Adventure City

Katherine has been asking me to find something fun for us to do with the kids, and I am running out of ideas :p A flier came in the mail for Adventure City, and I thought the kids might like that. It's kind of far for us, but it's not too expensive and it was fun last time we went. When we got there, we were even given a military discount since Katherine's husband is in the service.

We even sat for a Magic Show, it was pretty cool. Lots of jokes for the kids. The only bad part- Katie is now a little too big for this place. There were only about 10 rides, and they weren't very entertaining for more than an hour or so for Katie. Katherine's daughters really liked the carousel and wanted to go on over and over. Katie wanted to ride the roller coaster and the other girls were too short to go on, so we had to split for a little while. Might not try this one again unless they get faster rides :p

Happy 4th Birthday Katie!!

My daughter is about to be 4. Crazy. We celebrated a little early this year, so her cousins could be part of her special day. We rented a party room over at Adventure City down in California City. We didn't invite everyone, because we knew most people wouldn't want to make the commute. David's Dad was the first to say he wouldn't want to drive that far, but we still wanted to take Katie for her birthday, so we resorted to doing 2 parties for her. One with my family, and one with my husband's. So we invited my family, David's Mom, and a few friends to come along, and Katie really enjoyed herself. I love when she has fun days.
Not quite sure why the birthday button at Party City had "Dream Girl" written on it, but hey, I went with it.
This little Taxi will drive the birthday girl over to the party room. Pretty neat way to make them feel special.
I bought all the Rapunzel plates and cups and such, to keep a theme for her.
I think this is the first time we didn't get a Cold Stone or sponge cake for her birthday. This is just Wal-Mart I believe. Came out very pretty.

Happy Birthday To You!
*Making a wish*
Blowing them out!
Love the Disney dresses she got for her birthday. So pretty, and great for our Disney trips.
Another perk for having a birthday at Adventure City, the birthday kid gets to sit up front on the train, with the conductor. Choo Choo!
She's so brave going on a rollercoaster. Just proves she's growing up. Bittersweet.

This ride she did not care for. She tried it, which I am proud of her for, but I didn't think she'd want to go on twice. And she didn't. Mom's know this stuff.

My friends and their daughters.
Super fun day. The Magic Show, the Petting Zoo, the rides, the people. Katie had a great birthday, thanks everyone!

Happy 2nd Birthday Hannah!

We went to Adventure City for Hannah's 2nd birthday. ((Mary, my Mom, Desiree, Blake, Ashleigh, David, Hannah, Madison, Katie, and I)) Anthony had to work, but he joined us later for presents at my Mom's house. It was a fun day, the weather was so nice :) ((vroom vroom))
Hannah wanted to go on the "horsies" first. David was dying to go on a rollercoaster, so he got in line for this one, and I was the lucky one that got to go on with him....lol.
In theory, these are cool- the kids turn the wheel and it makes them go. In reality, they all needed to be pushed, or they wouldn't even go 1 mph.
Hannah was supposed to ride this, since she was the birthday girl, but she wasn't going for it, so Davidand Katie happily hopped on lol. A worker pushed them in it to the table where we ate. Mary bought sooooo much food. 5 pizza's, onion rings, salad, curly fries, hot wings, punch, soda, cake.
David loved this ride! Blake took him on a rollercoaster. David was so little his head barely popped up over the edge lol. The kids liked the petting zoo. David tried to feed the animals, but they all attacked him like hungry dogs and he dropped the food in one second lolol.

Hannah got to go on stage at the magic show, and everyone sang Happy Birthday to her. They also gave her a shirt that says "Adventure City."
When we got to my Mom's, Katie heard the "MeeMee Man" and the kids got Push-ups.David was so tired he knocked out for hours!
She loved her dollies the best.
Katie was so sad watching Hannah open all the presents. She was too little to understand why she couldn't have any toys...

Thanks for reading my blog!
