Hannan & Madison's Dance Recital

My Mom, Grandma, Katie, Emma and I went to support Hannah and Madison and watch their dance recital. I bought tickets when they went on sale so we could be sure to go. They did a Frozen song, it was really cute. They did a great job. The whole show was like 2 hours, and they were only on for 4 minutes. That was a little bit a bummer, but the show was still entertaining.
They were so cute dressed up.

AV Fair 2014

We went to the fair to watch Hannah and Madison perform their dance they learned. They were great! It took forever and a day for them to get on stage and have their turn, but they were so cute when they did. I had fun hanging out with my cousins for the night. Emma couldn't do anything, but Katie had a lot of fun =) It was nice until it got late, then the crowds came. Pretty fun though.

We even ran into Annabelle and Zoey there =)

The Big Dance Show

Katie's hair is fancy, her bow is in, her outfit is on, her tap shoes are laced, she's ready for her performance!

She performed at the Palmdale Playhouse.
My Mom, Grandma Lynn, and Bob came to watch her perform.

So proud of my princess!

Afterwards we went to Gee Gee's so Katie could see her cousins for a bit.
David brought his Legoman "friend" out to play too.

Saying Goodbye And Dance Recital

Today it was time for David to go back to the Army base. We got up early to drive him to LAX to say goodbye. This made my heart sad. I hate when he leaves. We miss him too much!
After we dropped Daddy off, Katie had her dance recital practice, so she got dressed in her outfit and headed on over. This was the only day that they allowed us to take pictures or record. I didn't agree with that. For her performance on stage, that people are coming and paying to see, cameras are not allowed. This is a big moment for parents watching their kids, they should be allowed to capture the memory. Especially when they pay so much for the classes. But, here are the photos from her practice run. She's not very interested in actually paying attention to the dance moves while she's in class, she mostly likes to look in the big mirror and go off and sing while she stares at herself. So when the time came to put on the show...she didn't exactly know all the right moves. BUT, I thought she was adorable, and was happy to watch her on stage.

And Katie had fun, so that's all that matters. She's so beautiful.

Katie's First Time At The Salon

Katie had to take some Dance Recital Photos at the studio, so I took her to get her hair done. All the kids in her class were taking individual photos and then a group photo.

I think her first time at the salon went pretty well! She looked so beautiful.

Another Ballerina Day

My Mom found a few ballerina outfits at a yard sale. Katie picked this one to wear to class today. I love her.

Bunny Pictures!

My Mom, Mary, and I went to the Valencia Mall to get Katie's dance pictures taken. Kiddie Kandids closed down, and Picture People are my second choice! Her bunny costume looked adorable on her =) While we waited for the pictures, we took her on the Merry Go Round. Never knew I could love someone this much! She's the best thing ever!

Katie's 1st Dance Recital

Katie had her first dance recital at Pete Knight High School. She was a bunny in Little Red Riding Hood. She was the cutest bunny in the room! =) They didn't allow cameras inside, so I took her picture outside, before going in. Lauryn got there early and saved us all seats!! We were in the 3rd row. The presale tickets we bought were $12 each! That's a lot for only having 2 minutes of stage time, but it was worth it to see my baby girl on stage.

My Mom snuck one group picture real quick when the recital was over.

Thanks for coming everyone!! Katie loved having everyone there to watch her!

Dance Recital Practice

Katie had dance practice the night before her recital. It was miserable! They told us to get there an hour before they even let the kids practice. They were just sitting in their seats bored, then they moved to a group on the floor, being hyper and bored. When they were finally given th chance to go through their dance, they only went through it one time, and by then the kids were tired! They did not plan this very well.

Katie got a new dance outfit, a Princess one. She likes it and I think she looks so pretty in it.

I love my Princess!

Dance Class Parent's Day

Katie's dance class had a Parent's Day where we were finally allowed in the room to watch them dance. Usually I have to wait out in the waiting room and watch from the window.
This is her favorite part. She's been doing better lately. :)
The first half of the class is tap, and the second half is ballet.
I hope she can get it together and do a super job by the time the Winter Recital rolls around.

Katie's A Tappity Tap Tapper

Katie does a much better job in dance class now that adults aren't allowed in the room with them. I watch her through the window and she is so cute. She taps away, does the hokey pokey, and does all their little songs and dances, watching the teacher the whole time to know what to do. David was able to see her this week too :)

Shy Girl

I never thought of Katie as shy, but in her dance class she clings to me like glue!

Katie's First Dance Class

I enrolled Katie in dance classes and her first one has to be Parent & Me, so I'm in there with her for this month. She has a short recital that's optional, but I don't know if I'm going to take her, because I have to be in it too they said haha. I'm too embarrassed! Maybe, we'll see!
At the end of each class the teacher has them jump over these flowers twice, to teach them how to take turns she says.

Thanks for reading my blog!
