait to see her first cheer performance =) Emma and I hung out for the hour practice and watched her.

I Have A 2nd Grader!

I cannot believe my baby is going to 2nd grade today.She is growing up too quickly. She is so smart and fun to be around, I'm so proud of her. I know she will do great in school this year. She always does so well on her classwork, and she always does great on her homework with me, needing very little help. I can't wait to see what this year has in store for her. She is so happy to be in her best friend's class this year again, too! =)
