Jelly Belly Flop

My Mom invited Desiree and her family to join us at the Jelly Belly Factory for a breakfast with the Easter Bunny. We didn't tell Katie so she would be surprised. We were the ones surprised though--my Mom didn't make reservations so we couldn't get in. hahaha. We did do the tour instead though, and learned about the jelly beans and got free samples. Afterwards, we went to Denny's together and had breakfast without the Easter Bunny lol.
There is a cool park in Sacramento we've been to before, and my Mom took us there again. It costs money to get in, but it's nice and cute there. They had an Easter Egg Hunt that day we found out, so the kids were excited. Until we learned all the eggs were empty. haha. You turn them in after you're done, and get 1 piece of candy for your whole basket. Too funny. Emma would rather have the egg, haha. They played on the playground though and had a lot of fun playing together. Kayle was not happy about sharing Katie with her cousins, but eventually they were all playing nicely together.

We drove back home after saying bye to everyone. The kids fell asleep of course, and it was a long ride home. We were so tired but so glad to be home! It was a fun vacation but maybe next time we won't bring any friends with us, LOL. Katie's was so loud the whole time, I should have gotten ear plugs hahaha. It was cool though, glad we were able to experience it.

Painted Ladies & Trolleys

This morning we headed to the Full House house and the Painted Lady houses that were in the opening theme song. The house they lived in didn't look the same, it was painted, maybe to get people to stop taking pictures in front of it, who knows lol. The Painted Ladies were cool though, Katie even recognized them from one of the shows she watches now, on the Disney Channel.
The kids played at a small park for a little bit and met a cool dog who caught a frisbee they kept throwing at him.
We went to the Fisherman's Wharf and walked around for a little bit, then waited in a really long line to ride a trolley, because you can't go to San Fransisco without riding one.

We got off the trolley to try this ice cream shop my Mom read about. The kids got a cone and slurped it while we went to see the Crooked Road.
We wanted to ride the Go-Karts they had, but we had more kids than adults, so we wouldn't fit =/ Maybe next time! The crooked road was pretty cool, we walked down the side together.

After that, we left and headed to the next hotel in a different city. We have plans to go to the Jelly Belly Factory tomorrow before going home =) And of course we tried out the pool before going to bed ;)

The Golden Gate Bridge

We had a big day today. We woke up and headed to the Golden Gate Bridge. Couldn't find parking or anything, it was so crowded. My Mom finally dropped me off with the kids to snap a few photos and picked us up after. Boy, was it colder than we thought it would be! haha. The kids got banana mushed all over my jacket, so I was freezing :p

After my Mom picked us up, we found a spot a few blocks away to park, and we walked the bridge. We got just about to the end, when the kids started complaining and getting tired, so we turned around since we still had to walk back across and to the car.
After the bridge, my Mom took us to do some more walking, at Muir Woods. Katie had known all about the man who founded it, from school. Too cool. She was telling us about it. It was a nice short hike, very pretty.

Katie wanted to help be our guide and show us where to go.
We also found a cool park to tale the kids to. Lots of things to play on, and a really cool rock slide they were going down, while sitting on a piece of cardboard. This might have been their favorite part of the day.

After the park, we found a diner to eat at. The kids got their meals and ice cream dessert before we headed back to the hotel. Emma loved her chocolate ice cream!
When we got back to the hotel we let the girls go swimming. They had a super fun day!

Spring Break, San Fransisco

My Mom planned a trip to San Fransisco for Katie's spring break this year. Katie asked if she could please bring a friend, because she gets bored with just Emma. Abby said she would be too scared to be without her parents for that long, so Katie invited her friend Kayle. We left in the morning and made a pit stop at a cute place the kids ran and played in for a while. It had a tree house, animals, store, swing, etc. It was a neat place to get some energy out at, after being in the car for a few hours. They even got ice cream in the ice cream shop before we left. Yummy snack.

When we got to the hotel, the kids played in the big tub they had. We didn't know how to go about bath time, with a friend there, so we had them both wear their bathing suits, haha.

School Easter Party

Katie's class had a party to celebrate Easter/the last day of school before Spring Break. The kids made a snack, ate some veggies, and played around talking to each other. Emma wandered around looking for things to play with. Katie had a good day, I think she's excited to be out of school for a week too =)
