Neverland

I found these cool wall decals online for Katie's playroom so I ordered them to surprise her. Pretty bummed by how small they turned out, but I still like them. David was nice enough to put them up for me =)

Travis' 7th Birthday

Katie's cousin Travis turned 7 and had a party at his Dad's new house. Katie loves hammocks. She went right in it to lay and relax for a little bit.
They have a jacuzzi in their backyard, but I guess in the summer it has cold water, so the kids were able to swim.

Water balloon fight. Boys against girls!

Michael's new girlfriend Kelly made an awesome Minecraft cake with the kids for his party.

Katie always picks up only the candy she likes, so she never has much to show after. But, here is her cup, full of gum it seems. She's so cute.
And the biggest kid of all! :p Playing with Travis' new toys.

Toy Story Movie Night

A few years ago, Palmdale was offering free movies on the projector in the park during summer. They haven't done it since Katie was a newborn I believe. This year they started it up again, but are now charging $2 for adults, kids 12 and under are free. The movies they were showing weren't totally appropriate for a 6 year old (Hunger Games, The Avengers, etc.), so we only went to one. We could have went to see How to Train Your Dragon, but Katie doesn't really care for that movie and didn't want to. No biggie. This time, we went to see Toy Story, Katie's first time seeing it =) She's seen the 2nd and 3rd, but I've never showed her the 1st one, because I'm a weirdo and didn't want her seeing evil Sid torturing all the toys, lol. But now she's seen it and she liked it and it was tons of fun!
My Mom and coworkers went with me =) That means Katie had tons of kids to play with. I brought a coloring book and crayons, just in case, but turns out she didn't need them. they did however, eat up the licorice snacks I bought lol.
So many people came out! Love that they charged $2, to keep the crazies out, but still very afforable for everyone =) It was an awesome night.
Katie's friend Kayle from preschool joined us too.
 My co-workers.
Didn't really like that the movie didn't start til 8 when gates opened at 6:30, but since Katie was able to run around and play with all the kids, it wasn't too bad for me. Just didn't like how late it was when it was over. Still a great day all the same. Hope they do it again next summer!

Fruit Picnic

Katie has been asking me for a while if she could have a picnic, so I asked Ashleigh if she wanted to go to the park to have some snacks and play after I got off work. I cut up watermelon and brought juices for the kids to snack on, then they went to go play together. I LOVE getting off work early, let me just say that right now. I was sad to see my co-worker leave for her job as a nanny, but I am so thankful my boss allowed me to take over her hours and get off at 2 everyday. It is just so nice. Having time for Katie is the best ever. I'm finally home before dinner time =)

Camden's 1st Birthday

Christy invited Katie and me to Camden's first birthday, over in Tehachapi where her parents live. Rachel went too, of course! =)
Katie brought her swim suit so she could play in the pool with Jaren. They were splashing and having fun.

They were sledding down the dirt hill on sleds they had from winter. Looked fun. They're cute.

Cute party, Katie had so much fun. She is so silly, she kept changing back into her clothes, then back into her swim suit, then back to her clothes, swim suit, over and over again. Crazy girl couldn't make up her mind if she was done swimming for the day or not. Glad we were invited =)

Seal Beach, CA

David and I took Katie to the beach to boogie board and play in the water. We went to the very far end that I've never been to before, because it was so crazy crowded and there was no parking anywhere! It got windy fast, I didn't think the weather would be cold since it's July! Bummer. Still an awesome time though.

Katie is getting so good at the boogie board, she's awesome on it. She catches her wave and rides it all the way to the sand. I'm proud of this cute little girl. She's getting brave =)
There was a little restaurant there, so we ordered food before driving home. Just burgers and fries. Katie was cold so I had to give her my jacket, she looks so dang cute. I love her so very much. Super fun day with the family =)

Katie's New Comforter

Katie loves Sophia the First so much, so I went online and ordered her a new comforter for her room =) It came in the mail today so I set it up to surprise her. She loved it! So pretty, and still matches her walls and curtains =) It even came with a small matching pillow and blanket for her doll. So of course Peter Pan got the privilege!

Despicable Me 2

David and I took Katie to see Despicable Me 2. I loved the first one, and I loved this one, such cute movies. The cupcake shop in our town, Nadia Cakes, made cute Minion cupcakes for opening weekend of the movie. Wish it wasn't lemon flavored, but still so darn cute. Katie took one to my Mom and ate one for herself. But of course she also wanted to just TRY Grandma's too, lol.

Nadia Cakes now sells "pup cakes" too, so we bought the last one and gave half to each of the dogs. Too bad they didn't have more! =/ The chowed it down! Katie thought it was funny to give them a cupcake, haha. I love her.

Drytown at Sundown

I took Katie night swimming tonight. It was pretty fun. My Mom joined us and we went around the lazy river. Katie is getting so good at learning how to swim. It doesn't hurt that she can now reach the bottom and pretty much walk anyway :p

Katie, I love you forever and ever more than you will ever know <3 br="">

4th of July Swimming

My Mom found this cool campground to go to for the 4th. They let us pay $7 and hang out in their pools and bouncy and stuff. The kids had a lot of fun swimming. They thought they were so cool in the jacuzzi :p

After they got their fill of swim time, we headed over to Gee Gee's like we do every year for the 4th. The girls got dressed and played together until it got dark out so they could do fireworks.

The ice cream man drove by. Luckily we had cash!

It was a nice holiday. The girls had a blast and it was nice to have the day off work =) We get the 4th off every year =) Next year I'll have another daughter to dress up in red, white & blue =)

Thanks for reading my blog!
