Jethawk Sleepover

This was Katie's favorite event of the year! She already can't wait to do it again next year! We went early, so that we could get one of the 1000 jerseys they were giving away, just for fun. We stayed for the baseball game, which came with free meal tickets since we purchased them through the Girl Scout troop.
When Katie got bored, we went to the grass to throw around a ball that Gemma bought for Athena to play with. Emma was having fun just being outside and watching the girls play. She's crawling now, so she kept running away and making me catch her :p

Finally after the game was over, we were able to go to the car and bring our tents and things in.

Tons of troops showed up. We only encountered one problem with a rude leader while there, forcing my Mom to move her tent after she put hers right in front of my Mom's view of the big screen. Haha. After everyone got settled, they played the movie "Frozen" on the big screen. They passed out Sour Patch Kids and a Girl Scout Patch for all the girls. Gemma was even nice enough to go to the liquor store and grab some extra snacks for the girls.

I didn't know it was a family event, so I didn't plan on staying. I thought it was only for the girls, so I didn't want Emma to be there bothering everyone. Turns out, it was an event for everyone who wanted to come with their Girl Scout. Dads, brothers, sisters, Moms, etc were all there together. Not all, but a good chunk. If I would have known, I would have stayed the night with them. Next year for sure. Maybe we can even bring Katie's cousins next time, that would be fun. Katie's really looking forward to it.

Leah's Getting Married

My old job was throwing a small party for Leah, since most of us weren't invited to the wedding, but they wanted to get her a gift. They invited me and the kids to go, so I did. It was a "Pantry Party" where we were supposed to bring cleaning supplies or spices and things you would find in a panty. She got tons of doubles, but the nice thing about that is, you can always use cleaning supplies!

On another note- Emma has 2 teeth! =)

Cousins & Swimming

I was so happy, that so many people were free to go to Drytown with us today! Not only did Gee Gee buy Sam a pass, but Ashleigh and Anthony brought their kids for the day, too =) Katie just loves when other people can come swimming with us. It's more fun for her, since Emma isn't that exciting to Katie just yet.

9 Months

I cannot believe this little girl is already 9 months. She's crawling everywhere, and is making me laugh on a daily basis. She's getting personality, and I am so happy to watch her grow. Happy 9 months baby girl!

Happy Father's Day!

This year for Father's Day the kids and I bought David a hammock for the backyard. The backyard is coming together nicely.
After we hung out at the house in the morning, we went over to Michael's house to celebrate with David's Dad and the rest of his family.
Michael has his pool set up in the backyard, so they brought their swim suits and played in the pool together. Katie and Emma love the water =)

Karli made a cute cake for dessert.
Nice family day, the kids had a great time, the adults relaxed, it was nice.

Katie's 7th Birthday

Katie chose Frozen as her birthday theme this year. My Mom bought a bunch of decorations after Christmas, when they were all on clearance. She decorated so pretty! Everything came out great.

My Mom made Katie's cake, she loved it!! The characters she ordered didn't come in time, so the Disney Infinity characters came to the rescue! ;p

I hired a balloonist and a Bubble Expert to come to the party. It was pretty neat, they put each kid inside a bubble, did a little show, and let the kids play with bubbles outside afterwards.

I ordered these cut outs from Etsy, for a little photo booth section. It was fun playing with them.

This was Katie's favorite gift. Thank you Lauryn, she loved it!
The swing was the hit of the party, until the older boys got on it and it broke off the tree. Haha. Thankfully it's getting fixed!

Katie had so much fun, and I'm glad =) She's such a great girl. Thank you Mom for all your help! Everything came out great!

End Of The Year Awards

I was left a voice-mail on my phone, saying Katie was getting an award. How exciting! They didn't say what it was for, so we were waiting to see.
When Katie was given this little award, with about 80 other students, she was happy, but a little bummed. It was given to her for all the iPeg stuff she did in the office weeks earlier, for knowing how to read, for knowing math, and stuff like that. Each student was also given a blower and they all blew in it when the awards were all given out.
Katie was very surprised to be called back up again, this time, for reading the most AR words out of all the first graders. Pretty cool! She was given a $5 gift card for Barnes  Noble and a free milk shake from Jack in the Box. She was so jazzed.

I am so proud of you Katie. You're an amazing girl, an amazing reader, and so so smart. I love you so much!! You did great this year in school! =)

Thanks for reading my blog!
