For my Mother-in-Law's birthday, we celebrated at her house with dinner and cake!

Meet The Teacher, First Grade

Every year Katie's school does a Meet the Teacher event where you can go visit your new class and see your new desk/cubby/etc. I barely got out of work in time to meet David and Katie. My boss kept me later on my last day to make sure the room would be ready for the first day of school on Tuesday. There was a lot of work to do, and since the other girl that worked with me didn't show up again, I got stuck with everything =/ But then I finally met up with them in time to go to her new classroom. Her new teacher is going to be Mrs. Ottaviano. I'm excited for her. She got the teacher that she wanted =) I can't believe how big she's getting. First grade! Ah!

My Baby Shower

My friend and co-worker Rachel was so super sweet enough to throw me a baby shower at work =) It was after work and Katie was allowed to come =) Other kids were there too, so she had people to play with. This is also my last week of work. I'm quitting the last day of the summer, so that when school starts back up in September with a fresh new class, they will have permanent teachers and not someone who is leaving in a few weeks :p I'm going to be able to stay home with the new baby, and I couldn't be happier! =) My boss Laura made me a cute diaper cake =)

 

 One of the games Rachel planned was to guess my due date! I have nicely decided to whack anyone on the head who wished me the evilness of going over my due date, lol. I'm hoping she comes sooner than later, I'm so anxious to meet her and be done with pregnancy. Now if only we can agree on a name for the poor girl. So far we are thinking Emma for a first name, but can't agree on a middle name. I want Riley and David wants Lee. Wish us luck!

Thank you to all my co-workers for showing up and for giving me so many wonderful presents for little Emma. I'm so excited to meet her. I am so thankful to have had the chance to meet these people and work with them and get to know them. The kids were a handful at times, the hours were horrible, but the people that worked with me and spend lunch talking to me, were the bright spot in the day. I'm going to miss them! =)

Katie's First Gymnastics Class

Katie wanted to join Gymnastics this year, so my Mom signed her up. Lets see how this goes! She really seemed to like her first class.

Leah's 4th Birthday

My (old) Co-worker, who just quit over the summer, was throwing a birthday party for her youngest daughter and invited us along =)

 Katie was so proud of herself for winning the jackpot and getting all these tickets!

 She ended up with 305, she was super excited.

Antelope Valley Fair 2013

A tradition I love to hate and hate to love. The AV Fair. I think I would love it way more if it weren't in August every year, it is always so hot out!! I went at night both times this year ;p Hannah was in a dance performance this year, so Katie and I tried our hardest to get there on time to see her, but we ended up just missing her =/ After work I had to rush home to pick up Katie and get her something to eat real quick, and apparently that took too much time =/ We were bummed, but we still were able to hang out with the girls when we got there. They got to see the animals, play with bubbles, play in the corn, make a dirt baby, and even watch the Mother Goose Magic Show. Pretty fun night with the kids.

Toward the end of the night I got Katie and snack and we headed home. The girls were going to go on rides, and since I already paid for Katie to go on the rides last week, I wasn't about to spend even more. Besides, I am getting more and more pregnant and more and more tired walking all day :p The baby is due in less than a month. Next year, she'll be going to the fair with us :p

26!

We celebrated my birthday at my Grandma's house. Very small, but fun. My Grandma and Desiree gave me Ticketmaster gift cards, I get to buy tickets to see The Pirate and Princess Show LIVE! So excited, Katie's going to love it! My Mom gave me a new camera lens for the baby, hopefully it takes nice pictures. The only thing driving me nuts so far is it doesn't zoom!! lol. Hard to remember to move myself instead of twisting the lens a bit to get a closer picture, lol. Thanks Mom!!

 And of course my favorite present, the beautiful card Katie made me =) She's so special and sweet. Love her to the moon. And thank you to David for taking her to the store to buy all the supplies she needed to make it :p

This is the very first year my Aunt Mary didn't come to my birthday, it was really sad. Hopefully next year she will come. We'll see. Other than that it was a nice night celebrating. I'm glad to have the people that came in my life.

Jennifer & Preston's Wedding

David's sister Jennifer is now Mrs. Reeves. She was married to her boyfriend Preston today. Well, technically today was just a reception. I think she actually got married a week or so ago. But she wanted a reception her whole family could attend and all the family photos. Katie was chosen to be one of the flower girls, so she dressed the part.

 Everything came out nice =)

 They had appetizers for everyone to snack on. David and I liked the macaroni cups! He kept making me put shrimp on my plate for him to steal from me =/

 Since there wasn't an actual ceremony, Katie and the other girls handed out candy to everyone.

 Being 36 weeks pregnant in heels was killer =/

It was pretty fun. I was going crazy trying to track Katie down every 5 minutes though. It was a big place and Katie kept running around with the kids. 

Congratulations Preston and Jennifer!! =) Your wedding was beautiful =)

AV Fair, 2014

I know the fair can be a hot and miserable place, but I seriously love going every year. I wish it wasn't in August, so the weather would be a little nicer, but I'll take it. I bought Katie a wristband on pre-sale for $20 and 3 tickets to get in. David was supposed to go with us, but then ditched at the last minute so I took my Mom instead. My friend Rachel went, too.

 The wristband came with 2 free games, pretty neat.

 Of course my Princess needs a snack.

 Katie wanted this dog sooooo bad. My fault for allowing her to pick one toy. I know better, they're all junk, lol. If you remember, last year she bought a unicorn like this dog. $8. lol. Oh well, she's happy with it. I was kind of bummed this year, Katie went on so many big rides last year, and this year she was too scared. She wouldn't even go on the big slide she went on 50 times in a row last year that she loved so much. Oh well, maybe next year!

I am due in 1 month! Exciting =)

The Baby's Crib

My Mom gave me the option of having a baby shower, or her buying me a crib. I took the crib and crib set ;) It finally all arrived. David painted the baby's room for me for our anniversary last month, it came out just like Katie's room =) Pretty! I love the crib set, so cute.

It's coming along nicely =) Now if only she had a name!! :p One day David and I will agree on one. One day.
