Wednesday Night Movie Night

Another summer Wednesday, another evening in the park. Movie, snow cone, cute kids, glow sticks. Just living the good life.

David's New Toy

David bought himself a new toy. He's currently obsessed with golf and goes with his friend Adam and brother Steven when he gets the chance. He wanted to work on his short distance putting I guess, so he bought himself a little indoor golf hole to practice on. He was teaching Katie how to play on it too. It's cool to see them spend time together and to see Katie grow old enough to be interested in our interests as well.
Emma was just hangin' haha.

Travis is 9!

A photo of my 19 soon to be 20 week old bump.
We went to Travis' birthday today at his house. They had the pool ready to go for the kids to play in, and the swing set too. Katie swam like a fishy all day, while Emma played on the swings and followed me around, like usual.

Little Audrey is so cute. Emma was interested in her today. She can't play just yet, but one day!
Currently obsessed with Nerf Guns.

I just hung out and followed kids around. Took photos. It was nice. I'm so glad they have cousins on both sides of the family to play with on holidays and birthdays.

Book Babies

I love that my kids love reading!! Took Katie to use her gift card today, and Emma really wanted a new book too, so why not encourage a child to read? The train table in the kid section is a life saver too, because Katie can take a while to pick a book (they're just all so good), and Emma gets to have fun playing while she waits.

Playing Is Rough

Play until you can't play anymore!!

But then sleep when you can't take it anymore.

It was a good day, even though I worked out my muscles spinning the kids at the park in the heat! But when the kids are overly tired, ain't nobody havin' a good time. Thank goodness for nap times and chilling with the tv for a bit after.

Nothing but cute little Emmie to show today. Love my kids so much!

All Boy!

Little Emma Riley is too short to reach the third floor of the Barbie Dollhouse, so she drags Katie's desk chair over to it, so she can play. Katie used to hide her favorite dolls up there that she didn't want Emma to find, and Emma finally caught on, haha.
Even though we already know our new baby is a boy, we got a good shot today, proving it at the ultrasound. Now I'll 100% I'm having a son haha.
We ended the night with dinner at Joe's Crab Shack. David's favorite restaurant. So worth the drive for him. The kids love the playground outside, so it's a win win! Tonight we got ice cream sandwiches for the girls for dessert, with toppings, yum!

Lights and Ice Cream

You can see our lights are back on, but that wasn't stopping Emma from hanging out in her tub some more.
The Internet said today is National Ice Cream Day, and me, loving every single holiday, decided to jump on board. The girls had ice cream cones for dessert after dinner =)

New Furniture For Me

My Mom made me this new table/dresser/piece for my living room. At first, I was like, why is it grey? In the picture she showed me I could have sworn it was white. All my other furniture in the house is white. I was stressing that it didn't match, and can she repaint it? But then I took a deep breath and let it go, and I'm getting used to it. It has lot of drawers which I need, I don't have much storage in this house. She even gave me the lamp on top of it. Pretty neat.
She also helped me hang the curtains I bought a few days ago. She was trimming them for me so they would be the right size, and made little ones for my small windows that I don't know what to do with. She even helped me put tint on the windows so the sun doesn't shine in our face while we watch tv. She's pretty awesome=) So my house got a little fixing up today, which is nice. I never feel like my house is decorated enough, it's so plain. But I am not good at interior design, so I'm so grateful when my Mom helps me out.
The new tint she brought over was much better than the previous one David had put up for us. So much easier and no wrinkles!!

At night the kids experienced what I think was their first blackout. We lost electricity for hours and the kids were growing bored at night. The wifi wasn't working, the tv wasn't turning on, the lights in their room were off, they were over it haha. Emma eventually fell asleep in her bathtub they were playing with, and I just let the girl be. She had a rough night.

Home Life

Enjoying lazy summer days, promising myself that I'll do more with them next summer when I'm not pregnant anymore, because I feel guilty for being tired and hot.

David laid on the floor, so the kids laid on him.

Toothless

Katie lost another tooth! She was excited. They're going and going these days, and Emma is a little jealous she doesn't get a visit from the Toothfairy yet. I told her one day she will have her turn though.
Mary gave Emma this bag because she loves it so much. Now she's carrying her toys around in it and taking it in the car with us when we go places. So cute.

We'll Miss You, Joe Joe

We had to say goodbye to Joe Joe today, and I'm glad the kids weren't able to fully understand what was going on, because it's too hard seeing them heartbroken. Desiree's son David who is the oldest of all the great grandkids, knew what was going on and was really sad when he found out. It's hard on them. My Grandma rented out a room at Grace Chapel and they did a nice service for him and had refreshments after. My little dolls dressed in their black and sat with their cousins, oblivious and hanging out together. My poor Grandma. I pray that she will be okay. I love her.

I had tickets to Daniel Tosh with David, a comedian that I had bought months prior. Everyone assured me that I should go and that it wasn't heartless like I kept feeling guilt for. So my Mom watched my daughters and David and I drove out of town. It was a funny show. Poor taste, he makes awfully offensive jokes, but I'm not easily offended, and David really likes him. I like being able to do things with David that he enjoys, he doesn't get to do much for himself with us. Usually if he goes anywhere with us, it's a kid trip of course. That's the trouble of having kids I suppose :p

Thanks for reading my blog!
