Fettuccine Alfredo Night

We went to David's Mom's/Dad's for dinner. His Mom is in town until Monday, and she usually cooks David his favorite- Fettuccine Alfredo with bacon bits- every time she's out here. At least for the past 3 times she has. He loves it so much, with extra grease lol. He was in the kitchen harassing her until it was finished, impatient to eat it. Katie was the life of the party as always. She likes having all the attention to herself. She was walking around and playing with Stewie from Family Guy. And crawling in and out of the table...she's a nut.
Katie ate a few bites of the food, but once she saw there was bread, she spit out her noodle and ate cheesy garlic bread instead. Then she asked for more, lol. She had a grape juice to wash it down, then she went back to playing. She found a box that had some laundry in it, and started pushing it around the house. Then her Uncle Bobby put her IN it and was pushing her around the house. She liked that a lot. I don't know how he got her out of there lol.
We ended the night watching Wow Wow Wubbzy with Katie. How lucky for us that it just happened to be coming on, haha. No one understood how she could possibly like the show. I guess Wubbzy is annoying....lol. I think it's cute. My favorite is the "kooky" character lol. Cracks me up. I like that Katie has a favorite show, it shows she's growing up. She will sit at the edge of her seat and watch the entire 30 minutes. She was actually getting mad at us when we were being too loud and she couldn't hear what kind of trouble Wubbzy got himself into, like he always does. It was a nice night, Katie had fun. Before we left she snuck a few bites of ice cream from David's Dad lol. I told her to say "thank you" and she said it nicely. She's adorable. I hope she learns manners fast. I don't want a wild, embarrassing, rude daughter when we go to people's houses lol :p

Copy Cat

I think Katie's been watching me too much, because she knew just what to do with the straightener lol. Don't worry, it wasn't even plugged in. But she is so funny. She must just watch everything I do, I better be careful haha.
A few hours later Katie fell asleep next to me on the couch, watching tv. She is so funny. I love the weird positions she falls asleep in sometimes. She didn't stay like this, I moved her to lay down after I snapped a picture lol. She's cute though :)

Thanksgiving With Snoopy & Family

For Thanksgiving, my Mom, Desiree, Katie, and I went to Knott's Berry Farm together. We left a little after 8 and got there at about 9:40. Traffic wasn't too bad. When we got there we dropped my Mom off at the front to get Desiree's ticket while we parked. My Mom and I got in free because she works for the county and they let you and a guest in for free if you go during these next few weeks. As soon as we got in, Desiree wanted to go on the new ride, Sierra Sidewinder. They do a new thing on that ride, where each car has a camera attached, and they video record you during the entire ride LOL. I covered that camera the whole time! How embarrassing if it recorded me! Haha.

When we got off the ride, we were starving and looking for a pretzel. Desiree and I got one with cheese, and Katie got some of each, of course. My Mom posed us by this trash can bear, pointing out the "bear" to Katie. It's supposed to suck your trash down the chute and say thanks, but he was broken :/
While waiting for Desiree and I to get our pretzels, Katie decided to walk all around this planter. She thought she was the coolest for actually going all around.
Katie wasn't able to get on too many rides, so we took her on as many as we could. She was scared of most of them, you could tell by her face, but she toughed it out and didn't cry, just grabbed my arm lightly. She was pretty brave for a 1 year old. I think they just kept flopping her stomach around and she just wasn't used to it.
She didn't like being up so high with the tummy flip flops. I was trying to show her Desiree and my Mom, trying to get her eyes to stop watering from fear lol.
This might have Katie's favorite ride. It was slow paced, and it had a steering wheel for her to play with, and horns. I think I would go CRAZY if I had to work here on this ride. All the kids immediately start honking their horns as soon as they get on this ride, and they don't stop until they're off lol. Katie couldn't reach the horn too well, so I tried to help her, but for the most part I think she liked steering.
Coming back from the circle :p
Katie also liked the Merry-Go-Round. She usually does though. She kept smiling and cheesing it up :)
She knows how to hold on and stay steady :)
Desiree was willing to take pictures of everyone on the horses except herself...haha :p
My Mom got stuck on a giraffe to be next to Katie.
The pose you always have to take at Knott's. I took one with Katie too, but I was blinking hard core, and there was no way to crop me out lol. Oh well.
After taking our "Knott's" picture, my Mom wanted a picture in front of the big Christmas tree they have set up there.
We thought it would be fun to take Katie on the Log Ride next, since she's big enough to go on now. It's pretty fun, I just hate getting wet at the end, so naturally Desiree and I put our hoods on so our hair didn't get wet haha. While waiting in line, Desiree bought an Icee for Katie to snack on, but I guess Katie was too cold or didn't like the flavor because she didn't eat much of it at all. Only about 2-3 sips. Desiree drank the rest though, she likes them :)
Katie wasn't too sure about this ride. It was very bumpy since I don't think it's on a track the whole time. It was decorated for Christmas though, and Katie liked looking at all the wooden characters inside. But when it was time to go down the big hill, Katie clutched me so tight. I finally had to turn her around to face me and let her hold on to me. Poor little girl. She might like it better next year lol.
Taking our hoods off :p
While my Mom was waiting for us to get on the ride, she went in search of the roasted corn she always gets there. They weren't ready yet, but along her way she saw that Santa was there, so when we got off the ride, she showed us where he was. Katie liked looking at Santa while other kids were taking pictures with him. But when it was her turn, she needed Mommy to hold her, or she would have run away from him.
She did like the candy cane he gave her though, and she slurped it up, making a mess on her face and hands. She also got a reindeer hat that she actually wore for a while.
Grandma, Mommy, and Katie
Waiting for the train to pass so we could go see Snoopy on Ice.
Katie's reaction to Snoopy on Ice. I think she liked it lol. She watched most of the show, clapping when everyone else did, and then ended up falling asleep on my Mom. After the show ended Katie stayed asleep the whole walk back to the car. And the whole car ride home. She must have been tired! We had to leave Knott's at 2 so that I could make it home in time to take Katie to go have dinner with David's family.
This is the table David fixed up for me, but still hasn't brought home, lol. They set their tables up for everyone to sit together and eat dinner. Pretty fancy.
Of course, to the girls, it was just a fun tent :p
The kids were playing with Legos for a while, while waiting for the food to be finished.
Katie's Aunt Jennifer brought presents for the kids. Katie got a doll and a ball. Karli and Travis got spinning tops I think.
She decided she liked the ball best, and spent some time throwing it all over the house lol.
Soon the kids found the spinning chair, and entertained themselves for a while on it. Karli was spinning them around pretty fast.
Katie loved it
Then Travis gave it a go, but it just didn't have the same affect for Katie...lol.
We ended the night with David and his brother's playing xbox, Katie playing with the girls, and David's Mom packing up leftovers for everyone to take home. David ate 80% of his as soon as we got home that night. Nerd. It was fun though, Katie had fun playing with her cousins. Thank you Lynn for cooking for everyone! That was a lot of work :p

Happy Thanksgiving!

A Little PreThanksgiving Dinner

We went to David's brother's house to have dinner and hang out. His Mom cooked for everyone, (rice with gravy) while everyone else was either playing pool, or watching tv. Katie was playing with Karli and Annabelle practically the whole night. I think she likes playing with the older girls, she had so much fun :) She also hung out in Travis' room when she found the drum set he has. Travis didn't mind, he just spent the night watching Peter Pan in his room. Katie also found a vaccuum in Karli's room to play with, and a hard hat that she just couldn't keep on her head lol. She is so silly :p It was relaxing. Lynn also brought surprises for all the kids. Karli and Annabelle got Tinkerbelle markers/stampers and Kate and Travis got a sippy cup. Katie got Santa, and Travis got a snowman. Katie wanted juice in hers immediately haha. I got her a cup and she slurped for the next few minutes. When it started getting late, Katie and I went home since we would be getting up early to go to Knott's the next morning. I'm glad Katie had fun :)

Playing the drums :)
Cheese!
Stay on! lol
Doing her part, cleaning up...haha

My Silly Water Fish

After I gave Katie a bath I put her in some sweats to be warm in the house, but she demanded her shirt off, so I too it off for her. A few minutes later, I go in the bathroom to brush my teeth and wash my face. Katie followed me in there, like always. And when I dried my face, what did I see? Katie crawling in the bathtub. I look at her get in and laugh. Then she sits down and gets all wet from the water remaining on the floor of the bath from when she took hers. She was not happy to realize she just got her clothes all wet and uncomfortable, lol :p

The Citadel Mall, Featuring Elliott Yamin

My Mom, Desiree, Dave Dave, Katie, and I went to the Citadel Mall as soon as Desiree got out of school. Elliott was going to be singing there, along with some Disney Channel girl from the movie Camp Rock.
At the end of the show, they were going to light up the big 90 foot Christmas tree. We left a few minutes after 2, and got there about 3:45. As soon as we got there we all went to the restroom real quick and went in search of something to eat, we were all starving. Unfortunately, the only place we could find close enough was a pretzel place. Desiree, David, and I got a pretzel with cheese, and Katie got half of mine. David and Katie also got their own Icee. They were happy campers for the moment.By this time it was about 4:25 and my Mom keeps searching for a better spot to stand. She sees people on a roof top and tries to find her way up, only to be told it's for a private party. So after all this, we go back to the spot we started at, but a few rows farther back now. We sit and wait for it to start. The kids are eating, but starting to get antsy. Desiree takes my Flip, and we don't see her again until Elliott is done performing...lol. She went up a little closer and left us behind, because we had the stroller and it was too hard to move through the crowd with it. Katie wanted out of the stroller, David wanted to dance with her, but Katie wanted to go solo. Since I'm not really an Elliott fan anyway, I didn't even stay for the first song. (I just went to get out and hang out with my family for the day.) I decided to take the kids to get some candy at the Chocolate Shoppe they had there. My plan was to just take David and bring Katie something back, but I guess she could tell I was getting ready to go somewhere, because she reached for me to pick her up..lol. So with Katie on my hip and David holding my hand tightly, we went through the crowd and tried to make our way through. Mean people at that mall, let me tell you lol. They were so pushy and unwilling to let anyone through. To top it off, the whole time I'm trying to get through the crowd, Katie keeps touching and grabbing people that we pass. Oh brother. I must have apologized to at least 10 people who turned to look at me after feeling Katie's touch :/ We finally get to the candy shop and David asks for a candy apple. They just happened to be giving out free samples of carmel apples, with chocolate covering. I gave one to David and one to Katie. Katie ate hers up. David took a bite then handed me his leftovers saying he didn't want it anymore. I looked down in my hand and see he licked the chocolate off and gave me back the apple...lol. So I thought, how about I DON'T buy him a $7 candy apple, so he can eat the chocolate off lol. I tell him to pick something else and he chooses very carefully for a few minutes. He picks a white chocolate covered pretzel about the size of his hand. We're about to go pay, when he changes his mind. He asks if he can have a small bag on the shelf. We make our way over, and see it's Christmas Tree & Candy Cane shaped white chocolate covered pretzels for $4. That's fine. I get a cookie for myself and we pay. I told David he needs to wait to eat his yummies until we get back to the stroller. We make our way through the crowd again. David hears Elliott singing "Wait For You" and says "Hey! My Mom has this song!" lol, I guess she's played it in the car a lot :p We finally get back to my Mom during the last song and the kids sit down and eat.
A few minutes later, Elliott goes off the stage and my Mom is ready to bolt and go home. We don't care about Demi, the Disney girl. Never heard of her, lol. So my Mom goes and gets Desiree and we try to get out of the crowd, with the huge stroller in tow, lol. Mean people! A man finally helps my Mom, he leads the way and makes sure we can get out of the crowd and to our car. People are trying to pass us and go ahead. Mean people there! We finally got to the car and we see that the car next to us is SO close, they HAD to have hit Desiree's car getting out. We didn't see any marks, but that was rude of them to park so close with their junky car, next to Desiree's nice one. I'm sure they wouldn't have cared if their car got a scratch, it was already trashy. Desiree is really upset by this and leaves a pretty mean note on the car and finds a water bottlea and throws water on it. LOL. What is water going to do? Clean the car? lol. Anyway, Desiree chickens out and takes her note off, and my mom leaves Katie's pee diaper on their trunk. My family is nuts. Then, getting settled in, we had trouble closing the double stroller. We couldn not figure out how to do it, and considered leaving the stroller in the parking lot and going home without it. I try one more time and finally get it. We stop by Carl's Jr. and get food on the way home. We see that the tree is now lit. We missed that part, I'm sure the kids would have been awed. But at least we beat the crowd out. It was nice to get out for the day, but I'm not sure I'll ever go back for the tree lighting, no matter who's performing. Way crowded!

Crossing Names Off My Christmas List

Mary, Blake, Dave Dave, Katie, and I went shopping at Toys R' Us today. She wanted to buy David a new toy that he has been wanting so much since seeing it on tv lol. She had the day off today, so we went. It was fun letting the kids play and look at all the toys. Mary bought Katie a cool new Mickey & Friends car car that she has been riding around. She loves the fact that it lights up and talks. She knows how to press the buttons and everything. Mary also bought her the Wow Wow Wubbzy DVD A Tale of Tails. Wubbzy is the only show she will sit and watch intently for the whole 30 minutes, she loves him. Thank you Auntie Mary, for Katie's new toys. I got David and Hannah's Christmas presents out of my way today too, so I'm glad about that :) Only a few more to go then I'm ready for Christmas! I hope they like what I got. David kind of picked his out, so I'm sure he will like his...haha. When we got home today Katie tried her car out all over the apartment. Then she fell asleep watching Wubbzy. It was a fun afternoon :)

He's picking out his Christmas presents from me lol
Looking at toys together
I had 50 cents on me, so I put Katie on this. She's been on a few before, but for some reason, she was kind of frightened by this one...lol. She wanted off!
Her new car. Excuse the cans, David recycles them and doesn't trust our neighbors enough to leave them on the patio lol. We have no where else to stick them :/

My Little Hiker

David and I took Katie walking on the horse trail for exercise. (Thanks for the cute Minnie outfit Auntie Mary.) The horse trail has some pretty big hills, so I thought maybe I should bring Katie's car, so she could enjoy being outside with us while we walked. When we got there, I decided to just let her walk around and have fun. She did good! She went up two really big hills. I was surprised. David and I made her hold our hands going down hill though, because I didn't want her to tumble and roll down lol. After going up the two hills, Katie must have gotten tired, because she made David and I carry her, so we turned around before we got too far out and would have to carry her for a long time to get back to the car. Besides, it was getting dark since it was 5, so it was getting hard to see too far in front of us. I think she had a good time though, and we want to take her more.

After we got home, Katie kept pulling at her ear and whining. I asked her if she wanted me to clean it, and I tried to clean it with a Q-Tip and when I finished she desperately asked for "more." She kept sticking her finger in her ear. I thought...maybe she has an ear ache, or ear infection, lets take her to the doctor tomorrow. After 10 more minutes of crying, I decided we needed to go right away, just in case. So David and I took her to Kaiser to make sure nothing was wrong. She was fine, I'm so glad. We didn't have to spend too much time waiting to be seen or anything. And while we were waiting, Katie was entertaining herself by walking around with me and looking at other babies. There was a table and chairs for kids there that she just HAD to sit on lol. She's a cute girl. She found the chalkboard they had and started drawing and erasing away. She is getting so much older, and it shows almost everyday, watching her do new things. I love it :)

Thanks for reading my blog!
