Blake's Army Graduation

We got up early to watch Blake's graduation. It was pretty neat. They did cool re-enactment scenes and sang for the audience.
Katie brought her iPad so she wasn't bored sitting there waiting for it to start. Good idea.
After the graduation, we went to a big museum to look around. Emma picked out a bear in the store. Katie got a magnet like me, but there wasn't much else in that store for kids.

We got professional pictures taken for the event, just a little dinky camera. But still cool for memories.
They didn't know what else to do with Blake, so they took him back to the peanut farm haha. Round 2!

After Jimmy Carter's town, we went to a museum my Mom sent us the link to. Supposed to be old fashioned colonial buildings and such. We went to try it out.

We also got a hay ride. It took us around the little museum.

No one else really liked the museum, but I thought it was cute, and was honestly so glad to be doing something outside the car. By the end of the night, I was grouchy, Blake was annoyed, we had been in the car for 70% of the day, it was getting old. We went to Waffle House for brunch and Chili's for an early dinner. We were all so full. Finally it was time to take Blake back and say goodbye, until he comes home after AIT. It was sad, but he's doing good out here, so we're happy for him. And now he gets his cell phone back, so he won't have to write letters anymore to talk to people :p

Blake's Family Day

We were finally able to see Blake. We got up super early and went to watch his morning exercises at 4:30 in the morning. We were so tired, especially due to the time change. Then it started raining. So glad we brought umbrellas!

Even though Blake wanted iHop for breakfast, Mary and my Grandma took us to eat at Cracker Barrel, lol. It was a nice breakfast.

They asked Blake what he wants to do with his afternoon off, and he said he wanted to go to the mall, so off we went. He was looking for a new phone case and things. We stopped to get ice cream for the kids, yum! The mall was big and spacious, but not many good stores in there, in my opinion.

Then we got back in the car and continued to drive forever and a day for the 2nd day in a row lol.
After dropping Blake off, we decided to cut into the watermelon. After I harassed them enough about us being in the car for over 5 hours a day, they finally stopped at a park so my kids could stretch their legs and play for a bit.
The biggest watermelon we've ever seen.
Everyone said it was the best one they'd ever have. Emma only wanted the black seeds from it, and after Googling, that was fine with me haha. But everyone else chomped down :p
It was nice for the kids to be able to play, we stayed for about an hour, it started raining again. It was nice though, we don't get a lot of rain in California.

Plains, GA

We woke up and  drove and drove and drove around all day long looking for something to do on our free day. My Mom texted us and told us about Plains, GA where Jimmy Carter grew up. It was literally the only thing we could find to do out there, without driving 2 hours to Atlanta, which none of the adults wanted to do (except me!!). So we went to see the peanut land, lol.

We found a big peanut to take photos with, and that was pretty much the highlight of our day, LOL. The little store also sold peanut butter ice cream and little things like that. It was cool for an hour, but that was our whole day, so kind of a bummer. We also went to a new fast food place (new to us) called Checkers. It was alright. My Grandma tried peach cobbler and did not care for it at all.

My poor kids were so bored driving around all day, hardly stopping or doing anything =/ They fell asleep in the car every day we were in Georgia =/

My Grandma found a Krispie Kreme while we were driving around, so we stopped there. They accidentally gave her 2 boxes of doughnuts because of a special that was going on, that she didn't participate in though, and she ran off so fast before they could realize she was only supposed to get one box. She ran away so fast she almost got into a strangers car, hahaha. We were cracking up at her.
They also stopped at Wal-Mart and bought pillow cases and stuff for the plane ride back. My Grandma accidentally bought a body pillow case though, hilarious. She was just buying anything.
Huge watermelons were being sold out of a truck, of course they wanted to try one.

Finally before bed, we all got ready to go in the covered hot tub they had downstairs, because it was raining and the pool probably would have been cold. When we got downstairs we realized the only thing covered was a picnic table. LOL. We all went back up and changed into our pj's. Funny, boring, long day.

Flying To Georgia

My family is going to visit Blake and to see him graduate from the Army boot camp. Lauryn, Mary, Grandma, me and the girls, and Blake's girlfriend are going. They booked our flight for 6am and made us leave Palmdale at 3am =/ I was so tired!! But we made it, and on time. It was my Grandma's first time flying, so she was so nervous. I get motion sickness, so I was nervous too. We stopped to get breakfast for the kids before boarding. After 5 long hours, we switched planes for the last 45 minutes to get to GA. What a long day!!

When we finally arrived in Atlanta and got the rental car and everything, we went to drive 2 hours to our hotel and then grab dinner. We were in a new city, new state, so of course we'd want to try something new, right? Well, we went to Olive Garden. Haha. Still good though :p

Due to the time change, my crazy family was up past midnight talking and laughing about how they couldn't sleep. Let me tell you how tired I was the next morning!!

Zoey Is 3!

We celebrated Zoey's 3rd birthday today. I can't believe how old she is! It was a nice small celebration at Bobby & Christy's house. Emma and Katie always have fun playing with them =)
Happy Birthday, Zoey! I hope being 3 is great!

Love My Family

I love my beautiful girls so much. I'm so thankful to have them in my life everyday.

The girls and I are going to Georgia for a week with some of my family, to see Blake graduate from the Army boot camp. David is actually going to miss us I think! He brought me home some flowers and some brownies and ice cream for the girls. He can be sweet sometimes. I love that man. We're going to miss him, too.

Emma's Mornings

Emma's been making herself warm and comfortable lately in the morning after we take Katie to school. She is too funny and cute.
