Katie's BFF is 8

Katie was invited to Abby's birthday, her bff. The party was at Vince's Pizza and a lot of their classmates showed up. Emma tagged along too.

Abby wanted a Doc McStuffin's cake AND a horse cake, so her Mom combined the 2 for her.

The kids were given tokens, and I bought a few extra so Emma could play too, and of course I shared a few with Katie too. She was having fun and winning tickets. It's nice for her to be able to play with her friends outside of school. I had fun watching her. She's such a sweet girl.

Penny Wars

It's time for the Penny Wars at Katie's school. She's been saving up pennies around the house for months now, waiting for this. Her school does it every year, and donates the money to a charity. The pennies go into our own classroom to give you points, and the silver coins are to sabotage the other classrooms. They get passes when they come to school in the morning, and are given 15 minutes to go to other rooms and sabotage them before class. Katie and Abby went together since they're in the same class.

Riley's Farm

Katie had the day off school, so my Mom planned a trip to Riley's Farm. The only problem was, since it wasn't a weekend, they didn't have many activities going on.We had lunch, which was super yummy and nice cold drinks in their cool mugs. Topped off with a cookie dessert, yum.
The kids walked around exploring, climbed trees, and posed for pictures :p
Apple picking was pretty cool when we found these handy dandy apple picking tools.
The girls just loved this secret clubhouse. They wanted to play in it all day.
When we ran out of things to do at Riley's, we headed over to a pumpkin patch we passed on the way. It looked so cool, a lot of neat rides and things to do there. The kids each got some tickets and were able to go  on some bounce houses and go-karts and things. We let them pick, mostly. We did have to stop them from spending $40 on just bounce houses and slides, lol.

Before we left the girls each picked a pumpkin to take home and carve =)
A nice way to spend a day off off school!

Happy 6th Kayle!

Katie was invited to Kayle's 6th Birthday at Drytown Water Park. It was a fun day hanging out with Katie's friends. Abby, her bestie, was also invited and came to swim. Katie had a lot of fun! Emma and I tagged along too, but thankfully we all had passes and were cheap to invite ;)

Emma isn't used to being at Drytown for more than an hour or two, so she got pretty wiped out and took a little nap on me, even through the Lazy River, she stayed asleep!
My Mom showed up later to swim with us, too. Fun day! Thankful for friends =) Katie loves having someone to play with. Emma just doesn't cut it for her yet, lol.

Abby's 7th Birthday

Katie was invited to her friend Abby's 7th birthday at Lazy T Ranch. It was a really fun party for all the kids.
They had a lot of neat things for the kids to do. Little handmade rides and things.

Towards the end of the party, each kid got a turn going around the track on a horse. My little stinker got so excited and said "I've never been on a horse before!!" when she very much HAS! lol. Oh well =/ So much for all that money I spent on each horse ride she's ever been on, lol.
The party was really fun, the kids really liked it. I had to leave just a little bit early, since we had Michael's birthday right after. I'm glad Katie had a good time with her friends =)

Happy Birthday Abby!

My coworker Maria invited us to her daughter, Abby's, birthday. It was at Build-A-Bear over in Downtown Disney. Katie was excited to see her teacher there when we arrived. Maria is friends with Ms. Ferguson and her sister. Katie was a little bummed that she had to get the plain white bear that they gave to all the kids, but she got over it soon enough. Each kid was given a white bear to stuff, and was able to pick 1 accessory that was $5 or less.

Katie picked a shirt for her bear that said "Happy Birthday."
After Build-A-Bear, we all walked over to a sandwich place to eat. With a stop to see the parrot first.

Happy Birthday Abigail! I hope you had a fun birthday! Since we was the birthday girl, she was able to get a flower bear =) Katie was a little jealous. I had to explain to her, that it was Abby's special day, not hers.
We separated from the group after that, everyone went their own way. I took Katie over to the Lego store to look around. She played with the Legos they had set up in the store for the kids to use.
Made a car to race outside.
Since they didn't do cake for Abby's birthday, I took Katie to get ice cream. She picked the kid's sundae that let her pick 2 toppings. She chose gummy bears and sprinkles :p
I love the after pictures, where the kids are knocked out in the car :p

What A Great Day!

Today is the day! Katie has a doctor's appointment to check her cast and hopefully take it off! AND, Disneyland tonight, for the Halloween Event! We brought Abby so Katie could have a friend to go with her. They took the day off school since we had to go to the doctor first before Disneyland. But first, hours of waiting to be called =/ My Mom brought her Kindle Fire and I loaded YouTube on my phone so they could watch cartoons, but they still got bored =/
 YES!!!!!!!!!!!
Goodbye stinky ol' cast! Good riddance!
Katie deserves a treat for her special day of getting her cast off! When we got to Disneyland for Mickey's Halloween Party, I treated the girls. They picked a Mickey Marshmallow Pop.
After the girls ate their snack, we changed them into their costumes. Abby was Belle and Katie picked Blueberry Muffin.
Racing the cars they built in front of the Lego store.
 Time to go inside!
We went on a few rides, took pictures with some characters.
For dinner the kids ate turkey sandwiches, apples, and carrots, with chocolate milk.
And for dessert, lots of candy was eaten.

Before we left, I let the girls each choose 1 toy (under $20). Abby chose Bolt.
Katie wanted Scully. She loves Jake and the Neverland Pirates.
I had a fun night at Disneyland with the girls and my Mom, and I am soooo happy Katie's cast is finally off =) Yay!!
