The AV Fair

An annual trip we always do! The AV fair. Thankful for the $1 tickets my husband always gets for us. The older kids all got wristbands and had a great time together. Emma was too short to do much so I bought her a pony ride and she hung out in the kid area a bit too, without rides. She always has a good spirit about everything. The older kids wristbands gave them two free games and they each got a prize. I always let them pick out a treat before we leave too. Mine usually end up picking out ice cream. Even shivering, they'll eat it. That's devotion.

Mall Morning

Whenever my friend Laura invites me to hang out, she always wants to go to the mall playground, haha. So I joined her today and we let the kids play together. Luckily I had quarters in my purse and some dollars so the kids were able to go on a few rides too. That's lucky, because I usually just have my debit card on me lol. They had a good time playing and I was able to catch up with my friend. It always makes me feel guilty when I do things in the morning without Katie, but I can't help that she has to go to school =/ When we got home, Katie and Emma were playing together and pushing Emma around in a shopping cart haha. They are so silly and cute together.

Girl Scout Pumpkin Patch

We had a Girl Scout outing at the pumpkin patch this week. The girls were given tickets to the petting zoo, and the parents had to pay if they wanted to do anything else. Of course they did. I forked over $20 just like the other Moms, and we let the girls play.

They each took turns carrying the poor bunny around ;p
They each played a game and won a prize.
Then we ended the night with a few rides and bouncy slides and headed home.
It's nice to be able to do something fun with the troop. A nice break from all the meetings.

Riley's Farm

Katie had the day off school, so my Mom planned a trip to Riley's Farm. The only problem was, since it wasn't a weekend, they didn't have many activities going on.We had lunch, which was super yummy and nice cold drinks in their cool mugs. Topped off with a cookie dessert, yum.
The kids walked around exploring, climbed trees, and posed for pictures :p
Apple picking was pretty cool when we found these handy dandy apple picking tools.
The girls just loved this secret clubhouse. They wanted to play in it all day.
When we ran out of things to do at Riley's, we headed over to a pumpkin patch we passed on the way. It looked so cool, a lot of neat rides and things to do there. The kids each got some tickets and were able to go  on some bounce houses and go-karts and things. We let them pick, mostly. We did have to stop them from spending $40 on just bounce houses and slides, lol.

Before we left the girls each picked a pumpkin to take home and carve =)
A nice way to spend a day off off school!

Adventure City

Katherine has been asking me to find something fun for us to do with the kids, and I am running out of ideas :p A flier came in the mail for Adventure City, and I thought the kids might like that. It's kind of far for us, but it's not too expensive and it was fun last time we went. When we got there, we were even given a military discount since Katherine's husband is in the service.

We even sat for a Magic Show, it was pretty cool. Lots of jokes for the kids. The only bad part- Katie is now a little too big for this place. There were only about 10 rides, and they weren't very entertaining for more than an hour or so for Katie. Katherine's daughters really liked the carousel and wanted to go on over and over. Katie wanted to ride the roller coaster and the other girls were too short to go on, so we had to split for a little while. Might not try this one again unless they get faster rides :p

Gilroy Gardens

We finally made it to Gilroy Gardens. A long way to drive, but it was pretty fun. It wasn't a huge amusement park, mostly just for kids. No roller coasters really. It was fun though. Apparently, the big thing about the city of Gilroy, is garlic. They are famous for it. They sell garlic ice cream, pickled garlic, purple garlic, all kinds of stuff around the town, and the mascot for the park was even a garlic. Too funny. The town smells good though, like spaghetti, haha.

Emma was able to go on a few rides, and I think she liked them. It was nice for me to be able to go on some, too. Obviously if she didn't go on, I didn't go on, lol. It was fine though, I'm glad Katie was able to have fun, and even had Sam to play with. She loves when friends are able to go places with us.

Girl Scouts At Knott's

The Girl Scouts used some of the cookie selling money to buy tickets for Knott's Berry Farm. Only 3 girls were able to make it to this event, but it was still a lot of fun. It was a pretty hot day, but not the worst. We went to look around the smaller rides first, and then hit up the roller coasters that the girls weren't too scared to go on :p My Mom got us to go watch the Mystery Lodge, haha. That thing is so boring to me, but it was nice to sit with Emma for a few minutes in the air conditioned room :p

Our last ride was the train where the robbers come. That ride always scared me, haha. The girls had fun with it though. Good thing they didn't have any money, haha.

I'm thankful we joined the Girl Scouts, it's been fun. I hope we do more fun trips in the future. Hopefully Katie chooses to stay in for a few more years.

Underwood Family Farms- Easter Festival

My Aunt Mary found a place to take the kids for Easter fun. It was pretty cool!
Emma enjoys the swings a lot.
I found this cute shirt for Mary, she got lots of compliments on it =)
It was a little pricey, but fun. $12 to get in, and then each ticket is a dollar. Some rides cost more than 1 ticket, too :p So glad Emma is still free :p
Egg Hunt. The eggs were filled with little toys =)
Emma just liked the eggs lol.

Before we left we took the kids to pick strawberries. Mary and the kids each got a bag to fill.
It was such a fun day, I am going to come back for the Fall Festival I think. It was a long day, but tons of fun. I'm glad I put sunblock on the kids. Katie loves her cousin Sam a lot. Emma enjoys being outdoors. It was nice. I'm glad Mary invited us!

Thanks for reading my blog!
