Our day was really great today, even the morning started off good, with the girls playing together and loving each other. Emma just loves her big sister so much. She's lucky to have Katie.
We headed for Long Beach to go on a boat ride my Mom found for us. It was fast and cool, the kids really liked it. It took us over to the Queen Mary where we were going to walk around and explore, but they wouldn't let us on the boat without a ticket =/ We were surprised, since we've been on it before, and never had tickets before. Such a bummer, now we were stuck with nothing to do, waiting for the boat to come back and pick us up.
When it finally came back we hopped on and headed back to where we started on the pier.
Even if we did get stranded for an hour, it was still a fun ride. The kids were able to stand up and look at the ocean as we rode along. There were indoor seats too, but we wanted the view.
Afterwards we stopped at a Chronic Taco for my Mom, since she was bummed when they closed the one in our town. Emma fell asleep in the wagon, apparently the boat ride was too exciting for her, haha. She took a nice nap while we headed back to the car to go home. A pefect summer day, minus not being able to get on the Queen Mary. We made fun memories. Tomorrow is the 4th! Fireworks! I can't wait!
