Jurassic Quest

So, I bought tickets for us to go to this Dinosaur event in Lancaster. It was supposed to be real cool, I saw it advertised on Facebook. I paid for David and I to get in, and then for a wristband for Katie to go on the rides. They had motorized dinosaurs, a fossil digging section, and bounce houses/slides. Even better, we ran into David's brother Bobby and his family, so Katie was able to play with Annabelle.
David read all the signs to her....lol.
 These girls <3 br="">
It was pretty neat in here for 15-20 minutes. Haha.

Katie ran into her friend from school, Athena. David and I spent the better part of the day getting Katie to stop ignoring Annabelle after this =/ Katie had a lot of fun though, so I'm glad for that. All she wanted to do was the bounce houses. She didn't even attempt to go on the motorized dinos, and I don't blame her, they looked as dinky as a quarter machine =/ They were for like, 2-3 year olds I would say. The older kids on them looked so bored.

We ended the day with Katie making art. Super cute.
It was a good day, but way too expensive for what they offered. I paid about $60 for the 3 of us (Emma was free of course) and it was cool, but I wouldn't go again, especially for that price. I would say it was worth $30 for all of us instead. Neat though, and Katie really liked it. Well, she liked the ride part. Haha.

Madison's 5th Birthday

These kids are growing up so fast. I can't believe Madison is already 5. The older girls will be 7 before I know it. They had a small party for her at Gee Gee's house. Lauryn, my Mom, and I came and helped her celebrate.

Katie made her a cute card. She's learning how to spell better each day, but still has trouble with big words like special. She sounds them out and then goes from there, haha. And she keeps putting her letters backward still. Especially p's and g's for some reason.

Madison picked out a Frozen cake.
We bought her the Lego game :p

Happy Birthday Madison! We love you so much! I wish you weren't scared of me, but I love you just the same. One day you will like me, mark my words! Haha.

100 Days of First Grade

Katie celebrated her 100 Days of School today. They walked in a parade and wore their hats they made. Emma and I stayed to celebrate with her.
Zero the Hero made an appearance too.
The kids thought it was sooo funny when one of the balloon bunches got tangled in the wires :p
The morning was nice, I can't believe school is more than halfway over! Katie is growing up tooo fast!! I love my smart girl! She gets A's in school and she does really well reading, and she's just so great. If only she didn't talk too much in class, she'd be absolutely perfect =)

5 Months

Emma is getting so big! She is a lot of work, but she's so dang adorable. We took her and Katie to the park so they could enjoy the nice day out =)

Emma was stuck with us, but Katie met a friend and took off to play (within my vision!) haha.
Emma is a wonderful little girl. I love her so much more each day she smiles at me. She's so funny, without meaning to be, haha. Her hair is getting lighter each month. I was really hoping her hair color would stay like mine, but she's adorable either way :p

Valentine's Day 2014

This was Emma's first Valentine's Day. Mary gave her this outfit, and my Grandma made her a new headband. We hung out at my Grandma's today, after we took Katie to school.

Later, I went to Katie's school party while David watched Emma. She was allowed to dress down if she wore a Valentine shirt, so I went to the store to find her one a few days ago. She will take any dress down day she can get! haha.
Her friends were talking my ear off the whole time I was there, haha. They were all showing off and wanting me to watch them do tricks.
 Katie's mailbox for her cards.
Mrs. Ottaviano made these snacks for the kids, cute.
The Valentines Katie passed out. Found the idea on Pinterest =)

 Katie and her bff Abby.
David and I took the girls out to dinner at Applebee's, Katie's current favorite restaurant.

Hope the girls had a nice day today =)

Daisy Valentine Party

Katie's troop had a Valentine's Day potluck at our weekly meeting. Katie wanted to bring her favorite frosted sugar cookies, so we went to the store to pick some out =)
She made me a beautiful Valentine Card.

She even earned some petals for her uniform today =) Proud of her!
The Girl Scouts is pretty cute and fun, I'm glad we joined =)

Valentine's Day Hike

My Mom planned a Valentine's Day hike for whoever wants to go from the family. She did a New Year's one as well, but I didn't go to that one. Everyone was told to wear red or pink for pictures during the hike. Almost everyone got car sick on the ride up and was so grateful to finally arrive. My Mom had told us it was 45 minutes away. I didn't remember it being that short, but she was pretty insistent. We were supposed to pack a lunch/snacks for the hike, but no one did besides my Mom. She packed some for Katie and me as well, but I think she ended up passing most of her things around to all the hungry people that didn't bring anything :p
I was glad my Grandma came with us. It's nice to have her on our trips =)

So thankful for my daughters. They're wonderful.

This is how most of our hike went. I'm not sure if she got car sick, or if it was just because it was her nap time, but goodness she was not happy. It was really hard with her. Plus, she's getting heavier, so carrying her for 2 miles was no easy task either. Thankfully Lauryn helped too.
Last time we went on the hike, we didn't get to go down below where the heart is. My Mom didn't think it was safe with the kids. This time, we did it anyway. It WAS tricky, and it was hard getting in there! But worth it when you get a picture out of it ;) Getting back out was a whole 'nother story! So funny trying not to slip in the wet gunk.
It was a pretty nice day, besides Emma's crankiness. We all dreaded the ride home though! I'm not sure we will ever willingly go back on that drive, haha.

Thanks for reading my blog!
