Ending The Year With Friends
For New Year's Eve, my friends wanted to come over and hang out with our girls. We made tacos and tried to watch The Help, but didn't really get too far since we talk too much and we were watching the kids play.
My friends thought it was hilarious to let their daughters play with my expensive Mickey kitchen things =/ The kids saw Mickey and wanted it.
I had a good time catching up with them, I'm glad that's how Katie and I ended our year. I'm not really big on staying up until midnight, I'd rather just go to bed, and I think they felt the same way. They left early to take their kids home and put them in bed. Maybe when Katie gets older and wants to stay up, I'll do it with her. But for now....goodnight ;p

Dress Up At School
I am so thankful that if I have to work until 6, that at least I can have Katie there with me. I'm not sure I would be able to handle being away from her all day long and only seeing her for an hour or two before bed at night. Kids need their Moms. I'm glad I get to watch her interact at school and watch her play with her friends. She had fun today dressing like a Princess and dancing around.

My Little Chef
When Katie woke up, the first thing she wanted to do was play with her Easy Bake Oven my Grandma bought her. For her first recipe, she picked brownies. She put on the apron and hat my Grandma bought her, and we mixed away.
Carefully putting the batter in the oven.
Taking a taste.
Yum! A perfect brownie. She deserves her own restaurant. Haha.
We took a break from cooking, to play with her new kitchen Grandma Lynn bought her.
But oh no! They got her order wrong! Now what was she going to do?! Haha.
Katie decided we should make one more snack, since she had so many mixes to choose from. This time she picked cupcakes, and they came out really cute!
Delicious too ;p
The very last adventure of the day, coloring her new house. She got a little farther than this before she gave up completely and just had me put it together so she could crawl inside.

Wonser's Merry Christmas
This year we had Christmas over at David's Dad's house.
Katie entertained with her music.
The older girls played on YouTube listening to music videos.
My beautiful Christmas girl made up all kinds of songs, and sang them so cute while dinner was cooking.
After everyone ate, the kids got into the presents!
Katie is obsessed with stuffed animals. I think this little doggie might have been her favorite gift of the night!
Poor Preston got made fun of all night for his leg.
They opened up their matching gifts and dressed up.
Nice night with David's family =)
Merry Christmas to all, and to all a good night!
Christmas Morning On The Queen Mary
When Katie woke up in the morning, she opened her presents from David and I. We had a nice relaxing morning with my Mom, who came over to watch Katie open presents.
Then we headed over to Long Beach to have brunch on the Queen Mary with my family.
They had this Santa on the ship so the kids could take a picture with him.
Katie was very grown up picking out her own food at the buffet.
And fancy with her apple juice in a champagne glass.
I bought Mary a personalized Disney World shirt for their trip coming up.
The girls started getting restless waiting for everyone to finish eating and opening a few presents from the people they don't live with. They started dancing around and having their own fun.
When everyone was finished, we let the kids run around the ship and explore.
They found what they called Hopscotch and had a good time :p
On the way home, Mary wanted to stop by the graves to decorate them for Christmas.
My kid got a little silly and started running around with the rake, laughing and not willing to share with the other girls. She's a nut. The graves turned out pretty though. I wish my Dad could have met my baby girl. He would have loved her. She's so precious, even when she's stealing rakes. I just love her so much!
Merry Christmas!

Santa's House Call
Katie and I never made it to the mall this year to see Santa. Life (and work mostly) got in the way. So I finally decided to take her on Christmas Eve, since it was a weekend and we didn't have work and school. Well. Katie woke up sick =/ We were not going to make it to see Santa this year. But then, something awesome happened. Santa knocked on Katie's door at home! She was sooo surprised and shy, it was the cutest thing.
He brought Katie a present- the Play-doh Dentist toy she has been wanting for weeks!
We left cookies out for when Santa came back with his reindeer while we slept. Katie made them with my Mom at her house.
Thank you so much for coming by Santa! You made Katie's night! =)

Make-Up Mishap
I went to the mall with Lauryn to grab a few last minute things for Christmas, and of course she wanted to go into Sephora to look around. While I wasn't looking, someone got into the samples they have all over the store. And of course she stuck her little finger in them and wiped them on her face to be "pretty." Haha, she's so cute. I love this girl so much!

Candy Cane Lane With Grandmas
I love holidays things/events. Candy Cane Lane is one of them. We go every year, and it's always so fun. Some people are lazy and drive through, but I prefer to walk it.
For one, you can buy all the yummy snacks they sell along the way if you walk. Katie got a cupcake that looked like Rudolph. So cute!
One of the houses even had a stage. Pretty cool.
Of course Katie the star needed to shine up there. She's the best.
So true, lol.
The people that lived in this house, really had the last name Grinch. So they worked with it, and made their whole yard into a Grinch theme, including the song playing as you walked by.
And hey, pay $2 and you can get your picture taken with the Grinch!
I think this house was Katie's favorite. It had the Disney Princesses. The only problem was most of them were covered with plastic. I wonder if it rained recently down here. So pretty though.
It even had Tinkerbell dangling, I mean, flying through the air.
Peter Pan and Captain Hook fighting up on the balcony.
Pretty fun night. I think I'll come back next year ;p
