Color Vibe 2015

This was our first event of the new year. We bought tickets a few months ago. Only because it was right here in Palmdale, not because we're addicted or they're so much fun. I mean, they are fun, but this is like our 3rd or 4th one, so, losing excitement haha. The kids had fun though, besides Emma, who did not care for the color on her at all. I stopped going through after I saw that she didn't like it. The older girls liked it though :p

Fun morning out with family! =)

Color Me Rad

When something like the Color Me Rad 5k comes into your small town, you go! Most of my family bought tickets and we all went together.
I picked up this cool Color Blaster for Katie the day before, at packet pick-up.
Mary ran the whole thing with Madison instead of walking with us. She was very proud of herself.
I had fun walking with everyone and taking cool colorful pictures =)
They had a few cute signs to take pictures by.

This chick gets heavy! :p
It's true. We pretty much have been rad since forever.
The kids had so much fun! They got very colorful and got lots of energy out!
These 5k's are so much fun and totally worth the money, when they have that little extra, like bubbles or color packets. I am not one to do a regular 5k, it bores me to pay $30+ to walk the street like I could any day, but when they allow the kids to play and have fun, it's worth it =)
So glad that it was in Lancaster this time, so we didn't have to drive far! It made it that much better!

The Bubble Run

My friend Katherine went to the Bubble Run and posted pictures on Facebook. It looked really cool, so I waited patiently for it to come to a city near me. It finally came to Pomona. I got some of my family to go with me =) I ended up taking Emma too, since she's so hard for anyone to watch. I just couldn't put David through the misery for more than 4 hours. We got there and had to get our shirts and race numbers and everything. Then waited in line for our wave to start.
It was getting really boringgg waiting in line, but we lived. Mary carried Katie most of the way on her back!
My Mom started out carrying Emma for a little bit, who was also dressed in white to participate :p (Don't worry, we didn't take her through the bubbles! We took turns going through while the other held her outside of the bubbles!)
Time to go walk!

I cheated and stayed to the sides so I wasn't completely under the bubbles, but my Mom and Mary went through the tall middle and said they couldn't breathe there were so many bubbles and foam hahaha.
Emma slept through some of it lol.

It was so much fun, this 5k was even better than The Color Run. The bubbles were hilarious. We all had so much fun! I'm so thankful to be able to do fun things with my kids and to have my family go too was extra nice =) Especially thankful for my Grandma who has been going on a few more trips with us recently. I hope this comes closer to town one day, I would do it again! =)

The Color Run!

My Mom and I bought tickets for The Color Run 5k. It was over at the Dodger's stadium. We got there early to get our shirts and color packets that come with the tickets. Katie was free =) She didn't get a shirt though, so I ran out and bought her one last week, so she could have a white one that I wouldn't care if it got colored all over today. We brought a stroller for Katie, just in case.
All of our packets came with 2 tattoos. I used mine for Katie's cheek and then my cheek =)

Every packet comes with 1 color pouch, to be used at the end of the race for the big color party.

The first area was blue, we got attacked with powder and I became scared for my camera!

Katie was having so much fun collecting color all over herself!

Katie's throwing my packet of color at me =/ lol
Next time I will buy us jogging pants (or shorts for Katie) because we will for sure go again if they have one again, it was so much fun. Katie had a blast!
The after party, they counted down, and everyone who had just finished, threw their color packets up.
You know it's fun when your kid is tired afterwards! =)
We were able to finish in about 45 minutes, walking. Not too bad at all. The colors make you want to keep going, to get to the next area, haha. Makes you forget you're exercising :p

Thanks for reading my blog!
