Labor Day

On Labor Day Katie and I got up early to go hiking around Crestline with my Mom, Mary, and Dave Dave. Mary had bought a double stroller at a yard sale and wanted to try it out on the two kids. That sucker was heavy to push, I felt sorry for Mary, but was not about to volunteer! haha! I would not be able to push it for even a quarter of a mile. On the way there I got carsick, and felt blah. When we got there we hiked around 3 miles they say. I say it felt like 10. LOL. Mary found an apple tree and picked one for David. She says it was the sweetest apple she's ever tasted. I was too prissy to try it, it was dirty from a tree, and ripe in my opinion. I told her to throw it on the floor lol. But David chomped that sucker down like it was candy. While we were walking around we found a small lake. David liked it a lot! He threw a fit when it was time to go. He must have whined for 10 minutes over that lake! Then we found some sprinklers to play in. It sounds like a nice, fun, hike. But oh my gosh I promise I will never go back! Between being tired from walking, and the heat, and David whining, oh gosh. That was it for me. And to top it all off on the way home Katie threw up a little. Then we went to McDonald's for an ice cream cone on the way home. Even though she was carsick, she still slurped the ice cream up, and got mad when it was all gone. David also chomped his down, then asked for everyone else's too. He succeeded with me, and got the rest of my cone. Then when he finished, he asked my Mom for hers, and Mary for hers, but they didn't get one lol. He's a funny boy.

After we got home, Katie and I went to pick up David so we could go to his family's house and have a barbeque. Katie played in the backyard with Karli and Travis for a while. When the food was done of course she came to me to eat lol. I fed her some corn on the cob (I cut it off the cob for her) and when she was full she walked away from me to go play again. We all went in the front yard Katie decided she wanted to walk up and down the street, so of course I got stuck following her around since I can't just let her wander alone :p When I got bored David pushed Katie and Travis in a wagon they had. When he got tired, his brother Steven pushed them. The kids liked it. After they got out of the wagon, Katie found a soccer ball to play with that she LOVED. David would throw it on the grass and Katie would run after it saying "ball!" It was cute! She played with that ball for at least half an hour. When Prison Break came on, it was time to go. They wanted silence to watch their show haha. I was tired by then anyway and just wanted to collapse lol.
