Coddington Wedding

My cousin Ashley got married today! She still seems so little to me, it's crazy to think she's going to be starting her new life with her husband! Her wedding was so beautiful. The colors were pretty, the pond was pretty, it was all so nice. I went to see her getting ready before the wedding started, in the bride's room. It was crowded in there, so I didn't stay too long, but I did snap a few pictures of her, which was good, because the photographer wasn't in there, since Ashley didn't want her seeing her get dressed.

We waited around for it to start, looking at everything and taking pictures. It's always fun when you have a lot of family at an event, you get a lot of nice photos of everyone looking nice and dressed up, and you can get some good group shots too =)

I was so thankful David took Emma and was entertaining her while I talked to my family and took pictures of everything. Emma can be a little bit of handful :p The pond had a few ducks in it, so David was showing them to Emma.

Lauryn and I went to "sign the guestbook" which was a really cute painting where everyone put their fingerprint and name on a branch. Too cute.
Emma got Anthony and had him dancing with her for quite a while. He was spinning and flipping her and she was having so much fun. Every time he tried to stop, she would run after him for more haha.
Katie showed us some of her moves as well ;)
The toast was super cute- cookies and milk.

The kids danced and danced and danced the night away, they were having so much fun. It was a really fun day, and everyone had lots of fun. The food was yummy and the company was nice =)

When it was time for Ashley to leave, everyone lit up heart sparklers and she walked through them with her new husband, on their way to the honeymoon cruise. It was so pretty with all the fireworks lighting up their path. Congratulations Ashley, I hope you have a lifetime of happiness. I love you!

Jaren's 8th Birthday

Katie got invited to Jaren's birthday. It was a small party, with only 5 kids including his little brother and Emma. His Mom did a great job decorating the house cute for his party- Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles theme. The kids played a few games, Katie won a TMNT toy for a prize, so she gave it to Emma LOL. They played on the trampoline and with his toys in his room, just hanging out and having fun together. Emma was harassing Camden, because they both wanted to play with the same toy, which usually happens with the younger kids I'm finding out :p It was a good party though, I'm glad Katie was able to see Jaren, I know she misses him now that they don't go to school together. I even found a shirt for Katie to wear, to match the theme, that she liked =)

School Easter Party

Katie's class had a party to celebrate Easter/the last day of school before Spring Break. The kids made a snack, ate some veggies, and played around talking to each other. Emma wandered around looking for things to play with. Katie had a good day, I think she's excited to be out of school for a week too =)

Annual Poppy Photos

My Mom bought my girls outfits to take pictures in this year. I just love Katie's white dress with the poppy background, she looks so beautiful. I try to take these pictures every year, this year was almost not going to happen though. Since California is experiencing a drought, the flowers were not out at much as usual. They came out early, for about 2 weeks, then were gone. Luckily, we found a small patch to take some photos at, before it was too late. The actual reserve it pretty dry of flowers right now. The girls were really good about taking pictures. Emma tried to eat one of course, and just wanted to walk around picking them, which I tried to stop her from doing, but Katie was just hanging out having fun, posing when we asked her to. She's a good sport. These are definitely some of my favorite photos this year.

Steven's Birthday

Jennifer and her husband Preston just recently bought a condo, so they hosted Steven's birthday this year, so the family could come over and see their new place. The kids had fun being silly and playing on the stairs.

Just being silly with my pretty girl.

Happy St. Patrick's Day!

I love holidays. They're all awesome, no matter how big or small. I love when Katie's school has dress down days for them too =) I got both girls dressed up in green today, and even gave Katie a few green necklaces to be fancy at school today. She even wore rainbow earrings. She was totally stylin' for the holiday. I wish I could afford to celebrate all holidays in a big way, but for now, I'll do what I can. For dinner I made corned beef, because well, you have to, it's St. Patrick's Day. I put it in the crock pot and the house was smelling delicious. I did not make cabbage, because David said cabbage is so gross, don't make that. But I did make baked potatoes with it haha. I even bought David a really cool cup to surprise him with for the holiday! And we bought green food coloring after school, and had green milk and green beer with dinner. So much fun! =)

GS St. Patrick's Party

Tonight the theme was green at Katie's Girl Scout meeting, in honor of St. Patrick's Day tomrorow. They made a cute Leprechaun craft and ate all things green for snack- grapes, snap peas, celery, and green cookies ;) Cute idea, the girls enjoyed it.

Bunny Friend

While Emma and I were out doing errands, David and Katie found a bunny in our backyard! He was just hanging out there, sitting in the nice cold grass, haha. He's been back several times now, we're not sure if he's someone's pet that got away or what, but he keeps finding his way back in our yard. My Mom wants me to tell Katie it's the Easter Bunny checking up on her, haha. It IS almost Easter, it could be! ;p

Michael's Birthday

We celebrated Michael's birthday at his house. The kids played with each other, the adults talked to each other and watched tv. He got a lot of Boston Red Sox gifts, his favorite baseball team. Lynn had gone there previously, and bought a bunch of souvenirs from their shop =) Karli and Kelly made his cake, everyone liked it. Katie was being silly and Emma was just tagging along with everyone. It was a good day!

Girl Scout Cooking Class

I signed Katie up for a cooking class event the other girls in our troop were going to, but Emma wasn't allowed to come. It was down in LA, so I asked my Mom if she wanted to watch Emma or take Katie, and of course she wanted to take Katie, so I had to stay home =/ lol. It seemed really cool, they got tons of supplies that they were able to keep and take home, including an apron and baking dish and rolling pin and Silpat mat. They made strawberry rhubarb pie and it looked so fancy when Katie brought it home in a box to show me. When I let her taste it, she did not like it, but she did have fun making it. They rolled the dough out, adding the toppings, and had lots of fun. She even met one of the judges from Master Chef Jr. that we have coincidentally been watching during dinner together lately. So cool! I am super jealous, but I'm glad Katie had a great day. She's so special to me <3 br="">

Katie's BFF is 8

Katie was invited to Abby's birthday, her bff. The party was at Vince's Pizza and a lot of their classmates showed up. Emma tagged along too.

Abby wanted a Doc McStuffin's cake AND a horse cake, so her Mom combined the 2 for her.

The kids were given tokens, and I bought a few extra so Emma could play too, and of course I shared a few with Katie too. She was having fun and winning tickets. It's nice for her to be able to play with her friends outside of school. I had fun watching her. She's such a sweet girl.
