Aladdin Movie Night

My Mom saw that the Acton Park was hosting a movie night featuring Aladdin, and we all went to let the kids have a nice summer night out. They were able to play at the park while we waited for it to get dark.

When it was almost time for the movie to start, we settled down into our spots and bought some snacks for the kids.
I also packed some snacks with me, like these wax juice candies.
All of the kids were good today, except one. EMMA. Haha. She would not sit for the movie, because, duh, she's a baby, and movies are long. I took my Kindle that I was very grateful I brought, and went to go read on a bench while I put Emma down for a nap on my shoulder. When she was finally asleep I joined the group for the last bit of the movie.

The kids had a fun night, and enjoyed their popcorn and snow cones. I'm glad they sold snacks there, and I'm glad I remembered to bring cash. I like movie nights at the park. They're fun. Hopefully they do it again next summer, and Emma sits :p My first movie night at the park was Grease, with David and my family, the first year we met, before Katie was born =)

Swimming With Jaren

I used the last of my free Drytown tickets today to let Jaren in to swim with us. Katie and Jaren plan to get married one day, when they're much older. Jaren already calls Katie his wife, and Katie says that he will probably be her boyfriend when she gets bigger. Haha. As long as he's nice to her, it's okay with me :p The kids had a lot of fun swimming. Katie even played with the squirt gun things, which she never does, because she hates water in her face. I was so proud of her for being brave today and having fun =)

Lauryn Owens At Drytown

After years and years! I finally got Lauryn to come to Drytown with us. I had another free ticket I let her use and talked her into it. We only went for a little over an hour, but it was still nice! The kids had fun and I had fun :p

Happy 8th Birthday Travis!

We went to Michael and Kelly's house to celebrate Travis' birthday. He asked for lots of Nerf Guns, and the kids (and some adults) had a lot of fun playing with them after he opened them.

Travis wanted pie for his birthday this year =)

Beach Babes

I went to Seal Beach with my friends and their kids, and it was so much fun! Katherine brought her two daughters (Izzy & Audri) and her sister (Shannon), Laura brought her two daughters (Emma & Brooke) and her friend Tina and her son Dustin, and I brought Katie, Emma and Lauryn. We brought lunch so the kids could eat when we got there, and I used the Pinterest idea I found, using a fitted sheet to keep the sand off your blanket. Worked pretty well until the kids kept getting on and off the sheet with their sandy feet, lol. At least their food was sand free.
They dug, made sandcastles, played in the water.

The best part of the day would probably be the boogie board though, of course! Katie was a superstar on it, and I helped Dustin and Izzy go on it a few times, too. They liked it!
Super fun day, my only regret is not getting a group photo!

Swimming At Ashleigh's

Ashleigh invited us over to her apartment to go swimming with her girls. My Mom brought some cool floats for the kids to use. The water gun was really squirting people :p They had a fun time playing together, even though it wasn't the warmest day of the month. The hot tub was not too hot either, so the kids were able to go relax in there for a bit to warm up =)

Drytown Girls

I had some free tickets to Drytown so I let Katherine use them to hang out with us =) Katie had fun playing with Izzy, and I'd like to say Emma had fun playing with Audri, but, Emma's little and didn't do much, haha. It got chilly after a few hours so we had to call it a day, but it was still nice to have new people to swim with =) I'm convinced Emma likes swimming, lol. She seems to enjoy it when we go.

10 Months

Man is this year flying by. I can't believe Emma is already 10 months old. She is getting such a personality, I love watching her change into a little person. She is crawling everywhere now, she is so cute.

Books, Books, Books

I took the girls to Barnes & Noble to let Katie spend her gift card. Of course I ended up helping a little, so she could get her book and a bookmark. I'm just glad she likes to read ;) She was having fun playing with the blocks and trains with Emma while we were there. They're funny kids. It was a nice relaxing day =)

The Ringling Bros.

Katie has been asking me to go to the circus. I don't really like the circus, it's pretty boring if you ask me. But, I wasn't going to discourage her, so I found out they were going to be in town, and invited Katherine to come with us. We carpooled together and had a quick dinner and got in our seats.
I wasn't too impressed. The kids liked it for the first 30 minutes. Then..I went to go get snow cones so they could have a snack. Then, Emma was getting squirrely so I had to go stand in the back with her, so she didn't bother the people around us. Then, somehow I ended up holding Emma and Audri, who was also bored with the show now. I had one kid on each hip, the worker standing back there with me was laughing. Then, Katie and Izzy came to stand by me. All in all, I'm pretty sure we won't be going back to the circus for many years to come, LOL.

Glad Katie was finally able to get to the circus, but secretly even more glad that she didn't like it and I don't have to go back for a long time haha.

Gilroy Gardens

We finally made it to Gilroy Gardens. A long way to drive, but it was pretty fun. It wasn't a huge amusement park, mostly just for kids. No roller coasters really. It was fun though. Apparently, the big thing about the city of Gilroy, is garlic. They are famous for it. They sell garlic ice cream, pickled garlic, purple garlic, all kinds of stuff around the town, and the mascot for the park was even a garlic. Too funny. The town smells good though, like spaghetti, haha.

Emma was able to go on a few rides, and I think she liked them. It was nice for me to be able to go on some, too. Obviously if she didn't go on, I didn't go on, lol. It was fine though, I'm glad Katie was able to have fun, and even had Sam to play with. She loves when friends are able to go places with us.

Thanks for reading my blog!
