Goodbye Katherine =(

The time has come for Katherine to go back to Washington to be with her husband =( He'll be off the ship soon, and I won't get to see her for months and months and months, and she's pregnant, and I won't get to meet her new baby until she comes back down here. Sad.

 We wanted one more girls night before she had to leave, so we went to her house to pretend to watch a movie again, while we really just talk the whole time, haha. I brought my tripod and remote, and made them take pictures with me before they left. I took a million! She told me no more! I didn't listen. It was fun =)

Chucks Is Better With A Friend

For Jaren's birthday, Rachel and I took Katie and Jaren to Chuck E. Cheese after work. They were so funny. When we got there, they started rocking out while waiting for the pizza to cook.

 Then they moved on to slow dancing, Jaren even spun her around, it was too cute.

 "Mom, I ate all my pizza, can I go play now?"

Katie's Princess Scentsy

When we got home today, there was a package for Katie. Desiree sent her a pretty Scentsy for her bedroom, and pretty scents to go with it. Now she can sleep at night with the room smelling pretty =)

 I was happy to see the bow holder I ordered came in today too. Now we can pick which one we want everyday a little easier. Except I don't think it's big enough, she has a lot of bows!

Jaren Is 5

Katie's friend Jaren celebrated his birthday at school today. Miss Rachel even bought him a cute personalized shirt to wear =) And his Mom had the neat idea to put cupcakes in a Thomas the Train cup, to help keep the mess contained for the teacher!

Steven's Birthday

Katie and I spent the day at school, and then went to Black Angus for Steven's birthday dinner.

 I'm not quite sure what these silly girls were up to, but they sure had fun doing it.

My Shining Star

For the last day of Katie's Star of the Week, we bought pizza for her class for lunch. Since tomorrow is St. Patrick's Day, Katie wore her special St. Patrick's Day outfit.

Michael's Birthday Dinner

For David's brother's birthday, we went to have dinner at Claim Jumper. He got a special cupcake for dessert for his birthday. Afterwards, we went to Christy and Bobby's for presents and cake =)

Rainbow Cupcakes!

Since Katie's Star of the Week lunch just happened to land on the Friday before St. Patrick's Day, we made rainbow cupcakes for dessert. I've made these before, a few years back, so I knew what to do. They're really cool and pretty, just makes for a lot of dirty dishes to clean afterwards.

Katie and I went to Party City together, to pick plates and things for her Star Lunch, and she chose Mickey Mouse. Came out pretty cute I think!

Overtime At Work

So, my boss asked me if I could work overtime, at a Parent's Night Out event on the main campus because they were short staffed. That means I worked from 9am-9pm, if you're wondering. With a 30 minute break to drive over there. Yikes! I felt terrible about making Katie go from school, to a daycare type setting, but then I got to stay with her all night =) Everyone had Costco pizza for dinner, including the workers, and then the kids were able to play board games, watch a movie on a big projection screen, or play in the gymnastics center. Katie had a lot of fun swinging on the rings and jumping into the foam pit, so it helped me feel not AS bad as I was about dragging her along with me. She had a really fun night =)

Star Of The Week

Katie was chosen for Star of the Week at school. On Friday she was sent home with a paper telling me about how they celebrate it. She can bring a snack for the class any day, bring a share everyday, bring lunch, and hang up some pictures of herself. She chose to bring a snack to share, everyday! We went to the store together and bought some fishies, chocolate milk, orange juice, brownie bites, muffins, strawberries, just a few things that she could take to school with her and feel special since it's "her" snack she picked out for her friends.

A Mermaid Dream

Katie and I went to spend time together at Paint-A-Dream, because I feel like all we do is go to school/work all day long. We needed fun. She picked out a mermaid to paint, and it started off looking like Ariel with red hair. But then...Katie decided it needed more color. All over it. :p

My Mom ordered this for Katie's room. Katie loves to sing, she's great at it. Taylor Swift is my favorite, and these lyrics fit with Katie ;)

 I won't even tell you how hard it was to put this on though!! Especially so high, by myself! lol. There are a few parts that are crooked or messed up, but overall I think it came out really pretty =)
