Happy Birthday Karin

We were supposed to meet at Chili's for dinner, but after waiting an hour we ended up going to Karin's house for pizza and hot wings. The kids played, the girls talked, the boys played pool. It was pretty laid back, everyone had a good time :) Grandma Lynn brought the kids surprises again, Katie got morrocca's, but she calls them "shakes" because when I was showing her how to use them I said "shake shake shake" lol. She is so funny to me! Karin got a lot of nice things, I'm sure she liked them all :) Travis insisted on helping her open everything, and at the end when he saw there wasn't any trains after all that, he took off to go play. It was a nice night :)

Travel Town & Griffith Park

Mary invited Katie and I to go to Travel Town and Griffith Park with her and David. We had so much fun! Thanks for taking us Mary :) We started the day at Budget because Mary insisted on renting a car. Then we went to get McDonald's for the kids and Subway for us. When we got to Travel Town the kids were excited. As soon as we got there we headed for the train. David bought a smashed penny while we waited for our turn to get on. The kids both liked the train a lot!
After the ride Mary wanted to go to the gift shop to get them something, but they both wanted a lot haha. So she settled for train whistles and punch balloons.
After that we went to go to Griffith park, where we found another train and pony rides. Katie wasn't too sure about the pony's at first, but then she went on. David liked them the whole time :) He was in front, so he kept looking back to see Katie :p They had fun!
After the ponies Mary bought us snow cones. Yum! Next, we went on the train. We were second in line so we didn't get the VERY front, but still, we were up there. David did NOT like being second. He wouldn't look up or get excited during the whole train ride.
Katie enjoyed herself and had fun on the train. Others...did not.
Because of this, Mary bought more tickets to go on a second time, so David could be first. His reaction?
Unfortunately, David was tired after our trip, and he cried for 20 minutes for a train set on the drive home haha. Kids are funny.
Just in case you missed it, my camera broke! Most of my pictures from today have a black spot on them, like this one. My Mom took it back and got me a new one, but I'm bummed some cute pictures got ruined! :/

McAdam's Park

I have been taking Katie to the park lately, because she likes it and has fun, and because I'm bored at home all day lol. So we went to McAdam's to play until Lauryn got out of school and we could go walking. Katie had so much fun. She went down the slide so many times, found a tumbleweed that she carried around for 20 minutes and even took down the slide with her. They were friends. She goes on the teeter totter now too, but I have to do all the teetering for her. She doesn't know how yet lol. It was fun playing with her though, I'm glad I get to! :)
When 3 rolled by we went to pick up Lauryn from school and headed over to the walking park. Katie slept for a while and then we went to the mall to pick out a present for Karin's birthday. We ended up letting Katie play in the play area at the mall and she met some friends :p A random little boy hugged her, another little girl thought her Wubbzy crocs were the coolest. She had fun :) Her favorite thing to do was crawl through the little tunnel over and over haha. She's cute :)

4.2 Miles

Lauryn and I have been going walking together everyday lately. Ashley texted me and asked if she could go too, so I went to pick her up from Kim's house, and she asked if Aniah could come too. So we took both babies with us :)
I had already gone walking with my Mom earlier, so I was getting more miles in for my day :) I'm bored since David is gone and I've been walking everyday so far almost :p Aniah and Katie were doing really good at first, sitting in their strollers, drinking their juice and eating their snacks. Then all of a sudden Aniah wanted out, so then I HAD to take Katie out too, or she'd be ticked haha.

Aniah was running all over the place, copying all the joggers going by, and Katie kept trying to hold her hand, but Aniah didn't like it I guess, she kept pulling her hand away from Katie and saying "no." Ashley said she can't stand feeling like her hand is dirty or something. They had fun though, we went around 3 times for 2.1 miles with 2 kids. That was the best we could do before it was time to GO! Katie insisted on pushing Aniah's stroller at 1 mph and Aniah kept running off making Ashley chase her, so we called it a day lol.
Glad we got some exercise in though :p I had fun with my cousins :)
After we went walking we took Ashley and Aniah home so Ashley wouldn't be late for her youth group. We wanted to show us her new room, it is sooo cute! I wish I had a cute room like that!
Then Lauryn and I went to Wal-Mart real quick to get food for my house. We tried a Sonic's Ocean Water thinking juice sounded nice with crushed ice, and it was literally Sprite with blue food coloring LOL. We were disappointed. I ended the night by going to my Grandma's for Americal Idol like we do every Tuesday and Wednesday. Desiree set the kids up in Grandma's room watching Spongebob and eating fish, so that we could concentrate on the singing haha.

Dinner Invatation

Tonight my Mom invited Katie and I over to her house for dinner. She made stew for us. While we were there, Katie was trying to tell my Mom she had to pee, but my Mom didn't understand her at first. Katie walked my Mom to the bathroom, and when my Mom finally got what she was saying, she took off her diaper to put her on the toilet. My Mom took the diaper off in mid pee, and it got all over Katie's pants :/ I don't have any clothes for Katie at my Mom's, so she tried finding something for her to wear, and could only come up with one of my old t-shirts and a diaper cover as "pants." Katie looked so cute and funny in it we kept laughing. She was dancing around to Wubbzy and playing in it, then she finally took it all the way off and tried to take her diaper cover off too lol. She is a silly chick. It was a relaxing, boring night :p Thanks for inviting us Mom :)

Happy 1st Birthday Sariah!

Desiree and I took Katie and David to a birthday party today at 1. My friend from high school was throwing a party for her 1 year old daughter Sariah. She had a moon bounce set up for the kids, and that's the first thing we did, because as soon as David saw it he said "I want one of those!" haha. David jumped in first, then my friend put the birthday girl in there. Katie wouldn't go at first, she was clinging to me afraid we'd stick her in there, but after she saw a "baby" in there, she decided she would be brave too, and went in. Turns out, she loved it! For the rest of the day she kept trying to run back outside to get in it. There were older kids in there though, and they were playing rough, so she didn't get to be in it as much as she wanted.
2 hours after the party started, they started serving hamburgers and hotdogs to everyone, as well as watermelon. That's all Katie ate, she loves watermelon! David ate a bun, lol. He's so funny. He didn't want meat, just a bun. After we ate Katie started to get silly. For some reason, she put the toy basket on her head, like it was a hat, and walked all around with it, like she wasn't doing anything out of the ordinary. I was cracking up at her, she's so weird :p Soon after she fell asleep, thank goodness. She was tired and cranky and bothering us lol. She didn't like being cooped up in the same spot for so long I think. There were a few baby toys out for her to play with, but she has a short attention span, lol.
After a while they finally did the pinata. This was the longest party I have ever been to. Poor David was getting bored and tired from all the waiting. Around 4 they got everyone together and let them all take turns hitting it, smallest to biggest. David got to go second, right after the birthday girl. He liked it :) After it broke, they all rushed to get some, and David tried to get in other people's piles, that had scooped it up in their legs right after it fell lol. I helped him get some though and he got about half a bag, which is a lot for a 4 year old!The hosts were getting tired by this point, so they were getting speedy. Right after the pinata they did the cake. The birthday girl got her own small one, and then everyone had a big one to share. It was decorated so cute :)
They didn't open the presents at the party (My favorite part :/ ) She got a lot though. My friend read online that it's not good to open presents at a kid's birthday, because all of the guest's kids will be sad and want presents too....but I say oh well! lol. I wanted to see her open them :/ I've never been to a party that didn't open them before, I was sad about that.

Thanks for reading my blog!
