Lucky One

Rachel wanted to go to the movies, so my Mom watched Katie for me after work so I could go with Rachel and Christy. We went to see The Lucky One. It was pretty cute. We also stopped by to take a picture of our favorite preview on the way in. Not really our favorite, but this darn preview has been in the last few movies we've gone to see together! We're tired of it :p

From Caterpillar To Butterfly

The day is here! My caterpillar is finally a butterfly! I took him from his new cage and let him go free outside today.

 Only one small problem. Wouldn't fly =/

 The kids kept trying to grab him up, so I tried to put him in a tree to keep him safe while he worked his way up to flying away.

 But he fell out =/

Finally after 20 mins of trying to keep the kids away, I just put it in the next playground's grass and left it to fly away. I think it finally started getting a few feet off the ground before we had to go inside. Pretty cool to watch it turn into a butterfly, but I guess I should have found out how long it takes them to fly afterwards, haha. Next time!

Welcome Zoey Eris!

My brother-in-law Bobby and his girlfriend Christy just had a beautiful baby girl. She came out premature and has to stay in the hospital for a few weeks =( Katie and I went to welcome her to the family, but since Katie isn't allowed inside, my Mom came and watcher her for me. I didn't get to see Zoey, but I was able to visit with Christy for a few minutes and bring her balloons.

 On the way home I drove by my Aunt Mary's house to see what all the fuss was about. Someone had written BLAZE in black letters on her brick wall, and my Aunt Becky is her neighbor so she had her husband paint over it for her. Now it's purple though =/ Sad someone did that to her brick wall, you can't really ever get that off. Hope she figures something out =/

Scootin' Around The Block

We went to Gee Gee's to visit, but then we ended up riding Katie's scooter around the neighborhood first. She had fun!

She's getting pretty good at riding her scooter. Only the little hills scare her a little, that's why she walks it instead. Or if the sidewalk is bumpy and uneven.

Spring Is In The Air

Our roses are finally growing back! Katie was excited =) It's a bummer when they all die in the Winter.

Hannah's Mighty Morphin' Birthday!

Hannah wanted a Power Ranger birthday this year. Ashleigh bought shirts for us to wear, to match the theme. So nice of her =)

 The kids brought their swim suits so they could play in the pool.

 My Grandma made these towels for the girls, they have a little spot to tuck your hands so you can keep it wrapped around you.

 Mary hired a balloonist. Katie picked Ariel.

 Mary also hired a face painter for the girls. I think the same one from Madison's birthday.

 They even gave the kids glittery tattoos.

 Katie just loves buying presents for people, she gets so excited when it's time to open the one she bought.

Crazy Hair Day At Learning Tree

Learning Tree's Jog-A-Thon

The Jog-A-Thon is a big event at Desert Christian, it's the only fundraiser where the total profit goes to the school. The kids run around 25 small laps, and get people to sponsor them and they win prizes. Katie earned enough money for a Mulligan's Pass thanks to my family and David's =) I invited some of mine and David's family to come watch her run, and Mary showed up with a sign that lights up and all! Super cute!

I couldn't find cute jogging gear, so Katie picked this at Target- Put Some Sole Into It. Haha.

The Cheer Bears came over from Main Campus to cheer us on.

Thankful Katie has my Mom, Grandma and Mary to support her in even the small school events. I love my family.

But the last few laps got to her. She was getting tired.

Afterwards my Mom stayed with Katie for the barbequed hot dog lunch, that Katie did not like because there were black spots on her hot dog =/ The kids each got a hot dog, cookies, chips, and juice though, so I think Katie was pretty happy with her junk food after running, lol.

In case you couldn't guess which day it was for Spirit Week, it was sports/athletic day ;p
