Riley's Farm

Katie had the day off school, so my Mom planned a trip to Riley's Farm. The only problem was, since it wasn't a weekend, they didn't have many activities going on.We had lunch, which was super yummy and nice cold drinks in their cool mugs. Topped off with a cookie dessert, yum.
The kids walked around exploring, climbed trees, and posed for pictures :p
Apple picking was pretty cool when we found these handy dandy apple picking tools.
The girls just loved this secret clubhouse. They wanted to play in it all day.
When we ran out of things to do at Riley's, we headed over to a pumpkin patch we passed on the way. It looked so cool, a lot of neat rides and things to do there. The kids each got some tickets and were able to go  on some bounce houses and go-karts and things. We let them pick, mostly. We did have to stop them from spending $40 on just bounce houses and slides, lol.

Before we left the girls each picked a pumpkin to take home and carve =)
A nice way to spend a day off off school!

Happy Birthday, Mom!

For my Mom's birthday, we took the girls to Riley's Farm. But first, my Mom wanted to go on a short hike she went on a few weeks back with her brother and sisters. I brought my camera along of course! Katie is my little model, she poses great for me!

Love these kids to the moon. Truly and forever.

 Had such a yummy lunch!!
Katie wanted to buy a candy apple for her teacher, they're her favorite.

My Mom almost killed us on that hike, not remembering it the right way- we brought the stroller because she said it was nice and easy. There were TONS of rocks and hills and dirt and it was SO not easy pushing that stroller!! hahaha, miserable. Longer than she remembered too! We couldn't wait to get back to the car to head over to Riley's Farm and eat lunch! After the hike was really nice though, just enjoying the day and taking photos. They sold out of apples so we couldn't go apple picking or make apple cider today, bummer. Emma was pretty good today and Katie was great!  Love them so much. Glad my Mom had a fun birthday with us! =) David was at Karli's tonight, celebrating her birthday his family. Hope they had fun too!

Riley's Apple Farm

We wanted to go to Riley's Farm to take some family photos and to have fun of course. But, it's closed on Sunday's. Except we didn't remember that until we drove all the way down there in Oak Glen. Luckily, Riley's Apple Farm right next door, IS open on Sunday's =) So not a total loss. Actually, I think I might like it better. Seems like there is more to do. Only, I wish they had a yummy restaurant too.

Rachel was going to be my photographer today =)
We made apple cider of course. Picked which apples we wanted.
 Crushed them.
 Squeezed all the juice out.
And stuck it in a gallon =)

They were selling Ho Cakes for $1. What's a Ho Cake? We had no idea. I tried to tell them it's "The Ho Thing" but no one bought that, haha. But my Mom and Rachel bought one, because they looked yummy on the grill.

I bought a few activities for Katie to do. Knife Throwing, Tomahawk throwing, and Archery. They were a little difficult for her, maybe next time when she's older.
We walked around to pose a bit.

Found a stage and Katie put a show on for us.
For dinner we stopped at The Elephant Bar. I love going to new places. Truly. And the menu here looked delicious, I didn't know what to choose! David ordered appetizers.

Fun day, fun night!

Riley's Farm

My Mom, Katie, and I went to Riley's Farm for the day. It was really fun! As soon as we got there we had a bbq lunch. It was yummy!

Then my Mom bought us a ticket to make fresh apple juice. We picked apples from some big bins and put them into our crate.

Katie put the apples into the crusher.
My Mom and I took turns crushing.
And then we had some yummy apple juice to drink! Katie loved it! It was so fresh it was like you were biting into an apple.

The only thing in season were pumpkins and apples, so we bought a bag to pick apples. Last time we came, we were able to pick raspberries and blackberries.

Lastly we let Katie just walk around and play. She liked the lake. And running!

 She told me a secret.

Ice cream before the car ride home! :)
Super fun day, super cute pictures.

Thanks for reading my blog!
