Mickey's Halloween Party 2013

Our tradition continues! Another year at Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party. This was Emma's first time at Disneyland. I was in a hard position this year. I wanted to take Katie so bad. She deserves to be able to go have a fun night. But Emma is so little...I decided to just go for it, and boy, was it a lot of work! She doesn't like to be in the stroller, she likes to be held. All day. So I held her. All day. This year Katie went as Sophia the First and Emma was Snow White.

I was really happy that my Grandma came with us for the first time ever!
Lauryn's my girl, I'm always happy when she goes with me ;)
My beautiful Princess Sophia in line for Pirates!

Poor little Emma threw up for the 2nd time in her life today, so I had to go buy her a new outfit. I can't believe I didn't pack an extra =/ I guess I was too busy getting ready for the night. She looks super cute in her new Minnie outfit though =)
Katie had a great night, I'm so glad. I had a hard time with Emma being hungry and wanting to be held, and having to change her, etc. lol. Next year will be better!!!

What A Great Day!

Today is the day! Katie has a doctor's appointment to check her cast and hopefully take it off! AND, Disneyland tonight, for the Halloween Event! We brought Abby so Katie could have a friend to go with her. They took the day off school since we had to go to the doctor first before Disneyland. But first, hours of waiting to be called =/ My Mom brought her Kindle Fire and I loaded YouTube on my phone so they could watch cartoons, but they still got bored =/
 YES!!!!!!!!!!!
Goodbye stinky ol' cast! Good riddance!
Katie deserves a treat for her special day of getting her cast off! When we got to Disneyland for Mickey's Halloween Party, I treated the girls. They picked a Mickey Marshmallow Pop.
After the girls ate their snack, we changed them into their costumes. Abby was Belle and Katie picked Blueberry Muffin.
Racing the cars they built in front of the Lego store.
 Time to go inside!
We went on a few rides, took pictures with some characters.
For dinner the kids ate turkey sandwiches, apples, and carrots, with chocolate milk.
And for dessert, lots of candy was eaten.

Before we left, I let the girls each choose 1 toy (under $20). Abby chose Bolt.
Katie wanted Scully. She loves Jake and the Neverland Pirates.
I had a fun night at Disneyland with the girls and my Mom, and I am soooo happy Katie's cast is finally off =) Yay!!

Mickey's Halloween Party!

Mickey's Halloween Party is becoming our new tradition. It is always so much fun, every year we want to go again. This year Sam and Mary came with us. Sam dressed as Thomas the Train and Katie dressed as Strawberry Shortcake. She loves Strawberry Shortcake right now. She has almost every movie, her collection keeps growing each time we go to the store since they're usually not more than $10. This year the event was in Disneyland. I think the first time we came, it was in California Adventure.

I love that the rides are all available, even though we're technically there to trick-or-treat. I also love that the park closes early at 8 for everyone there for a normal day's admission. It's nice when the crowd goes home for the night and we're only left with those who are there for the Halloween Party until closing time.

I also love that they give good chocolate candy (as in, not the cheap kind like Smarties and Lemon Heads lol), that you know will be safe for your kids to eat.

 We found Phineas and Ferb!
The cutest Strawberry Shortcake I've ever seen.
Time to end the night with some apple juice. Trick-or-treating takes a lot of energy!
It was such a good day. What day at Disneyland isn't though, right?! I can't wait to go again next year! I love being able to take Katie places. I hope she gets to have fun experiences and go everywhere there is to go. I love finding fun things to do with her. I love her so much.

Thanks for reading my blog!
