Friday Night With Dusty

I decided to go to Drytown with my family for night swimming. I picked my Mom up and we headed over there. The line was long waiting for it to open and while waiting we saw the "mascot" Dusty walking around. I had to convince my Mom to leave the line with me and lose our spot so we could take Katie to see him. (We weren't close in line anyway, we were pretty much at the very end.) While Katie gave Dusty a hug my Mom saw Mary in the front of the line alone so we joined her. David's friend Adam and his wife Katie showed up to swim too.

Katie's favorite is the Lazy River. Don't be fooled by this picture, Katie made Mary hold her alllll night and did the sad face if Mary tried to pass her off on someone else to get a break, lol.
Before we left Mary bought me a yummy pretzel with cheese and a snow cone for Katie, but once Katie saw my pretzel she wanted nothing to do with the snow cone and Mary ended up giving it to Adam lol :p Thanks Mary!

Kate E. Cheese

My Mom, Katie, and I went to Chuck E. Cheese. I had some leftover tokens from the last time I went. Katie had so much fun, we stayed for almost 2 hours.

Katie put her token in the slot, and somehow managed to get the highest amount of tickets for that game. She did good!
My little cheater. When the game detected her weight on it, it gave her a game over and she only got 1 ticket :/Chuck E. Cheese was walking around, and Katie gave him a hug :)
She could barely reach to make it over.
Dancing...
Katie is now big enough to go up the tunnels and slide all by herself like a big girl. She's growing up!
We cashed in all her tickets, bought her a lollipop, and saved the rest. Fun night!

Cinemark 22

Rachel, Ashley and I went to the Lancaster Cinemark since Rachel lives in Rosamond. We saw The Ugly Truth, a chick flick of course. It was so cute :) When I got there I realized all my money was in Katie's diaper bag and I was about to go home and call it a day, but Rachel paid for me, so now I need to give her the money back next time I see Ashley lol. Thanks Rachel! :) I'll pay you back, I promise! P.s. Lets see The Time Traveler's Wife when it comes out. 3 of my friends want to go too lol.

Swimming with David

After I took David to the airport I went to my Grandma's house to hang out. Katie ended up going in the little pool with David. My Grandma gave them kitchen stuff to play with and they had fun.

Earlier when I got there David told me "I'm an all American boy Heather!"
Katie pulled my Grandma's blanket off her bed and had a good ol' time playing with it. She played Peek-A-Boo, covered herself up and pretended to sleep, and pulled it all over the house. She's nuts.

See You In A Year...

David's family wanted to throw him a goodbye party, so we went over there to have tacos with everyone. Adam showed up too. Everyone ended up hanging out outside most of the day, because it was cooler I'm assuming. Katie played with her cousins all day, she had fun. It's cute to see her growing up so much lately.

Don't ask me who started this, but somehow the boys figured out there were wasp nests up by the roof. David had a stick, Peech had a bb gun, and Adam had poisonous spray. They were trying to kill them, but ended up annoying them and had to run a few times. Boys are dumb. Who would make wasps angry 10 feet away from 4 kids?
They turned the sprinklers on for the kids to play in. Everyone but Travis went in, he refused to get wet. Katie barely got sprinkled on, she walked right on the edge of where the sprinklers stopped reaching lol
Karli pulled out some glow sticks and the kids all got a bracelet to wear.
Katie heard the ice cream man! After explaining to David that when Katie hears the ice cream truck she NEEDS an ice cream, he finally gave in and ended up buying them for all the kids, and even Steve and me :)
They all decided to do a photo shoot before leaving. Everyone needed a picture with David since they wouldn't get another for a year.
Here you can see how nasty my lungs felt lol.

Thanks for reading my blog!
