Fourth, Fun, Fireworks
My family doesn't care for fireworks very much, so we hung out with them during the day. We went swimming at Drytown and the kids enjoyed playing together. It was a nice morning. Hot, but fun.
After swimming, we went home and I got my kids ready in their holiday outfits. Katie likes picking hers out now, but I'm still able to choose what I want for Emmie. Her little jellies are so easy and match almost everything. Love those shoes. Katie is all about flip flops. Loves them. She would wear them everyday if she was allowed to.

We headed to Bobby's house where the girls played with their other cousins now. My husband brought his dogs, hoping they wouldn't be as scared of the noise if they were out with him. Unfortunately Bobby also has dogs and they didn't get along so well, so they stayed separated the rest of the night.
I love every holiday, I don't discriminate, so I had a good time. I know fireworks are expensive these days, and they only last a few seconds, but my kids are happy and I'm happy. We're having family time and we're outdoors, the kids were given 4th of July themed popsicles. What more could you need? =)

Grandma's Birthday Dinner
We started the morning off at Drytown with Anthony's family, my Grandma, and my Mom and my kids. It was fun. The kids went around and around the lazy river with us. I don't like the kid playground, so I always hope they won't ask to go haha. I always get splashed in the face and the water is so shallow. But when they do ask, I go. It's always more fun when more people join us to swim.
My Mom made my Grandma's favorite cake for her birthday and we went over to celebrate together. It was a good night. It ended with the adults being crazy and driving around in Joe's motorized chair down the street. I think some had a little too much to drink, lol.

Color Vibe 2015
This was our first event of the new year. We bought tickets a few months ago. Only because it was right here in Palmdale, not because we're addicted or they're so much fun. I mean, they are fun, but this is like our 3rd or 4th one, so, losing excitement haha. The kids had fun though, besides Emma, who did not care for the color on her at all. I stopped going through after I saw that she didn't like it. The older girls liked it though :p
Fun morning out with family! =)

Hannan & Madison's Dance Recital
My Mom, Grandma, Katie, Emma and I went to support Hannah and Madison and watch their dance recital. I bought tickets when they went on sale so we could be sure to go. They did a Frozen song, it was really cute. They did a great job. The whole show was like 2 hours, and they were only on for 4 minutes. That was a little bit a bummer, but the show was still entertaining.
They were so cute dressed up.

Candy Cane Lane 2014
One of my favorite holiday traditions- Candy Cane Lane. I love walking around looking at the pretty lights and eating snacks. This year, the snacks let me down though. The city started making them pay taxes for selling treats, so the prices were raised this year =( $4 for a brownie (and they throw in a free water bottle) but still. That's expensiveee. Bummer. AND they can't sell after 9pm anymore. We had to hurry and pick a snack before closing time. I got nothin'. They sold out of brownies and weren't making more since it was close to 9. Katie got popcorn and a brownie, but forgot her brownie on the table while she stirred her hot chocolate and we walked away without it, not realizing it until a few minutes later =/ The kids all had a lot of fun though. We all drove up in Ashleigh's van together.
I know it's mostly the same decorations every year- but I still love it!
The wagon was a big hit. All the lazy kids were crying and trying to squish in it. We made them take turns, but they still whined lol. Hopefully they're better walkers next year :p

Madison's Field Trip
Ashleigh invited me to Madison's school field trip so she wouldn't be alone. I was more than happy to tag along :) I dressed Emma in her Halloween outfit before dropping Katie off at school and we headed over to pick up Ashleigh. The kids learned about some animals when we got there.
Some of the statues were pretty cool. Olaf was cute. We had to follow another Mom into the maze, she was in charge of Madison's group, and she wouldn't wait for us to snap a picture or anything, it was annoying =/
We were finally able to go off on our own after the kids had lunch. If your parent was there, you were allowed to go with them. We rode in the cars for a bit.
Posed Emma for a bit.
And then bought tickets for the train ride that took us all around the corn maze.
It was a nice afternoon together, I'm glad she invited me. Emma had fun, Madison had fun, and I had fun.

Stu Miller's Pumpkin Patch
I know this pumpkin patch is small and has the same few rides every year, but I really like taking Katie every year, and now Emma too. Of course Emma couldn't do anything yet, but Katie was able to go on the rides with her cousins and they had a lot of fun together.
Hopefully next year Emma will be able to join the kids on some of the rides or bounce slides. It's hard watching other kids have all the fun.

My Mom is 45!
My Mom turned 45 today. We celebrated at my Grandma's. She made tacos and I bought a cake. It was nice to hang out with everyone.
Even Ashley made it over for dinner.
Hopefully she had a nice night with us. I bought her tickets to RiSE Lantern Festival in Vegas in 2 weeks for her gift. I'm so excited to go, it looks beautiful.
