Gentle Barn With Daddy

We decided to have a family day, and by we, I mean, I decided to ask and partly drag David to the Gentle Barn with us. The prices were a lot higher than the last time I was here, it was way more set up with an official entrance and everything now. They are asking for a $10 donation, and it makes it feel like you have to pay it. I didn't pay for Emma, and I still felt guilty haha. But in my head, 2 and under is still free! :p The prices for the carrot bags went up too. Crazy. They used to be $1 but now they are $5 and a lot smaller. The kids got their carrots though, $10 later =/ We fed the horses, petted some animals and left about an hour and a half later. This is a fun place, but it's not somewhere you can spend hours at. On the way home we stopped at a small diner that we saw. Katie did not like her food though, the chicken strips had like, onion flavor or something on it. Cool family day. Glad we went.

A Gentle Day

Katie dressed as a veterinarian at the Gentle Barn. They had a small Fall Festival going on.
She decorated a bag when we got there. Now that I think of it, I'm not sure she ever put anything in that bag...
But it did come out cute =)

I bought her a bag of carrots to feed the horses. She was laughing so much when the horses tickled her hands.

 So true! Haha.

We needed a popcorn and juice snack break.
 Katie loves animals. So much.

The Gentle Barn is pretty fun for kids. I wish it were a little closer, but still, 30 minutes isn't bad. I would much rather go in the Fall than Summer though, that's for sure!! So many fun things to do this time of year. So glad I'm able to do them with Katie.

The Gentle Barn

We took Katie and Annabelle to the Gentle Barn to see the animals. It was a little hot out, but not too bad.
After we paid admission, we bought the girls a bag of carrots each, to feed to the horses.

After feeding the horses, we walked up the stairs to the other animals in the petting zoo area.
It was all going fine, until a turkey bit Katie =/ She cried for a little bit and then decided that was a mean turkey! She stayed away from him for the rest of the day.
Then, a horse ate Annabelle's sleeve! It was kind of funny, but I'm glad her jacket didn't get ruined! He was trying to snag the carrots in her hand, but missed.
They had an area set up where you took a picture hugging a cow, and then they gave you a bracelet saying "I hugged a cow at the Gentle Barn." Kind of neat. The girls both got one.
There's an empty well there, that I say is cute for pictures! :p

I had a fun time with the girls, I'm glad Bobby and Christy let us take Annabelle, Katie likes to have friends to play with when we go places. It was a fun afternoon.
