Pirate Adventure Dinner, Buena Park

I have been wanting to take Katie to one of these dinner shows so bad now that she's older, and I found tickets to the Pirate Adventure on Groupon and thought it was the perfect time to go. I went a few years ago with my husband, but this was the first time any of the kids have gone. I asked my Mom if she wanted to go too, and she suggested inviting David since he's down visiting for the summer. We got there nice and early and waited for our color to be called in. We were on the blue team.
They handed out snacks while we waited, and then we went outside to walk around and take pictures until it was time to go in. The kids ate some carrots sticks and mac n' cheese cups that were being handed out. I bought flags in our team color for the kids to have and wave around during the show.

Since Emma is only 1, she had to sit on my lap and share my plate of food.
She took a sip of the soup, but we decided it wasn't for us :p I don't like soup too much.
This was our plate of food. Emma ate lots of the chicken, thankfully the servers came around after a few minutes and asked everyone if they wanted a second piece.
My Mom's vegetarian meals never look as good to me lol.
The dessert was my favorite, and I was sad I had to share with Emma. Luckily she mostly just wanted the ice cream, so I was eating the brownie :p
We won!! Go blue team!! We snuck a picture with the winner and the princess before meeting my Mom, Emma and David in the car. Katie really liked the show, I was so glad. She was so into it. Emma sat really nice too, she only got bored towards the end when it was almost over thankfully. Now I want to take them to Medieval Times soon, that one is not as fun to me, but I bet they would like watching the jousting.
Of COURSE they had to get a toy. And of course Emma wanted the same thing as Katie. I love these girls so very much. Life is good.

My Little Baby Girl

It's my baby's birthday today. My sweet little girl, my first born kid. She is now 8 years old. It's going by too fast, and yet it seems like she's still so little to me. She is stubborn and can drive me crazy, we argue almost every morning getting ready for school over clothes and hair, but she's my baby. She's my fun, silly, smart, beautiful, hyper, imaginative, curious, sweet, kind hearted, wonderful, amazing girl. I love spending time with her, I miss her all the time, even though we live together. I miss my alone time with her that we had for years, it's hard for me to accept the fact that our family will only continue to grow and that I need to share my time with everyone in the house. I am so excited to continue watching her grow up and to see the girl she is going to be. She has my heart forever.
For her birthday, we are planning a party next weekend, but I wanted to do something special for her actual birthday too, so we took Hannah and Madison to Sky High Sports with us so they can have a fun day together. I paid for them to play for 90 minutes. They jumped on the trampolines, they jumped into the soft blocks, Katie swung from the rope, they did the hoola hoops, they went inside a hurricane simulator, they wore themselves out! We rested afterwards with a pizza and Dippin' Dots ice cream before heading home. Since David wasn't able to come with us because of work, we went out to dinner to celebrate as a family. Katie chose Olive Garden, so that's where we went. I wanted to order her a cake and have them sing Happy Birthday to her, but David talked her into getting Cold Stone after instead. Stinkers. I hope she had a great day today, because she totally deserves it. She is my favorite 8 year old and I can't wait to spend the next year with her. I want the best for her in everything she does, she'll always be my baby girl.

Jennifer's Birthday

We made the drive to celebrate Jennifer's birthday at her condo. She had it decorated with balloons and stuff this time, and some of her friends were there as well. The kids just loved the balloons, I think there were almost none left on the wall after it was over. They were a big hit and they played with them all night. The only problem with my kids having so much at birthdays, is that they never eat and are always hungry when we get home =/ I keep harassing them about it, but they just get so distracted. At least they're bonding with their cousins!

Chicken Leg

I made drumsticks for dinner, even though I don't care for them, because I know that David and the kids do. Emma ate 2! haha. I made myself a sandwich for dinner instead, I don't like bones in my food lol. I like that we eat dinner together every night at the table like people used to, it's nice family time.

Steven's Birthday

Jennifer and her husband Preston just recently bought a condo, so they hosted Steven's birthday this year, so the family could come over and see their new place. The kids had fun being silly and playing on the stairs.

Just being silly with my pretty girl.

Michael's Birthday

We celebrated Michael's birthday at his house. The kids played with each other, the adults talked to each other and watched tv. He got a lot of Boston Red Sox gifts, his favorite baseball team. Lynn had gone there previously, and bought a bunch of souvenirs from their shop =) Karli and Kelly made his cake, everyone liked it. Katie was being silly and Emma was just tagging along with everyone. It was a good day!

Daddy's 29th Birthday

David turned 29 this year! He's almost to the big 3-0. We had dinner at our house for his family. I made pulled pork sandwiches and had chips and birthday cake. It was calm and relaxing, watching the kids play with their toys and just hanging out on the couch. Katie likes when Annabelle comes over to play with her, so she had fun. She just didn't like sharing her attention with Emma haha. It's hard for everyone to play together and get along. Hopefully Zoey and Emma will play as they get older.

Happy 12th

Karli had her 12th birthday today. She got so many clothes, she'll be dressed nicely for a while. It's funny how they go from wanting toys to clothes as they get older. Katie's not into clothes too much yet, she just wants to be comfortable.

It seemed like she liked everything =)

It's so fun watching the kids grow up. Next year Karli will be a teenager, hard to believe. I met her when she was just 4 years old.

Thanks for reading my blog!
