Dessert At Olive, Yum!

Lauryn, Oscar, Katie and I went to Olive Garden, and ate soooo much food we could barely handle it at the end of the night. I think we should have stopped before dessert. Too bad the pictures looked so good!

I love hanging out with these people. I always end up cracking up all night.

Learning To Sew

Today was my first sewing lesson with Lynn. We went to Wal-Mart to pick out fabric and a pattern. Katie picked out the butterfly fabric for the pillowcase dress we were going to make. Lynn packed my cart full of sewing scissors, pins, tape measure, etc.

We cut the fabric out in Katie's size and started sewing the pieces together.

It took 4-5 hours altogether for the first dress to be made. It came out pretty cute, Katie liked it.

We even finished it in time for Katie to be able to wear it to Olive Garden for dinner =)

Lynn's Birthday Dinner

Lynn's birthday dinner was done at Bobby's house this year.

Hopefully she liked all her presents.

The kids were anxious to help her open them and see what she got.

Taylor Has My Heart

Taylor Swift has the best concerts. In my opinion. I love them. So imagine how happy I was to be able to go again =) And this time with Lauryn coming with me. So super exciting.

We bought shirts and glow sticks. Me knowing full well, that as soon as I got home, my glow stick would be in Katie's hands and I'd never see it again. That's the price of being a parent though. I've accepted it. And hey, she'll have fun with it.

Desiree bought David a ticket too, since he knows most of the songs.

Such a great show.

While watching the show, I noticed that Emma Stone and Katherine Heigl were there too. Pretty cool dude.

Poor David doesn't usually last much longer than 8pm, so he was snoozing away before the concert was over. Desiree was lucky enough to hold him while he slept on her. Haha.

I had a great night, hope I can go again next time! Lauryn and I wore matching shirts "She is the best cousin, that's ever been mine." So cute. I hope she had as much fun as I did. Jason Mraz even came out and sang a song with Taylor. She usually has a guest singer. And of course we listened to her cd in the car.

Horse Trail Gone Long

My friend Laura said she would walk the horse trail with me today. She brought her daughter Emma in the stroller and off we went up the dirt hills. By the time we got to the end, she was so tired she did not want to go back the way we came and have to deal with the hills again, so she made us take a long way back to the car. By the time we got there it was so dark and we were so tired! Crazy girl! Haha. At least the night started off nice, and at least we got lots of exercise in! lol

For whatever reason, Emma loves chewing on her teething ring like this. I was cracking up.

Birthday #2

Every year David's Mom plans a birthday dinner for me with the Wonsers since David is away in the Army. She gave me a sewing machine and promised lessons! Lets see what I'll be able to do.

Happy Birthday to Me!

Desiree sent Katie a new outfit in the mail, so I dressed her in it for my birthday at my Mom's house. She's starting a taco tradition, we usually have them at her house every year on my birthday. Lots of olives!

These roller coasters the kids got are lasting a nice long time for them.

Katie's going through a phase where she wants to pass all the plates out to everyone. Mommy's little helper.

2 Dressed Up Princesses

Hannah came over to play with Katie and the two girls played dress up together. My Mom bought a bunch of random dresses at a yard sale for Katie one day and she has a few Disney Princess dresses, so they raided her playroom closet and found things to wear.

The girls headed to the living room and started dancing together. So cute.

A Quick Beginner's Photoshoot

My friend/co-worker Rachel said she would take some pictures of Katie over in Leona Valley, but then ended up having to go to a birth of a baby. Katie and I were already halfway there, so we just kept going and I took a few shots with my camera. I don't claim to be a professional, so don't judge my photos, haha. The water was so green, I was surprised. For whatever reason I thought it would be a little bit cleaner.

On the way home from the lake, I saw a patch of sunflowers so we made one more quick stop.

Since she did so good posing for me, we ended the day with a smoothie, yum!

The Big Dance Show

Katie's hair is fancy, her bow is in, her outfit is on, her tap shoes are laced, she's ready for her performance!

She performed at the Palmdale Playhouse.

My Mom, Grandma Lynn, and Bob came to watch her perform.

So proud of my princess!

Afterwards we went to Gee Gee's so Katie could see her cousins for a bit.

David brought his Legoman "friend" out to play too.

The Best Way To Play With Legos

We used the 2nd day of our pass to go to Legoland again, this time with Mary and little David. It was a lot of fun. So many rides, so many snacks.

Katie and I won the race!

This time my Mom brought Katie a bathing suit to change into for the water area.

Katie got her face painted and then the kids each picked out a toy.

It was such a fun day, I'm glad Katie can go on most of the rides now! She loves Legoland!
