Welcome To Discovery Cube

We had to go to the dentist, yet again, for the last time. Katie was given her last filling this morning, a total of 4 altogether. Katie did really good and was brave, the dentist gave her a sticker book like he promised, and all was well. It was nice of Jennifer to get us in! Since we had to make the drive anyway, I googled and found somewhere fun to take the girls after the appointment. The tickets for Discovery Cube were on sale for $10/person, so I figured why not give it a try.
We stopped by the little kid area first, since it was right when we walked in the door. They had a Clifford set up, it was cute. The kids played on the slide and with the blocks and things.

There were a lot of different sections of the museum, but I think the grocery store was the favorite. The carts had little computer screens on it with a game to get ingredients for a party, picnic, etc based on calories, or healthiness, or economy. You push your cart around and beep the correct price tag. At the end you "checkout" and it tells you your score and if you pass the level. It was pretty cool. Very crowded, but pretty cool. We played many times lol.

Apparently it was lots of fun, because not long after leaving the parking lot, both of my kiddos were knocked out sleeping =) I'm glad they had a fun day. Hard to watch both at such different ages, because they both want to do their own things, but we managed and had a good time together. The only bad thing was the lunch. All healthy organic and not so tasty haha. Plus expensive.

Blake's Army Graduation

We got up early to watch Blake's graduation. It was pretty neat. They did cool re-enactment scenes and sang for the audience.
Katie brought her iPad so she wasn't bored sitting there waiting for it to start. Good idea.
After the graduation, we went to a big museum to look around. Emma picked out a bear in the store. Katie got a magnet like me, but there wasn't much else in that store for kids.

We got professional pictures taken for the event, just a little dinky camera. But still cool for memories.
They didn't know what else to do with Blake, so they took him back to the peanut farm haha. Round 2!

After Jimmy Carter's town, we went to a museum my Mom sent us the link to. Supposed to be old fashioned colonial buildings and such. We went to try it out.

We also got a hay ride. It took us around the little museum.

No one else really liked the museum, but I thought it was cute, and was honestly so glad to be doing something outside the car. By the end of the night, I was grouchy, Blake was annoyed, we had been in the car for 70% of the day, it was getting old. We went to Waffle House for brunch and Chili's for an early dinner. We were all so full. Finally it was time to take Blake back and say goodbye, until he comes home after AIT. It was sad, but he's doing good out here, so we're happy for him. And now he gets his cell phone back, so he won't have to write letters anymore to talk to people :p

Snowing At Kidspace 2014

My Mom and I had so much fun at Kidspace last year that we decided to take the kids again this year. The snow area they have is pretty cool, since we don't really get snow out here. My Mom had saved the snowball makers from last year so we could use them again and not have to buy more. They work pretty well.

I could not get Emma to stop eating the snow. She loves ice and water.

Katie really liked throwing snowballs at us.

We did other things too, like some science experiments they have set up all over outside, and the bug kitchen inside. Emma played in the water area for toddlers for a little bit. It was a nice day. I don't expect much when I come here, because I know there isn't too much to do, but it is nice for a few hours to let the kids have some fun. We really went for the snow, but enjoyed the other parts too.

Snow At Kidspace

We took the girls to Kidspace museum to play in the snow area they have there right now. It was really fun, Katie had a blast. Emma enjoyed being outside.

Cool science experiments.
Decorated a cookie with edible markers and paper :p

My Mom found snowball makers in the gift store. Sooo fun.

Super cool day there with the snow, glad they thought of this! The snow area wasn't as large as I imagined, but still awesome for the kids to play in. Katie thought it was hilarious to throw snow at my Mom and me, and Emma had so much excitement that she fell asleep on me :p

Easter Vacation, Day 2

When the girls woke up, they dressed in their matching outfits Gee Gee bought them.
Sam thought he was hilarious for letting his juice drip down his chin after taking a drink.
Bacon sandwiches for breakfast, but Katie just wanted the bacon :p
After we ate, we found a nearby park to take the kids to.

I don't even know how my family found this place, but we came across Tinkertown Museum and stopped to look around. Apparently it was on MTV before, but that sounds hard to believe. It's just a dinky little weird place, lol.

 A wall of bottles.
The kids were pressing buttons and watching the little figurines move.
 Candy snack!
They had a little spot where you could stick notes inside the bottles, trapping them inside forever :p

I'm a sucker for buying things based on looks/cool bottles. True story. Katie and I got matching bottles to drink ;p

When we got back to the Air Force base hotel, the kids played for a bit and colored Easter Eggs with their Grandma's while the parents went to the mall for an Orange Julius and to look in the Disney Store.

After this fun filled day, the kids were ready for BED! They took a good shower and got comfy to watch a little tv before knocking out.
