Grandma's Birthday Dinner

We started the morning off at Drytown with Anthony's family, my Grandma, and my Mom and my kids. It was fun. The kids went around and around the lazy river with us. I don't like the kid playground, so I always hope they won't ask to go haha. I always get splashed in the face and the water is so shallow. But when they do ask, I go. It's always more fun when more people join us to swim.

My Mom made my Grandma's favorite cake for her birthday and we went over to celebrate together. It was a good night. It ended with the adults being crazy and driving around in Joe's motorized chair down the street. I think some had a little too much to drink, lol.

Our Lazy Day

After Emma and I dropped Katie off at school, we hung out and went to the store until it was time to get her again. I like this kid, she's so funny. At the end of the day, Katie made a fort and she and Emma watched Netflix in it on her iPad. Funny night, these kids crack me up. They snuck a bag of marshmallows in there for a snack. I let them be, they were being good and playing together nicely. While I was looking through my phone tonight, I noticed Emma had taken a few selfies of herself haha. She is too funny how she knows how to take pictures of herself now. She's learning new things everyday and it's so fun to watch. Love both my girls!

Trouble Girl

Emma is getting bigger. She is climbing up the pantry now =/ She used Katie's Cinderella stool from her vanity, to climb on the dog food container, to reach more things. Today she pulled her own straw out, and she was very excited. But I feel like I'm in trouble with this one, haha.

Last Day As A Cheerbear

Today was not only Katie's last day of cheer this year, but it's also her last day as a Cheer Bear. Next year, if she joins again, she'll be in the next higher level and will be a regular cheerleader I believe. She did so well on her final performance. She learned so much this year and I loved watching her. I was at every event they had this year, I am proud to say. I will support this girl for as long as I can, she's amazing. She was given a glow in the dark medal, and she thinks it's pretty cool. Love you Katie! Good job on completing the year! I hope you join again next year.

Memorial Day BBQ

Bobby invited us over for a bbq this weekend. Katie played with Annabelle, Emma played with Zoey and David and I chatted with the adults.  Zoey got a cool new car for her birthday and she was driving Emma around in it. It's a big one. Pretty cool, the kids had a blast on it.

Drytown Twice

I took the kids to Drytown again today. Just the 3 of us for an hour. Emma got her shades on and off we went. I bought both of the girls covered up bathing suits again this year, I really like them. They not only cover their bodies from peepers, lol, but also protects them from the sun. We ended the swim with Dippin' Dots, because my kids love ice cream! :p

Drytown Is Open

Katie always gets so excited when Drytown opens for the summer. I always try to take her on the first day it opens, if we're able. My Mom went too, and it was a lot of fun. We didn't stay too long, because Emma is so little and I'm scared of the kids getting burnt from being in the sun too long. We usually stay between an hour or two when we go. Afterwards we went to try the new pizza place Katie has been asking to go to, Pizza Rev. We each got our own pizza, except for Emma who shared a slice of mine. They're pretty good. Thin, but you get to pick all the toppings you want. Not that we pick a lot, since we're all pretty plain and simple LOL. Yogurtland next door is also new, so we tried that too! Ended the day and went home, Emma so tired she fell asleep on me. It was a long day, but we all had a great time.

There's A Fire In The Furnace

Katie's Spring Performance is There's a Fire in the Furnace. The Spring show is always only during chapel time, not at night, so it's not as big a deal as the Christmas one, but a lot of parents still try to show up. I've never missed one yet. They were all told to wear red, yellow, and orange to look like fire. It was very hard to find those colors in the spring, but we managed to snag a red shirt. Cute songs, the kids did good. After school we went to Barnes & Noble and the kids read some books. They were adorable laying next to each other.

Mustache Day

Katie has been having spirit week at school and today is Mustache Day. I knew she wouldn't go for wearing a mustache on her face or anything, so we improvised. Her school is not too strict, as long as she makes an effort. We found these stickers and she got very creative with it, and made faces on her shirt with them. So cute.

Gentle Barn With Daddy

We decided to have a family day, and by we, I mean, I decided to ask and partly drag David to the Gentle Barn with us. The prices were a lot higher than the last time I was here, it was way more set up with an official entrance and everything now. They are asking for a $10 donation, and it makes it feel like you have to pay it. I didn't pay for Emma, and I still felt guilty haha. But in my head, 2 and under is still free! :p The prices for the carrot bags went up too. Crazy. They used to be $1 but now they are $5 and a lot smaller. The kids got their carrots though, $10 later =/ We fed the horses, petted some animals and left about an hour and a half later. This is a fun place, but it's not somewhere you can spend hours at. On the way home we stopped at a small diner that we saw. Katie did not like her food though, the chicken strips had like, onion flavor or something on it. Cool family day. Glad we went.

Grandpa's Getting Older

We had a relaxing morning hanging out around the house. The kids were being silly, Emma made herself comfy on the coffee table and played with her turtle around the house. She's finally able to reach a little. After we went to Target to get a birthday card for David's Dad. So last minute I know, but things got away from me this week. The kids were being silly in the store playing with accessories. They're so cute. I love them both. Grandpa's birthday was held at Michael's house, it was a small get together. Emma and Audrey sort of played together, as in, they sat by each other for a while. lol. Cute watching them get older.

Chicken Leg

I made drumsticks for dinner, even though I don't care for them, because I know that David and the kids do. Emma ate 2! haha. I made myself a sandwich for dinner instead, I don't like bones in my food lol. I like that we eat dinner together every night at the table like people used to, it's nice family time.
