Happy 1st Birthday Sariah!

Desiree and I took Katie and David to a birthday party today at 1. My friend from high school was throwing a party for her 1 year old daughter Sariah. She had a moon bounce set up for the kids, and that's the first thing we did, because as soon as David saw it he said "I want one of those!" haha. David jumped in first, then my friend put the birthday girl in there. Katie wouldn't go at first, she was clinging to me afraid we'd stick her in there, but after she saw a "baby" in there, she decided she would be brave too, and went in. Turns out, she loved it! For the rest of the day she kept trying to run back outside to get in it. There were older kids in there though, and they were playing rough, so she didn't get to be in it as much as she wanted.
2 hours after the party started, they started serving hamburgers and hotdogs to everyone, as well as watermelon. That's all Katie ate, she loves watermelon! David ate a bun, lol. He's so funny. He didn't want meat, just a bun. After we ate Katie started to get silly. For some reason, she put the toy basket on her head, like it was a hat, and walked all around with it, like she wasn't doing anything out of the ordinary. I was cracking up at her, she's so weird :p Soon after she fell asleep, thank goodness. She was tired and cranky and bothering us lol. She didn't like being cooped up in the same spot for so long I think. There were a few baby toys out for her to play with, but she has a short attention span, lol.
After a while they finally did the pinata. This was the longest party I have ever been to. Poor David was getting bored and tired from all the waiting. Around 4 they got everyone together and let them all take turns hitting it, smallest to biggest. David got to go second, right after the birthday girl. He liked it :) After it broke, they all rushed to get some, and David tried to get in other people's piles, that had scooped it up in their legs right after it fell lol. I helped him get some though and he got about half a bag, which is a lot for a 4 year old!The hosts were getting tired by this point, so they were getting speedy. Right after the pinata they did the cake. The birthday girl got her own small one, and then everyone had a big one to share. It was decorated so cute :)
They didn't open the presents at the party (My favorite part :/ ) She got a lot though. My friend read online that it's not good to open presents at a kid's birthday, because all of the guest's kids will be sad and want presents too....but I say oh well! lol. I wanted to see her open them :/ I've never been to a party that didn't open them before, I was sad about that.
