Candy Cane Lane 2014

One of my favorite holiday traditions- Candy Cane Lane. I love walking around looking at the pretty lights and eating snacks. This year, the snacks let me down though. The city started making them pay taxes for selling treats, so the prices were raised this year =( $4 for a brownie (and they throw in a free water bottle) but still. That's expensiveee. Bummer. AND they can't sell after 9pm anymore. We had to hurry and pick a snack before closing time. I got nothin'. They sold out of brownies and weren't making more since it was close to 9. Katie got popcorn and a brownie, but forgot her brownie on the table while she stirred her hot chocolate and we walked away without it, not realizing it until a few minutes later =/ The kids all had a lot of fun though. We all drove up in Ashleigh's van together.

I know it's mostly the same decorations every year- but I still love it!

The wagon was a big hit. All the lazy kids were crying and trying to squish in it. We made them take turns, but they still whined lol. Hopefully they're better walkers next year :p

Candy Cane Lane 2013

This year we took Sam with us to Candy Cane Lane since he was in town =) We borrowed the wagon from Gee Gee's house so the kids wouldn't get tired.
 The Grinch's dog.

I had to carry Emma the whole time. She's one spoiled baby!

We were supposed to meet up with Lauryn and her family, but they got there so much later than us and the kids were getting so fussy waiting around for them, we just couldn't do it. We just went our own way and enjoyed the night getting lots of snacks. Sam kept turning down the snacks, saying he wasn't allowed to have hot chocolate and stuff, crazy boy. Desiree must tell him that a lot lol. He's so cute. It was a crowded night, jam packed, but the kids still liked looking around. I won't even mention the bummer Candy Cane Tour my Mom tried to take us on before the lights =/

Christmas Lights With Jaren

Lancaster has a small street that decorates for Christmas every year. We got the kids together to go do that, and Katie wanted to be fancy for Jaren, so she packed her Christmas dress in her backpack today when she went to school. She said "he's going to say I'm so beautiful in this dress." haha. Love her sooo much. She's so cute. Christy's house is decorated so pretty for every occasion, she has a few big Christmas trees that she decorated beautifully.

We stayed in the car because it was cold out, and Camden ended up crying the whole time, because he hates the car right now. Haha. But OTHER THAN THAT! Fun night for the kids, lol. Leah and Rachel aren't in the pictures, but they went too =)

Candy Cane Lane, Best Friend Style!

Katherine is back in town!! I am so excited. And now, I have someone to go on my trips with me, for a little bit at least =) When I invited her to Candy Cane Lane, of course she came with me! She brought Izzy and Audri along too.
I made sure to have cash on me, so I could buy snacks for Katie. We started the walk with hot chocolate!

Cake Pops were a close second!

 Katie loved the dog, Max.
 A Santa donkey!
Super happy she's visiting for Christmas!
Since the dog was so dang adorable to Katie, she wanted to stop by again to see him on our way back to the car.
We stopped by Starbucks and then headed on home. Such a great night! I love when Katherine is in California! Katie had a friend to play with, I had a friend, and Audri was a good little girl in her stroller =)

Candy Cane Lane With Grandmas

I love holidays things/events. Candy Cane Lane is one of them. We go every year, and it's always so fun. Some people are lazy and drive through, but I prefer to walk it.
For one, you can buy all the yummy snacks they sell along the way if you walk. Katie got a cupcake that looked like Rudolph. So cute!
One of the houses even had a stage. Pretty cool.
Of course Katie the star needed to shine up there. She's the best.
 So true, lol.

The people that lived in this house, really had the last name Grinch. So they worked with it, and made their whole yard into a Grinch theme, including the song playing as you walked by.
And hey, pay $2 and you can get your picture taken with the Grinch!
I think this house was Katie's favorite. It had the Disney Princesses. The only problem was most of them were covered with plastic. I wonder if it rained recently down here. So pretty though.
It even had Tinkerbell dangling, I mean, flying through the air.
Peter Pan and Captain Hook fighting up on the balcony.
Pretty fun night. I think I'll come back next year ;p

Thanks for reading my blog!
