100 Days Of Kindergarten

Katie's school celebrated the one hundredth day of school. She even had a project to do, 100 of something on the paper the teacher sent home. My Mom thought of this creative idea.
I found special bows for her on Etsy.

10 teachers were given bundles of 10 balloons each.
Katie's class made hats and masks for the event.
They had a small parade around some of the classrooms.
 Zero the Hero showed up.
At the end of the celebration, the balloons (10 bundles of 10) were released into the air.

Katie was super excited. I'm glad it was early enough for me to go too! Even my Mom came. Katie gets excited when I come. I wasn't able to make it to the pajama Valentine party this year, and she was sad about it. She told me the other Moms were there, but she couldn't see me =/ I had to be at work early for my class' party =/

Zoo With Daddy

Normally, I refuse to go to the LA Zoo. I prefer Santa Barbara Zoo. But, LA is closer, and we wanted to take Katie somewhere for the day, so...we gave it another try.

Katie said she needed a rest.

Rest time.
And again.

Snack time is the best time ;-)
It was a nice day out. Apparently, there is a big difference between the LA zoo in the summer, and in the winter. It was much nicer when it wasn't 90+ degrees out!

Valentine Pup

David had school on Valentine's Day, so Katie and I made a girls night instead. After work I took her to Build-A-Bear in the skirt Gee Gee made for her.
There were a lot of tough decisions.
But she ended up with a dog.

She took good care of her and bought her a pretty Valentine outfit with wings. It was a nice night out together, but we were both tired from being at school and work all day.
On our way home we stopped by Grandma's house to give her the chocolates Katie picked out for her.

The Color Run!

My Mom and I bought tickets for The Color Run 5k. It was over at the Dodger's stadium. We got there early to get our shirts and color packets that come with the tickets. Katie was free =) She didn't get a shirt though, so I ran out and bought her one last week, so she could have a white one that I wouldn't care if it got colored all over today. We brought a stroller for Katie, just in case.
All of our packets came with 2 tattoos. I used mine for Katie's cheek and then my cheek =)

Every packet comes with 1 color pouch, to be used at the end of the race for the big color party.

The first area was blue, we got attacked with powder and I became scared for my camera!

Katie was having so much fun collecting color all over herself!

Katie's throwing my packet of color at me =/ lol
Next time I will buy us jogging pants (or shorts for Katie) because we will for sure go again if they have one again, it was so much fun. Katie had a blast!
The after party, they counted down, and everyone who had just finished, threw their color packets up.
You know it's fun when your kid is tired afterwards! =)
We were able to finish in about 45 minutes, walking. Not too bad at all. The colors make you want to keep going, to get to the next area, haha. Makes you forget you're exercising :p

Thanks for reading my blog!
